Questions & Answers
Installed in a 2014 grand Cherokee limited, with stock speakers and aftermarket android CarPlay head unit, what is the max decibel level you can produce from this set up?
Answered by JBL SupportThanks for your inquiry. Harman does not publish a maximum SPL (decibel) specification for the JBL BassPro 12 or for complete vehicle audio systems. The maximum sound level achievable in a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with stock speakers, an aftermarket head unit, and a JBL BassPro 12 depends on multiple variables including vehicle acoustics, installation quality, amplifier settings, source material, and the condition of the factory speakers. Therefore, we are unable to provide a verified maximum decibel rating for that setup. If you need further assistance, you may contact our customer support directly.
is this for home or car use?
Answered by JBL SupportThanks for your inquiry. Our JBL BassPro 12 is designed specifically for use in vehicles, as it’s a powered 12‑inch subwoofer made for car audio systems. It needs automotive‑style power and installation, so it isn’t suitable for home use. Home audio setups use different power requirements and connection types, and this model isn’t built for that environment.
Will Geek Squad help me install this in my vehicle?
