I purchased two sets of these JBL 3.5" speakers to upgrade the center dash and upper door speakers in my 2015 Mustang GT. They made a noticeable improvement in overall sound quality, though I was hoping for a bit more sparkle and clarity in the high frequencies. Installation was fairly straightforward, but the factory door speaker brackets required some minor modifications for proper fitment. I paired these with a set of JBL GTO 6.5" speakers to keep the system consistent with JBL components throughout. Since the Mustang's factory audio system already uses built-in high-pass and low-pass filters, dedicated 6.5" woofers may have been a better choice than full-range speakers for the lower positions. That said, these 3.5" speakers are a solid upgrade for anyone retaining the stock amplifier. Their 3-ohm design helps extract more power from the factory system, resulting in improved performance compared to stock speakers. Overall, I recommend these speakers for anyone looking to enhance sound quality while keeping the factory amplifier.

How did they blow so quickly? I don’t have a ultimate set up or any Vader’s crossovers any of that jargon just a simple system hooked up to the battery but all my speakers end up popping even these.
