The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 is that the printer is not wireless, needs to be connected to LAN via ethernet cable, otherwise I love this printer. If you print tons of pages this is your best option, I spent hours with hp support team prior to purchase this one, understanding cost per page. It also prints at very good speed, and double sided.

Printer was easy to install. The print speed and quality are great for such an inexpensive printer. Great value!

I bought this to replace my aging but beloved and well used HP LJ2100. I wanted something with roughly the same dimensions but that also did duplex printing natively and had built-in Ethernet. This printer delivered flawlessly. It was easy to even set my iPad to print to it. Easy to configure. I've had this printer for over 2 years now and it's still great. I don't print a bunch, so I'm still on my original toner cartridge, but am using the Economode setting to save on toner since I don't print graphics much. Very fast. One thing that I can't fault the printer on exactly, is when I'm printing from the manual tray, depending on which application I'm in it will either print on the top of the sheet or the bottom, and it's kind of a gamble which one it will be. Highly recommended.

A lot of research and this was the best out there. Great price, excellent duty cycle for a small office, fast delivery and easy installation. I could not be more please unless it had been free.

This device was easy to set-up and it prints sharp copies faster than any printer we have used in the past. The two-sided printing, label and envelope printing are simple to use and the two-sided printing make for efficient use of paper supplies.

Good printer for the money. You will save a lot of money on expensive toner by purchasing a black and white printer.

As expected this HP printer performs very well. Esdy abd wuick to set up. Especially like the doible sided printing except for one thing. Need to turn off doubleside if do not want for a specific printing. Would prefer to turn it on when needed.

This printer was a very easy setup and works very great.

The Black printers hp put out the 401's were total junk,. I chose this as an alternative and it has been fantastic so far. I dropped the tray out of one and it broke, HP had a replacement unit within 2 days.

This is an exceptional printer. I would recommend it for anyone who is not looking for color printing. It is fast, quiet and the print is exceptionally sharp.

I've been using the printer for just over a week and so far am very happy with it. It's fast and quiet -- and does two-sided printing, which I love!

I haven't put this printer through it's paces all the way just yet, but I needed a b/w laser printer that duplexes, has Ethernet/wireless connectivity, without any scanning/faxing stuff, and that's fairly compact. This printer meets all of those needs and connecting it to my iPad for printing was surprisingly effortless. By the way this printer replaced a 1999 vintage HP LJ2100, which was another great printer but was starting to show evidence of needing a whole maintenance kit and was pretty slow.

I bought the one with Ethernet. It was easy to set up and fast to print. We have a wired home office network.
