Q: can i use this dryer without a water hookup if i don't want to use the steam functions?

A: Is your vent hose twisted at all between the dryer and the wall? We had the same problem. I had to convince the installer to shorten the hose and install it directly so it was straight on with no twists. Since then, 6 months, no “vent blocked” codes and all runs beautifully, fully dried loads.
A: It did not come with mine. There were 3 additional hoses, vents, etc. that were required. Good thing about Best Buy is they automatically add it to your cart so you have exactly what you need so you don’t buy the wrong hookups. The 3 additional hose, etc. cost approx. $100. This is the steam hookup. Smart Choice - Steam Dryer Installation Kit - Stainless steel Model:5304495002 SKU:3762114 But again, if you add the dryer to your cart you should see the additional parts added so there is no guess work! Excellent, efficient dryer
We've had this dryer for the last 3 months, and my wife tells me on average twoce a week that she loves it! So many settings that ensures effective and efficient drying of clothes, towels, bedding, etc.

Superior machine
This is arguably the best washer and dryer we’ve ever owned, this machine right here is superior to Samsung, it’s very quiet and you barely can hear any noise. Well done LG.
