I did a lot of research before buying. With my last washer it would take me 3 loads compared to one in this washer. It is deep and I can see where people complain about not being able to reach the clothes in the bottom. But I am 5'3 and just stand on my tippie toes. I do not have to use a stole as others reviewers do. I do not like how you can not choose turbo washer and fabric sofner at the same time. The turbo wash is a nice function. It also changes the time once it senses the load most of the time it takes less time. It did not wash a king comforter very well. It came out with dry stops. It is very quite. I love the music it plays when its done, way better than a load deep! The thing I love the most is the size. It is saving me a lot of time.

Best Buy was very helpful - there were a lot of good washing machines to pick from. Ended up with a floor model - got a good deal and the machine has been a revelation. It fits a huge amount of clothes, works quickly and quietly, and the clothes get clean. An added bonus is that the spin cycle is so effective the dryer does much less work than before!

So far so good. We replaced our lemon Samsung washer, which had failed four times in 2 years, requiring repair. The LG washer seems quieter and more efficient at thoroughly cleaning the clothes. There have been no mechanical or leak issues so far. We picked this product based not only on ratings from the Best Buy site, but also Consumer Reports.

I have both washer and dryer set.. It took me one month to figure out what washer and dryer set was the best to purchase, after watching and reading tons of research, videos, comments, and ratings I finally decided to buy this set .There's people complaining about high efficiency washers using too little water or not rinsing well.... you MUST read the manual, washer has tons of settings including more water and extra rinsing, I have not used these options and I don't need to as the washer do its job very well with very little water. I put two very dirty bathroom floor mats in the washer with the "speed wash" option which only take 30 mins and it totally exceeded my expectations, they came out cleaner than ever, I used the same settings with all my towels and they came out super clean... just make sure you read the manual and fully understand the machine and you'll love it.

It's huge inside, and a little difficult to reach garments at the bottom of the bin. Otherwise no issues. Does a great cleaning job and can do rugs and comforters. It's quiet enough. I recommend powder detergent. We've had better results getting rid of odors with powder. I also recommend using the extra water option.

i am finally able to wash a king size quilt and sheets in one wash. these new electronic washers take time to adjust to. i am used to seeing more water, so i add more w/water plus. not used to HE washing. at this time only thing i would like different is the 'song" when the wash is done - would be nice if it played a couple times or if one to adjust the volume. it's way deeper than my last large capacity washer - have trouble reaching the clothes flat on the bottom - but then i'm only 5'4".

Quiet, quick, efficient, with a deep drum, so deep my wife struggles to reach the bottom, but manages with a pair of household tongs. A wife over 5ft 1in tall is recommended.

I've owned this washer for about a month now and I love how clean it gets my clothes using a fraction of the water and detergent that my old washer used.Like many the switch from a washer with an agitator was hard.At first I was convinced that the he washer could not possibly get my laundry clean using so little water and detergent,I found myself using the extra rinse or water plus option just in case. They are great options, but not always needed. This washer does a good job of sensing a load and adding the correct amount of water. If you load it properly you won't have any balancing issues. For example you don't want to load a heavy towel with something light like a tee shirt. You can wash mixed loads, but it is better to wash heavy items with heavy items, and the more the better. My only knock is that it can get a little noisy during the spin cycle, but it is whisper quiet during the rest of the cycle.I love the numerous cycle options and the ability to wash large items like blankets and comforters.Once you get over having an agitator beat your laundry to death and the small amount of water it use, you will love this washer.

This is my 4th washing machine. It is a very "pretty" washer. It is European Style. The controls are all in the front so there's no struggle to reach the buttons. The lid is glass so I can see what's happening without opening the machine. It shows me how long the cycle will take & has a running time that shows how much time is left. It has a huge tub!!! It is amazingly quiet. It has a very pleasant chime when the cycle is done. The clothes come out dry but not wrinkled. The best machine I have ever owned. I love that it is top loading. It doesn't need any extra maintenance to reduce smells. Everyone should have one of these. I love it!!!!

Love, Love, love the capacity of this dryer. No more having to take my Cal King comforter to the dry cleaners or laundry mat with bigger machines. It fits perfectly in there and does an amazing job of washing it. I only have to do two loads of laundry thanks to this lovely machine.

Replaced a 5-6 year old Maytag large capacity agitator model. This washer can wash 2x as many clothes in each load and cleans well. As others have mentioned, retrieving clothes in the bottom of the washer for shorter people, you'll likely need a step stool. Great washer! Also, we purchased matching dryer. Now our wash and dry cycles take half the time of our previous washer/dryer combo.

My wife chose this for its large capacity. The tub on this thing is deep. I am 6'0" tall. and reaching the bottom of the tub can be difficult. Shorter people may need a step stool or opt for the smaller capacity version with the shallower tub. This was a new model, so we actually had to wait about two months for it to come in. Delivery and set up service was excellent.

Overall the Washer is great. Really does the job. Easy to operate. Controls on the front edge of the machine are an added bonus. No more reaching over the load area to select the settings. Only draw back is my wife is 5'2" and it's hard for her to reach the bottom of the load area.

Wow...I love doing laundry with this new set. It has many options and I didn't think I would use most of them, but after owning this product for 4 months I have used 90% of the features. They are all great. The washer balances the load so you don't have a washer walking out of your laundry room. Recommend this product to all you are looking to replace their front load washer.

I purchased the WT1701CW Top Load Washer from an authorized dealer in December 2014, and it was installed Jan 2015 with the completion of my new house. I moved in my new house in March and the washer has begun to have problem every since. The problems are: 1. The rinse in normal cycle is literally 45 seconds long with very little water sprayed on clothes; 2. the washer will stop randomly during the cycle for no reason; 3. The most critical problem is that the washer leaves detergent marks on all clothes, regardless of what detergent I used, how much detergent I used, or what cycle I chose. Once the detergent marks are left on clothes, they are nearly impossible to remove unless extensively hand washed. The detergent residues left on the clothes have caused allergy to my family member, especially to my pregnant wife. This is a tremendous health hazard, so we have no choice but hand wash our clothes even since. Given these aforementioned problems, I have contacted LG's authorized service multiple times, and they have sent service person 7 times to come in trying to repair this machine. Firstly, they replaced the top control board. Nothing was improved. Then, they came in to replace the bottom control board, however, the service person found out that the part came in was incorrect. Then, he went back and request new part to be shipped. Three weeks later, two new boards came in and they were exactly identical as the incorrect one that was sent three week ago. When the service person opened the circuit board case to take a picture of the original bottom control board, he found out that the board in the machine was incorrect as well! There was a multipin socket that has nothing connect to it. Therefore, it turns out that the machine came out of the factory with an incorrect bottom control board in the first place, and the LG service department has no idea how to repair it (given the fact that they sent three incorrect bottom control board). This makes me believe that the LG WT1701CW model I have has essential design problems that LG is incapable of addressing. Additional complaints about the customer service: the customer service of LG is such a pain that dealing with them is time consuming and inefficient. Every time I called, the customer service representative was trying to educate me how to operate the washer correctly, use the right detergent in right amount, even though I have told him/her multiple times that I have literally tried everything possible. Three months have passed since the first time LG started to repair the washer, and I still don't know when this is going to end. I bought what supposed to be high end washer, but end up having to hand wash all my clothes for months. So far, LG has sent technicians from three different tech service store, and they are trying to send a fourth. The LG tech support consistently evaluate the machine to be functioning as supposed to, while the machine constantly leaves detergent marks on the clothes. The LG executive customer service basically told me that they will continue to send tech service but will not replace the unit unless THEIR tech support determine this machine is not repairable.

Love this washer! With the huge capacity sometimes I just do all my laundry in one load. It is quiet and does it's job. With a lot of settings to select from, you get to not only save on water but laundry time too! It is smart to know how much water is needed on your laundry. The only thing they need to improve on is to make the music after the end of cycle loud enough to be heard across the room. Since the washer is quiet, I am not able to tell if it's done.

I like that this washer can accommodate a very large load. I can just do one load instead of few loads. I have only tried the normal cycle and bulky load so far so far it's good. It have a load sensing and have not have an error yet. I love my washer so far.

Can't tell you how much better this is than front loader. This machine cleans better than any front loader on the market. It also doesn't shake all over the laundry room like our old one did. The stories about how it doesn't clean as good as others are mainly because you are not loading it right. You have to make sure you leave an opening in the middle and it will clean just fine. The other nice thing is that you can clean all your bedding at once and not in stages.
