I bought these after reading reviews not just on Best Buy but other sites. I have to say, for not having an amp hooked up to them, they sound very good. Definitely better than stock. I got them on a 2013 Accord Sport. I bought the stock tweeter panels and made it all look stock. Eventually I will hook them up directly to an amp for much better sound.

First off I want to tell you that I am extremely satisfied with my product and the installation geek squad provided me installing the speakers. I for one am a musical snob to say the least, when it comes to sound I have a good ear. the product is far better than any coaxial speaker as the tweeters are separate from the mid speaker. the speakers have a large range and the tweeter is large and provides a wide range of directional support to the sound. the mid woofer hits, but not very very hard, if you want good bass buy a subwoofer as well . the speakers can handle some serious volume with the 280w peak. and minor, minimal distortion may occur at like max volume. but I haven't noticed any distortion at 95% of max. THATS PRETTY LOUD. the speakers handle talk radio and books like you are sitting with the person and they are reading to you like you are there. it can handle highs well as I listen to trance music ... I have also played some symphony type music and the sounds are ok ... thank you hope you found this helpful.... the installation is always guaranteed.. as I took mine back twice because of door panel vibrations. but they took care of it for free. and the warranty for the speakers are amazing. if I do happen to blow them . which I may try to do. they cover the cost of the speakers and the reinstallations. Personally I don't know why anyone would not buy anything from BESTBUY. they are truly amazing.

I bought these to replace a pair of speakers that I purchased sometime in 1997, yes, I seem to hold on to my cars. Way back in the late 90's I purchased what was essentially the same speaker. One of them eventually failed but given that I didn't drive the car much at the time I didn't bother to fix it. Now that the car is coming close to a classic status I have started to do some upgrades. The speaker installed easily and come with some nice brackets that allow a professional looking installation. The only caveat that I will give is to make sure that you have enough power to drive these speakers. These speakers will not work well on a factory stereo without an additional amp. I installed these in an MR2 with the factory head unit since the dash design doesn't lend itself well to an upgraded head unit. To say they sounded pretty bad was an understatement. Once I added in an Alpine Power Pack Amp to the car the system sounds great.

So I purchased these speakers to replace my old Pioneer cheap speakers i had in my front doors. After mounting the tweeters on my door (wired at -2db) and fine tuning the equalizer and frequencies on my stereo, these things scream! Highs and Mids hit hard, loud, and clear! There is no distortion at high volumes at all! The lows/bass on these are surprisingly "punchy" very good, also no distortion at all when properly configured on your amp or stereo. (I am powering these speakers with my Kenwood In-dash Head-Unit, i am sure these things sounds even better with an external amp). The build quality is very solid on the Crossover Box, Woofer, and Tweeter. As far as the extra low Bass no 6.5inch speaker is going to produce that type of sound. Therefor a subwoofer "may" be recommended depending on the sound you are looking for. Just for comparison, my friend has the Alpine Type R Components (also powered by his In-dash Stereo) and i honestly could not tell that much of a difference between the two. (Now, this outcome could differ if he was using an external amp). Another friend has the Infiniti Kappa Components and the highs on the tweeters are just too brutal. You just cannot go wrong with these speakers at this price!

I bought these speaker to replace front door speakers in my car. They sound good and were easy to install. The tweeters pivots. The inline crossover wire could have been a little bit longer. Best Buy sale guy was awesome!!!!!

As i said above, these speakers are an excellent buy. Great sound across the range, although the bass does drop off at high volunes (50% or higher). Just what i needed for my subaru. Highly recommend these as a stock upgrade.

Very clear sound. Easy to replace factory components at a very reasonable price. Also purchased the 5x9's in same series for rear deck.

Using with a 40 watt RMS amp these speakers sound much larger than their size and put out a nice full range of sound. Only downside is that the tweeters have no good solution for on surface mounting. You must break the legs off the bucket that holds it to mount on top of a surface. The locations where the legs were are very visible and the holder is cheap looking. If you are flush mounting it offers a nice setup

I had these installed in the front doors of my 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. They replaced a pair of Hifonics Atlas ATL653 3-way coaxial speakers. This is the first time I've tried component speakers and it was well worth the added cost. The only caution I give is that these require an amplifier to demonstrate how good they really are. I have an Alpine KTP-445U Power Pack and it's a great match. I am now planning to add these same speakers to another vehicle.

I bought these for my 01 Sierra then a 80yr old lady thought she should be driving at midnight then she ran a red light & totaled my truck. Put these in a 01 Yukon and the sound is great! A bit low on the bass response but they aren't exactly real big to be handling deep bass either.

I installed these in my 04 Honda CRV-LX. Had to make a flange to mount the speakers in the original front door holes. They do sound better than the OEM speakers. The midranges are a little too deep for the car door, otherwise OK.
