I’ve been using the HP Envy 6555e Wireless All-in-One Inkjet Printer for a week now, and overall, I’d say it’s been a solid addition to my home office setup. It covers my basic print needs like-printing, scanning, and copying. It has some nice wireless features that make it easy to use across devices, like going from my computer to my wife’s laptop. There’re some areas where it falls short, but I think the price point makes a good argument for it. Design and Build: One of the first things I noticed was its design. It has a sleek, modern look that fits perfectly in my workspace without being bulky. The white finish gives it a clean, professional appearance, and it’s compact enough to sit on a desk without taking over the whole area. I love this because I’ve had to rig some sort of pop up table for my previous printers. The touchscreen interface is also nice, making it easy to switch between functions quickly. Performance: I’ve had this for about a week, and so far it does what it promises. Print quality is great for both documents and photos, especially considering this is an inkjet. Whether I’m printing color images or plain text, everything has come out crisp and clear. It’s not the fastest printer, though. If you need to print large documents regularly, you might find yourself waiting a bit longer than you’d like, but for light to moderate use, it works just fine. Again, I’d consider a different printer if you’re regularly printing presentation packets of 20 pages. Connectivity and Setup: Setting up the printer was straightforward, and I had no issues connecting it to my Wi-Fi network or syncing it with my phone using the HP Smart app. It does take longer than other printers because it kinda sets itself up as it goes so you’re waiting a lot. Most of the time I was just sitting next to the printer while it booted up, then connected, aligned the printer, connected to wifi, etc. and it took 21 minutes. Also, the app crashed three times during setup, so that was annoying. Not a dealbreaker, but annoying. The app is pretty cool! I really like that I can select photos from my phone and print them. It’s really cool that I’ve been able to print from my phone or laptop without plugging anything in. While it works well for the most part, it can be a bit slow or unresponsive at times. It’s not a dealbreaker, but I can imagine this might be a problem if someone is in a hurry. Instant Ink: So I’ve only had the printer for a week and don’t need a restock yet, but I like that this can potentially order it for you. Honestly, how many of us have tried to print and it’s out of ink so we gotta go to Best Buy to get a new cartridge?! I’ve been there too many times. I like the idea that the printer can automatically order ink when it’s running low. It might not be for everyone, but I think it’s a cool perk! Pros: Great print quality for documents and photos. Compact design that fits well in most spaces. Easy wireless setup and printing from mobile devices. Touchscreen interface is user-friendly. Automatic ink ordering with the Instant Ink program. Solid build quality for home or small office use. All-in-one functionality (print, scan, copy). Three months of free ink with HP Instant Ink. Cons: Print speed is slower, especially for larger documents. HP Smart app can be a little buggy or slow at times. Two-cartridge ink system might not be as efficient, especially for heavy color printing. Final Thoughts: It’s a solid, versatile printer that handles most tasks well, and it looks good while doing it. The print quality is excellent, and the wireless functionality makes it convenient for anyone working from home or in a small office. The setup was painless, though the app could use some improvements, and the print speed could be faster. But for the price, it’s a strong performer and a good choice for everyday printing. If you need a reliable all-in-one that won’t break the bank, this one’s worth considering. Just don’t expect blazing-fast print speeds

For users with modest home printing needs, the HP 6555e printer is an excellent choice. Setting up the printer and connecting it to Wi-Fi is very easy and straightforward, making it user-friendly. The print quality is commendable, delivering accurate colors, although they might not be as vivid as those produced by higher-end models. Text documents come out crisp and clear, and the scanner and copier functions perform as intended, and the automatic document feeder makes it easy to manage multi-page documents. I like the fact that it only takes two cartridges; one black and the other one handles the colors. Also, the printer's compact and modern design are an advantage, allowing it to easily fit almost anywhere while looking good. However, the 6555e does feel a bit budget-conscious in its construction. Some users might have an issue with the plastic casing that lacks a solid feel. As an occasional user, the print speed is acceptable, but if you print frequently you might find it a bit slow. Overall, the HP 6555e is a great choice for those prioritizing ease of use and affordability over advanced features and performance. It has been a reliable workhorse for everyday printing, scanning, and copying tasks in my household, but keep in mind that it won't surpass high-end models in terms of quality and speed.

The HP Envy 6555e All-in-One Printer is a good-looking printer. But as with anything, looks will only get you so far. So is this printer the one of the endless printers options you should pick up? Well that depends. In terms of style, this is a good-looking printer that won’t feel too bulky or foreboding to keep out in the open in your home office, or wherever you plan to keep it. I do appreciate how low profile the printer is given it also doubles as a copier and scanner via either flatbed or a document feeder. Of note, this is a home printer so the max you can use with the document feeder and in the paper tray will be more limited than the printer at most offices and a 100 page capacity should be fine for home use. Setup was not the easiest I’ve experienced with newer printers. I personally have enjoyed the setup process on the Epson line of printers the most. You can either follow on screen instructions for setting up and connecting your printer to your wireless network. There was a bug (or maybe just poor app design) during the setup process in which the app forced me back to the first step in the setup process. I thought that the connecting process had timed out while connecting to Wi-Fi, or the app disconnected. What I didn’t realize is that the printer was now in-fact connected to my network, but I kept selecting the option to “connect printer to network” at the first option screen I was forced back to instead of selecting the “search for printer on network option” because I thought the app had glitched. If this design was intentional, I imagine a bunch of angry users could end up in the same situation during setup. As for printing, it’s fine. It prints documents quickly and legibly. For photos it’s decent, not my favorite. I’m also not a fan of HP endlessly pushing their Instant Ink program. Not everything needs to have a subscription tied to it, especially not my printer. HP has been very good at wireless document scanning for a few years now. As long as you download the iPhone or the PC companion app, you can live scan directly to your computer over Wi-Fi and save the document directly to your device. You’ll basically be relying on this since the printer lacks one big feature. What I don’t like is that there is not an SD card slot nor a USB port on the device to scan directly to or directly print from. It feels like a big oversight if you’re going to tout it as a photo printing machine, but I guess most people only take photos with their phones anyways so it may not be that big a deal to most. Another minor ding against it is the small touch screen on it, but again, I imagine they want a majority of the settings and configuration to take place within their mobile or desktop apps. Overall, this printer is competitively priced, looks great and offers a decent number of features for the price. Connectivity is lacking compared to what I’m personally used to, and the screen interface is a bit small. HP also tries to push you towards their ink delivery subscription. But overall, this printer will get the job done and look good doing it.

The HP Envy 6555e is an aesthetic and low-profile printer that produces vibrant prints and scan. It functions great at its main purpose, but set-up was the most frustrating process I have encountered in a printer in years. I have set-up several printers over the years, some for home and some for business, and truly have not faced such exasperation during the set-up process of any printer thus far. Nowadays, printers take a few minutes to set-up, an alignment is done, and they’re good to go. This is what the Envy seemed to be intended to do, but it got stuck during alignment, repeating a paper jam alert before it had even taken in any paper. Eventually I was able to “hide” the alert, and it stopped coming up, after which the printer resumed on to the alignment page printout. After this, it got stuck on a screen showing the alignment printout was complete. I could not figure out how to get past that screen. I tried the app to no avail. I pressed the power button in the back to power it off, walked away for a minute, and came back to find it on and responsive again. At this point I kept getting an alert that set-up was incomplete, but it was still working. Apart from this, there was another moment where it became unresponsive. I finally unplugged it because it would not turn off via the power button. I did a factory reset, restarted the set-up process, and after this it worked fine and has worked smoothly since. I have been able to connect it to my other computer and laptop without issue and printed easily from them. My one only other issue is that I cannot find the printer on my iPhone through Airprint, only as remote print. It is a nonissue because the remote prints works fine and I can also print through the HP app, but it annoys me. I have not had this printer issue with my iPhone before. The HP app work great, has many features, but is slow and certain features remain in loading mode, such as setting up Airprint Anywhere, which perhaps is the issue. A Network report I printed stated it “failed” Connectivity but passed everything else, so that may be the issue. I wonder about the possibility that the printer may have gotten some rattling during shipping that may have caused this issue. As for the prints, they are vibrant and crisp. I scanned and copied artwork made by my child and it came out very similar to the original. Letters are crisp, clean, and precise. There isn’t any notable bleeding. It takes 3 seconds for the printer to receive and begin printing and 9 seconds to complete the print of a double-sided text page. I have printed text pages, colorful guides, shipping labels, and my kid’s artwork and the quality of the printouts have not disappointed. The scans from the feeder and flatbed are comparable in quality, albeit whites are brighter and whiter through the feeder. The scan time depends on the resolution that is chosen. 200dpi took 15 secs, 600dpi took 50secs. The touchpad screen is responsive, has great resolution, and makes pleasant sounds. The sound volume and screen brightness are highly customizable. The quality of the printer is thin and light plastic that feels sturdy enough to last normal wear and tear. The low-profile nature of the printer allows it to fit into small spaces and the cord is 5ft long. It has a really nice design that makes it look sleek and less obtrusive than most printers Overall, I really like the printer’s quality. Yes, there were a lot of hiccups with the setup but now that it’s complete, I don’t really see any other outstanding issues arising from it. The Airprint issue is a minor inconvenience I can live with. I feel that the main thing that matters is that it prints, scans, and it connects to my computers well. I would not deter anyone from this printer, rather just warn that issues may arise during set-up, but they too shall pass. Once it’s ready to go it is a great asset to have.

Overall not a bad printer. Comes well package to avoid issues. I like the instant ink feature these printers have as I never have to worry about running out of ink and they have a plan for any budget. I got this one to replace an older one I had that I kept having issues with. The setup was not bad and it was fairly easy to add to my account though it did take a couple tries. Once I had it setup and connected I did some test printing and it did great. That afternoon I needed to print something and it was not showing as available so I went and looked. It showed it was unable to successfully update the firmware so I tried to do it manually and it said it was up to date. So I cleared it and was able to print. My husband then tried later that evening and same thing. Hopefully this is not an ongoing issue. The old one had an issue with being seen so I am hoping that it does not continue with this one. On the bright side this one is a bit smaller so it doesn't take up as much room and has upgraded features. I like that it has auto feed for making copies and the screen is easy to see. It does come with 3 months of free ink even if replacing one on a current plan so that was a bonus. Only time will tell how this one performs.

Set up instructions were easy but when I tried to print a document the next day it kept telling me there was an internet connection issue. Support had to upload a new driver to correct the problem. Since then I have not had any issues.

Very easy to setup and perfect for what I needed. Great price. I just wanted a reliable printer and copier and didn't need anything fancy for my needs. It also is very compact and didn't take up much space. I'm very happy with it.

Im pleasently surprised with this printer. Not only was the set up simple and quick, but the ability to print from the laptop, my phone, and the desktop was also quite easy to manage. The printing is sharp and crisp and the printer does not take up much room at all. Im pleased with this selection.

Only reason it's a 4 for me is the lack of "how to". As far as the printer goes - I had no problem at all with set up - really easy. Print quality is fine. Wish the printed paper support was automatic - I keep having to pick pages off the floor especially if someone else in the house is printing something

The printer is relatively quiet; a bit slower than my former printer, but so far, quality documents. The setup was not as seamless as it should be, but able to get it connected after about 90 minutes (the salesperson told me that he himself ran into long setup time on his own HP printer).

The printer produces wonderful prints but even when printing document it is rather slow. It also did not do well with tshirt transfer paper - the paper got crumpled inside and one of the little pieces inside the printer came out the first time I tried the transfer paper. It still works but hope next time it won't crumple the paper. I also like that before it finishes a print, especially when doing double sided, it pauses for the ink to dry - perhaps a reason it is so slow. Otherwise, it does a great job!

I am not a technical person so I needed a printer I could easily set up and connect to all of my devices. This printer meets that need and prints nicely. I have not played with the scanner function but the copier works nicely too. I am, however disappointed in the need to have a subscription to the ink aspect of this device. The materials say that you can purchase the ink with out the subscription, however, to receive the "3 months free" I had to sign up.

This printer does high-quality prints, but I've had many connectivity issues. Part of this may be because of the bad wifi in my dorm, but sometimes this printer will not connect to the wifi or my computer. However, if I unplug it for a few seconds and then plug it back in, this will usually fix the problem. Also, the scanner can be very slow, probably because it has to email it over the slow wifi. If you need a cheap printer for college, though, I would recommend this one.

I always ALWAYS buy my tech at Best Buy because they stand behind their products. When the rare issue occurs they take care of it promptly and courtiously every time!! I bought this printer first several weeks ago, due to a good sale deal. It broke with light usage within 2 weeks. This one is the replacement for the return of the broken one. Overall I like the printer for the price. Fingers crossed on this second one.

HP ENVY 6555e -set up was a little tricky-had to start over several times. Some pre settings were confusing the issue. Now seems to work fine and do exactly what I needed.
