Switched to LG because LG rated #1. Huge Disappointment for such a cost. How are these rated so high??? Received twice - original new & replacement dryer. Gave replacement dryer a longer shot but does not dry. This 4000 model dryer does not dry! Forget using delicate cycle - does not dry. Load is not slightly damp - it is totally WET!! Have to reset cycle at least 5 times on any cycle even on sensor - no less than 2.5 - 3 hours to dry, even less than full load! Isn’t that the point of sensor?? My old broken dryer only took 45 min for full load to fully dry! Now I have to be on standby (who has time for that???) otherwise clothes stay wet & smell. Wish I could have my old dryer back!!! They make these to break at 10 years on purpose! But you cannot replace with like kind. My Mom’s is literally 50 years old and still runs, & dries better than this!! Was not expecting same but did expect more reliability for a much needed & costly appliance. New & improved does not mean work adequately!!!! Wish we consumers could demand actual working displays in showroom to test run before the hassle of two deliveries, lost weeks without ability to dry clothes and now stuck with much longer use times. Expected better!

The dryer-DLEX4000 LG-white- is two years old. The white paint around the opening is all peeling off. It was suggested that for $30.00’s I can purchase from LG a touch up paint…that I can apply myself. I think this is a cheap product and do NOT. Recommend buying.

Bought this dryer for all the frills and technology it boasts. Upon connecting and drying a wet load, the dryer keeps stopping with a flow sense error indicating clogged duct. Got professionals to clean the whole dryer exhaust duct work. Still the flow sense error persists. Removed the exhaust from the dryer and ran the cycle. Still gives a flow sense error. Went online to see what others have experienced and lo and behold hundreds of users have experienced the same issue. Bad design with an overly sensitive/malfunctioning sensor. First time buying an LG appliance. Will be the last.

Bought this dryer because it was the latest version of our previous dryer which worked great for 8 years. This new dryer works fine and I wouldn't even be here were it not for the overly sensitive flow sensor. When the flow sensor detects an 80 or 90% blockage in the exhaust pathway, the dryer simply stops working. This is great except this dryer seems to have a very loose definition of 80%. The dryer exhaust for our home vents at the roof (a moronic design imo). I cleaned the dryer exhaust pathway all the way to the roof the week of purchase because the display kept reading d90. Now, 3 months later, the d80 sensor alert came on again. So, I cleaned the exhaust pathway, finding nothing. I re-ran the dryer and again the d80 sensor came on. Ugh... I would avoid this dryer.

Doesn't dry as well as our old Samsung dryer. Selection panel is hard to read. Have to reset settings every time it's used. Crew that installed it did attached the back exhaust pipe. Called to find when someone could come and fix it and was told 3 weeks. Did it myself.

terrible machine - even worse customer service from LG - DO NOT buy - its doesn't dry and turns off half way through - has error codes - when talking to LG (best buy send to them direct) they are useless and try and make you pay to get it services/cleaned

The "CLEAN FILTER" indicator is designed as a reminder to check the lint filter before each use. To address this, please try removing the filter, opening it, cleaning it thoroughly, and then reinserting it securely in place. After reinserting, press the START/PAUSE button to begin the dry cycle.

I do not recommend this dryer I had high hopes due to all the good reviews. After each load lint is stuck which requires it being picked out by hand. Also the dryer time can’t be easily customized outside what comes as standard drying time. I would have thought a dryer for this much money would be much better.

Almost year of use, but airflow sensor shows d90 or d80. Cleaned everything machine and house vents, nothing works. A big piece of junk at the house for 1000$. LG should concentrate on making last long products, instead high technology failures. Before you buy, don’t get excited about the high technology advances, make sure the dryer last longer, and reliable.

After receiving my dryer and only uses it several times to receive an error Code D80 come one almost 15 times.. I only had it for 3 weeks and they said they can’t replace the dryer that they will send someone out to look at and have it fixed..

Loved my washer and dryer when I first got it. Did not realize it would require repair so soon after the warranty expired. Not only that but the repair costs are roughly half of what I paid for units when brand new AND the servicer still could not resolve the problem (roller/tumbling issue). On the surface, I like the options on both units. The dryer in particular has a very handy anti-bacterial setting and a steam clean setting, which I use somewhat regularly. It is clearly designed for maximum efficiency. The lint tray is easy to access and the filter is easy to clean - however cleaning the tray (where the filter sits) is a major challenge. Unless you have the right equipment or very small hands, cleaning the tray is a major chore. As with most dryers, the lint tray must be cleaned regularly. With this dryer in particular, you cannot afford to let ANY lint build. Not only does it impact performance, but the machine is designed to give you error messages if the air flow is constricted. Problem is you don't know where the contriction is since it can be any point between the lint screen inside the dryer to the vent outside of the house (in other words - a fire hazard). I'm moving on to another brand with my next purchase.

It takes 2-3 extra drying cycles to dry as some are still damp, maybe the drying sensor is not working correctly. Definitely wasting my electricity.
