Insignia™ - 4.1 Cu. Ft. Top-Load Washer with ColdMotion Technology - Metallic Gray

Thank you for your inquiry! The Insignia™ 4.1 Cu. Ft. Top Load Washer with ColdMotion Technology and the NS-TWM41WH8A model are quite similar in capacity and basic features, but there are a few key differences that set them apart. The newer model with ColdMotion Technology is designed to enhance cold water washing by using dynamic wash actions to improve detergent performance, making it more energy-efficient and potentially gentler on clothes. It also has a slightly more modern design and a marginally smaller lid clearance, which could be helpful in tighter spaces. On the other hand, the NS-TWM41WH8A is a well-established model with thousands of user reviews, indicating long-term reliability and consistent performance. While it lacks ColdMotion, it’s a proven option that many users have trusted over time. If you’re looking for newer technology and better cold water performance, the ColdMotion model may be the better choice. But if you prefer a washer with a strong track record and wide user feedback, the NS-TWM41WH8A is a solid and dependable option.

Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, you can leave the plastic inlet filters that came pre-installed in your Insignia™ 4.1 Cu. Ft. Top Load Washer for the hot and cold water lines. These filters are designed to catch debris or sediment from your water supply, helping to protect the washer’s internal components from potential damage. They are located at the tip of the inlet hose, just before the rubber washer. Unless they become clogged or damaged, there’s no need to remove them. However, it’s a good idea to check and clean them periodically if you notice reduced water flow. Keith | Insignia Support
