The LG - 4.5cu washer was introduced by the Best Buy's saleman. He explained all the details of the washer and we finally decided to buy it. After 1 month of using, the washer is easy to use, large capacity, quiet, high efficiency and the clothes are super clean. I highly recommend this washer. Beside that, I am happy to give 6 stars ****** to the saleman who recommended this item to us. :)

This washer is great. Modern, full of technology, and does everything it needs to do efficiently. Only dissappointment was with the contractors bestbuy sent to install. Initially it was a horrible experience, as they were not professional at all and didn’t do the installation at all, but left a mess. Than bestbuy sent a different group to complete the install. Without that incident this would’ve been perfect. But the product is great.

Simple interface that is easy to use. Great options. If you are willing, can setup the order of what options you use the most. Clothes are cleaner than my previous front loader. Super quiet and so much faster than my previous front loader too! Haven't used the steam feature yet. Love the color too.

I bought this washer as a set, and when it was delivered...I wouldn't wait to use it! I am a pet owner, and I washed my first load of personal laundry. I noticed that the washer had a deep clean quality, and my laundry came out nice and clean....so I washe the dog blankets in the second load. The results were noticeable right away. All the dirt, dog hair, and dog odor were gone! I was very surprised! I most definitely recommend investing in this wahing machine! It is also a quiet, smooth running machine! I have owned my washer for a little over 1 month...and I am happy with it thus far...I feel I invested my money well! Thank u Best Buy! Ur awesome!

So close to being great, but they made choices to be mediocre. I'm an engineer and have been doing the laundry for years. I sort my loads, have specific detergents for different needs, read labels, read techniques. While maybe not an expert, I believe I'm well beyond 'average' in my knowledge, understanding, and expected results in the laundry department. First, the machine works decent, and I haven't explored all the options. This is my second 'steam' machine and I've yet to try that out (but wasn't willing to give up that option during purchase; maybe future need? But in reality, you don't need steam). Only problem so far with about 4 months of use: the machine Squeaks Badly. During all cycles, and especially during spin. I called Support and they asked for the serial number: First Complaint: If you have a Smart Machine, and it's connected, your tech support should just ask 'can we retrieve your machine data?' and push a button which downloads model, serial, last uses, error codes. Not doing this means they have not thought out what a smart appliance really is. Main Complaint: Recall I read my clothes labels. I know what the symbols mean. But when I read 'machine wash cold, gentle cycle' I expect the machine to have a selection corresponding to that clothes mfr recommendation. Alas, there is no such magic. In fact, when you start the machine, it offers 'intelligent selection' and is offering a Hot cycle. No, that's not intelligent. And the manual does not explain how it makes its determination. Next Complaint: remember the 'machine wash cold' clothes I'm trying to do? You can cycle through all the menus and only two offer a potential for cold: timed cycle and delicate, neither which are what I'm desiring. Fortunately, I was able via the app to get into an expert menu and reconfigure some choices, so now with my 'Normal' setting, I can choose the temperature. Next Complaint: I did a 'Normal' and chose Hot for my whites. I found an extra article to add, and hit Pause to open the door. But, the designers saved my life or health by REFUSING TO OPEN THE DOOR because it's too hot. OK, I get it, give me an override instead of leaving me * off, because if I cancel the whole cycle, it'll drain and waste my detergent (and maybe take a while since it wants to save me from scalding? Mind you, the house's water heater has a no-scald setting...) Complaint: Needs an expert mode Complaint: There's a light in the drum. On cycle completion, you open the door and the light comes on, but it goes out in like 30 seconds: I can't get the laundry out in 30 seconds. AND, the lens collects water drops causing chromatic dispersion of the light, making it look like there are major stains in the just-washed clothes. AND, you can't turn the light on during the cycle?? I love to watch the clothes tumble: that's a huge denial. Complaint: LG sends me an announcement 'new download available' so I do it: it's only for a new jingle to signify cycle complete: Big W (not). Complaint: Best Buy installation: a pair of non-native English speakers arrive, one with enough English skills. These truck drivers are charged with the technical commissioning of my machine. They proceeded to discard the shipping restraints, failed to install the electrical strain relief, got it in place, hit a button and were out the door; generally I would have done a much better job if left to myself. Suggestion: if the machine was really smart, give me the ability to design my own cycle!

I really love this LG washer. It has a sleek and contemporary design and is incredibly easy for any user (tech savvy or not) to use. The wifi connectivity makes it super convenient for wanting to know when your cycles are done, and it is very easy to clean. Highly recommend this machine for anyone seeking a new washer.

I love my LG washer and dryer set! Absolutely beautiful. I also love all the features and things you can do with the app. It is also connected to my Alexa echo dots. The washer and dryer both work very well, and I haven’t had any problems or anything. Initially getting them connected to my wifi took a little time, but it worked. And I’ve had them connected since day 1. I am a fan of the little jingles that play when the load is finished. 10/10 would recommend. Great quality and great aesthetics, fit perfectly into my new apartment’s laundry room [this was my first time having to purchase a washer and dryer of my own]. I will have these for several years to come!

Works well thus far. It replaced an LG that only made it 3 years. The color matches the previous version. I like the new design — more of a flat front than curved. The round dial with integrated display is nice as well. We’ll see if this one lasts. 5 yr warranty was purchased. Photo below shows new (left) vs old design.

Very effective at cleaning with great features! The phone notifications when I forget to take something out of the washer has saved me more than once from having to re-run a load.
