The KICKER CXA400.1 amplifier will produce 150 watts RMS when connected to a single 4-ohm load speaker as you specified. If you are looking for great sound and performance without maximum SPL (loudness), the CXA400.1 will work fine. If you desire more SPL with the single 4-ohm speaker load you currently have, you may be better suited to use a KICKER CXA800.1 instead as it will provide 300 watts RMS in to a 4-ohm load.
