Q: How does the steam function work? Do you need a water hookup to the dryer?
A: For this model, the dryer does need to be hooked up to a water line - there's a "Y" hose included so you can tee off the line for the washing machine. The function works by spraying steam into the dryer from a port on the back of the dryer. It seems to help with wrinkles and static the most.

A: Yes. I have done this.
A: Yes the Y connector and hose came with the unit. Unfortunately for me the installer skipped that step and plugged it in and left. Best Buy did correct it by setting up another install date, but the inconvenience was there and annoyed that they would omit that step. Don't let the installer leave without checking first. It was pure laziness and when parts come with the unit you would expect them to be installed.

Beautiful upgrade of a Dryer
This LG dryer is the best thing I could’ve purchased. It works excellent and I love all the wonderful features It comes with and I love that It is big enough to dry all my queen warm blankets. If you’re thinking about purchasing this dryer, don’t hesitate I promise you you won’t regret it. It’s a very nice dryer.

LG Gas Dryer
I must say this has been 1 of the besttt!! Purchases I have made!!! They are beyond awesome and super smart with so many functions all in one!! The color is beautiful goes with everything in our home!! It knows what your washing and prepares dryer for clothes to dry!! This was literally a lifesaver as it is smart and lets you know when anything is wrong and it let us know our exhaust system in our new apartment needed cleaning and we thank that function for saving us and our home from a fire or hazard!! Must have appliances for life!! Thanks Bestbuy for our purchase you guys rock!!!! Highly recommend!!!

Great Dryer!
We bought a washer & gas dryer as a pair in 2022 and we have been very pleased with both. I like that the dryer has enough settings to handle all of our needs, but is pretty intuitive. My favorite setting is “Towels” - which I thought was silly when we first looked at this machine, but it’s truly perfect. Towels come out fluffy and dry, not cooked to a crisp or damp like our old dryer. The dryer is generally faster than the washer, which gives you time to get a load out and folded before the next load is ready to move. We bought the drawer to raise up the dryer, which I do recommend if you’re taller. Limits the stooping needed when transferring wet clothes from the washer.
