It is easy to use, and it dries most items well. The top surface scratched easily when I moved a plastic hamper across, so I suggest you get a protective mat (see photo). It is not made as solidly as my previous (old) Dryer, so I find myself closing the door gently. I used to slam my old dryer door. I have used the steam option twice, and I am pleased with the result.

This dryer really catches your eye. Its cool design fits great in my laundry space, and the built-in smarts make things even easier. The steam feature is awesome for keeping clothes smooth. It can handle big loads effortlessly because it's got plenty of space. If you want a good mix of style and smart features in a dryer, this one's a solid choice. Definitely recommend buying it!

It’s big than the older one we had. I like the AI it has it helps with the timing of the dry time it cools the clothes down before it’s ready.

I’m only giving it 4 stars because it’s still a fairly new purchase, and I’m still waiting on delivery on the matching pedestal to finish the complete installation; and with everything fully connected. But so far so good… No complaints and it’s working as intended. But time will tell how it holds up over time. I’m satisfied so far…

Love this! The depth is perfect for our laundry room in a 1980’s home. Works great. Quiet

This machine does a great job. It runs efficiently and pretty quiet compared to my last machine.

This is a fantastic dryer for the value. My only complaint is there is no way to turn the internal light off and on.

Solid dryer. Quiet and efficient. Cant beat it for the price of front loaders these days.

First I want to say my rating would actually be 4.5 if that was an option, simply because I was hoping for a "My Cycle" setting because I do 99% of my laundry on the same setting. My husband has brand loyalty and we had Samsung washer/dryers for the last 10 years. They worked great, but both washers had to be replaced around 5 years. I put my foot down since I do the laundry and said we were getting a different brand. I did a bunch of research and ultimately it came down to the LG set and the GE Profile set. After looking at a bunch of reviews I decided the soap dispensing option seemed gimmicky with the GE and while the vent option seemed great, the GE matching dryer is what made me decide to go with this LG set. The GE dryer had too many negative reviews. I've only had the set for 3 days, but I was a week behind on laundry for a family of 4 so I've done 10 loads in the 3 days. So far, and hopefully it will remain this way, everything has been great. I use the same setting for everything, except bedding. Normal is my go to. The LG takes about 30 min less time than my Samsung. My Samsung on the same settings took 75 min for a load of laundry, while the LG takes about 40 and they come out just as clean. I need to experiment with the settings more once I'm caught up on laundry, but the normal mode works great (I adjust the settings a bit with temp, spin, soil level). It's super quiet, so for the people saying it's really loud and knocks stuff off their walls... I just have to say - learn how to level a washer. My Samsung would sound like an airplane when it was spinning fast, this one you can hear in the next room, but my laundry room is on a different level and I can't hear it at all. For the people saying there isn't enough water because their 10+ year old washer filled it up... yeah the older models waste water. These ones put the actual amount of water you need in the tub, your clothes are still getting clean. Ok, now for the dryer. The dryer was the deciding factor for me with the GE and LG sets. The GE had too many different negative issues, while the LG seemed like people were complaining about the same things. First, I want to address the people saying their clothes are coming out wet when the dryer says they're done. Don't use the sensor dry on any dryer. It doesn't work. I've had the option for so long on different models and all it does is get your clothes hot and it thinks it's dry. Time dry setting is all you need. I set my temp to medium and because I do larger loads and a lower heat, it does take about 75 min to dry, but that's what my Samsung did too so that's ok with me. I might fiddle with the sensor dry to see if it actually works on this one, but because I'm behind I don't have time right now to try that out. For the other people complaining that lint is flying in their face, I haven't had this happen at all. The lint trap is actually really nice, the lint comes out super easy. My Samsung had one that had to fold open and we had to replace it a few times because it would crack/break from simply opening it to remove the lint. After reading all the reviews I'm sure there are some defective dryers causing the issues, but I think a lot of them are user error. It also seems like the older generation is comparing apples to oranges and wants their new dryers to act like their 15 year old ones. If that's the case and you want an old school washer/dryer with an agitator that uses way too much water, then shop for that and don't buy something like this just to complain that it's different. I'll update if things go awry.

Overall its a great washer and dryer. I dont have any real complaints so far. Efficient, easy to use. Its quiet. Havent used ALL the features and fucntions just yet but what i have used is great. If you read the instructions/manuals carefully and thoroughly, easy to install and you wont mess up your clothes. Remember to use any appliance the way it was meant to be used, and it will do what you want it to. I will say the max load size is probably more like semi fluffy queen comforter, not a king. If you dont think you’ll need the “smart” features then you dont. You can probably save some money or go with something bigger but more basic and still pay about the same. Get the bottom drawers if you can, they just make sense for this set in terms of both functionality and aesthetic.

The machine works well, but learning how to make all the selections isn't easy because the front panel uses small print that is difficult to read. It's overkill on all the selections. I need to take a class on Drying 101 to become proficient on the options.

Quiet; dries items well--which is VERY cycle dependent. NOT ALL cycles can be individualized...for example, if one wishes to dry permanent press items on LOW heat INSTEAD of the programmed MEDIUM heat, one CANNOT do so on the permanent press cycle; one must use timed dry to select low heat OR use delicate. If once chooses delicate then the time is quite right so one really must go to Timed Dry. I stated with the WASHER review that there was NO "Complete owner's manual" included with the data provided in the sealed plastic envelope inside the dryer drum. The Owner's Manual Dryer was there BUT the owner is directed to the website to obtain the 'complete' manual. I believe this is a poor decision on LG's part. LG is presuming that everyone who buys this product has CONSISTENT and RELIABLE internet service ALL the time.

Great dryer, Best Buy in store team is the best this dryer arrived with some cosmetic issues, and since I didn’t see the issues right away because we waited for installation, neither lg or customer services over the phone wanted to help me at this time I had the dryer less than a month. I went into the store to complain and they discounted the damage and that was enough for me it only took 15 mins which was a lot more than their phone customer service.

Love the fact that I know have a dryer that dries in less time. An additional plus is the fact that my cell phone alerts me to when the drying is done since I'm in the habit of having my laundry door closed and can't hear the chime. Another plus, I really don't have to keep that door closed since the dryer makes very little noise. One small downside is that the light in the dryer does not turn on when you open the door. If you do not unload the dryer when it chimes, the light turns off after a couple of minutes and there is no way to turn it back on (that I can find). I have had this dryer for a month and that is the only downfall I have encountered.

This dryer works well, but its not perfect. I find myself adding more time and bypassing the suggested ai drying feature after the wash cycle from the matching washing machine. If I let the machine auto select the dry cycle things are still damp and I have to add a little more time and also make it a little hotter. Im sure its an energy saving feature, but I prefer the clothes to be fully dry. With all that being said though, the machine is beautiful and I like the app and many of the dryer features.

Owned for a just about 15 months, no problems to date. I'm less enthusiastic about the "smart" features and more often use a manual setting where I can set both time and temperature. "Normal" uses a higher heat level than what I prefer. The water supply for steam is hooked up but I'll probably never use it. If the same dryer was sold without the steam option it would be the better choice. When the cycle is over the light only stays on for a very short period of time. An on/off switch for the light would be a great improvement. Performance is good and capacity is very large so this dryer is still a good choice.

I haven't had this very long but so far, so good. Purchased for an apartment; only minor issue is that because of the vent hose placement it sits a little further out from the wall than I wanted, but it dries clothes quickly and is relatively quiet. Seems to be a good machine for the price.

It’s a good dryer. Smaller then the one we had. The WiFi is nice but a little odd. You have to turn the dryer on to use any features. You get used to it but should just always be on. Steam function works great with only a few items.

In simple words, I love this dryer! It has a lot of versatile features. Keeping track of what's happening with the ThinQ app is great and works flawlessly. The only thing that has been a problem is with a small load of mostly synthetic materials some of them come out still damp at the end of a sensor cycle. 5-10 minutes done on a manual cycle usually gets those few things dry. One little bit of advice on placement - the washer door opens to the left, the dryer door to the right (but can be switched). If possible, place the dryer to the right of the washer for easy transfer of your load. Also, to get the steam functions, make sure you order the steam kit. I had to order and install that myself afterwards.

We love this dryer, however, are cloths come out pretty damp when we use the steam setting. Perhaps we just need to figure out how to use it properly? I thought I wanted all the bonus features of this dryer, but I've found I really don't use them. We are pretty simple with our laundry needs.
