Purchased this printer back in September 2025, it’s not even a year old and it already has technical issues. It’s connected to the Wi-Fi and obviously connected to power. But when I try to print something from my computer, my laptop, my iPad, my phone or any other device, it will show a printing message, but no further action. And when I try to cancel, it won’t cancel. This printer is a piece of trash.

This is by far the most difficult printer I have ever set up. I have had quite a few printers and I’m currently using an HP printer. This has taken me over a week and many calls and emails to support finally escalating it to an executive escalation manager to try to get it set up. I tried to set up using the HP smart app, which I already have, on my iPhone, iPad & Mac laptop, I printed one picture & it kicked me off wifi, never to return. The message on all devices was “ setup incomplete “ with no way of setting it up, I kept getting sent in circles only to end up at the same place & still not connected. Finally, after the manager got back to me I had to go into menu, tools, maintenance & restore settings. Even that took a few tries because the QR code kept disappearing. I was finally able to print. The printer itself seems bulky to me, I haven’t been able to use the auto document feeder, printing is slow & the quality is just so so. My old printer has a photo & paper tray in the same compartment but separate which is great because you can load both & print from either. This printer doesn’t have that & has to be opened to switch paper type. The tray doesn’t hold much & is very flimsy. I don’t mind the instant ink subscription which comes free for 3 months, I have had a subscription for years & I like it, you always have ink & it’s affordable depending on how much you print, I don’t print often & pay $1.49 a month for 10 pages with rollover pages. This will definitely be a backup printer to my older model since I’m not impressed with the print quality & the setup was extremely frustrating plus it’s missing some features that I liked, the only thing better on this one is the flat display with black background. This is very pricey for what you get, I would not recommend this to anyone, get yourself a better model that is easier to setup!

I had 2 of these crappy printers. I bought one that kept dropping Wi-Fi signal eveytime that I tried to connect and print something via smartphone and PC running Windows 11. I tried troubleshooting with Best buy and it still kept doing the same thing. I took it to the store after 2 weeks and got another. Thinking that it was my set up, I replaced the Wi-Fi router, but to no avail. The new one did the same exact thing the 1st one did. I kept this one almost 2 months getting it to work after restarting everything each time. I finally had it and got a Brother all in one with no connection issues so far. I do not recommend this HP, or any HP for that matter.

I purchased the HP Envy 6555e wireless All-In-One InkJet Printer to replace my previous HP Envy model, intending it for family use so my teenagers could print their schoolwork. I chose this upgraded version specifically for the scanning feature, which I occasionally need. Unfortunately, the printer has been nothing but a headache from the start. It frequently loses connection to our home network, making it unreliable. The scanning feature, which was a major reason for my purchase, only seems to work through the app, adding unnecessary steps and frustration. I regret not returning it within Best Buy’s two-week return window—now I’m stuck with a printer that barely functions. To make matters worse, HP’s customer service is nonexistent. It’s impossible to get through to a real person, and the online chat system sends you in circles without offering any real solutions. I’m shocked that a company with HP’s reputation allows this kind of poor service to continue. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

I have owned HP printers for so many years. Right out of vox during set up cartridge Error! Sending it back asap not worth 179.99. Slow printing too. HP computer won't detect printer either.

makes copies great. does not connect to wifi consistently. need to enter the wifi password each time to print via wifi. error messages when printing in different page formats. needed a printer, ended up with a copier. HP should do better. I would suggest a different model

This is the most unreliable printer I have ever owned. #!. It will not remain wirelessly connected. Resto ring an internet connection is almost a weekly affair. #2. Using HP Smart is an unreliable method to reconnect. The app shows the printer connected, but the printer is is not recognized by the laptop. #3. When attempting to complete wi-fi setup the computer does not recognize the password. How does it know what the password is? I have been pleased with all HP printers I have previously used. This one is in my opinion TRASH.

This printer was easy to set up. However, within a few days it would not connect to the wifi. The last time this happened it said we would have to do the entire set up again! It printed extremely slow so we returned it. We purchased a HP Office Jet Pro 8139e and so far (2 weeks) it always connects. The self healing dual bands on this model has really worked. We have had problems with the HP Envy models as well as far as connecting to our internet.

I bought this as a black Friday purchase. It wouldn't complete the set up process...wouldn't even display the home panel (not even an option, just an error message to load paper). I communicated with customer support for almost two hours and got no help. Troubleshooted only 4-5 times, kept asking for access to my computer, even though it wasn't connected to the printer. I told him I was returning it and he told me, "There's nothing wrong with the product." This morning, I packed it up and returned it, replaced it with an Epson. Set it up with no problem.

10/11/2025... Bought this 05/04/25, set it up June 2025 and added Instant Ink deal. Errors continued... Internet not connected, cartridge problem, account problem... Took the HP Instant ink cartridges out, then watched a YouTube video on resetting printer HP Envy 6555e; restored to factory settings with original ink cartridges in... And hallelujah, I can print from my iPhone and my new HP Touch All-in-One 24-CB1144. Three months of reading, reading, reading Support Pages... and finally disconnecting from "added features, HP apps, Instant Ink"... got it to work. Simple is better, for this simple machine. ** Also, the little digital screen is difficult at times & you may have to turn it OFF to clear messages stuck or to get the little touchscreen to apply your entries. Good Luck if purchasing.

Printer is not better than my old HP which I had for years. This printer is very slow in printing even one sheet. Most of the time it is offline. It is not the quality of any HP product that I've had and I've had several. Not a good purchase. Very disappointed.

This is an awful product. It jumps offline sporadically and won't print. Scanning doesn't function. Worst of all, HP online support is useless. All they can off is to cycle the printer and my wi-fi modem on and off.

Good printer when it’s connected to Wi Fi. Problem is it won’t stay connected. I tried everything HP support suggested but still wouldn’t stay connected! Retuned printer. Would NOT recommend!
