I tried many things to improve the audio quality in games like Call of Duty Warzone and I failed, PC or PS5 the game sound is muddy and makes the enemy footsteps hard to hear them. The headset volume is also kinda low, but it improved a lot with earpads from Wicked cushion, also it added a nice look to my headset matching the red accents, it turned the sound way too boomy so I tried the EQ recommended settings but they didn’t help, I also went further and tried specific EQ for Warzone using the improved earpads to no avail. Funny thing my music wireless headphones makes sniper shots from BF6 sound realistic with full body, here the Astros are disappointing tiny, and adding the EQ settings for FPS games is even worse. So sound quality it totally failed to me, the best thing about this headset is the microphone quality, they got that right with clear voice and also reducing background noise without affecting the voice fullness. But the new A50 feels a step backwards from my older A40 TR, I can’t remove the mic or much less change mic sides, I can’t snap the caps out to make them semi open, the volume control is in a position where I accidentally touch the wheel control when grabbing the headset, it’s frustrating and makes having to readjust my volume an inconvenience. The bluetooth function is tethered to the base, so forget about using it with other devices on the go since you need to carry the base and it needs a power outlet. The multi connection works pretty well I was able to switch between PC and PS5 with no issue, this is the main selling point for this headset and I preferred the USB port connection for the devices rather than the HDMI from the X version, but it comes with only one USB cable for connecting the devices, this is an expensive headset at least it should bring the other 2 cables for connecting multiple devices as advertised. Ultimately these features are downed by the ok sound quality, it’s not good value, you can get better sound quality elsewhere and being unable to hear footsteps properly is a no in my book. Maybe you’re just interested in connecting multiple devices with good wireless connectivity and great mic but a headset should sound as a good as the price range is being set for.

My only reason for the three stars is price and these arent even the X model. These are for sure nicely built, audio quality, the microflphone steals the show, materials are nice, up to mute mic is great, docking station is ok (tricky but works?), multi media connection is amazing and loved that feature, ear pads were breathable and fit snug around my ears. The thing has its nice positives, however, like most common gamers/everything else, we look for the best deal for the features we need. Here's why i vouldnt keep them: The head band is too thin. Very unconfortable for long sessions (30 minutes even), adjusting them were tricky bc the number marks are very dark and hard to tell plus one side was a bit looser to adjust that the other, LG command center didnt even work or connect for me so used GHub which was kind of limited regarding EQ. If these were in the 250 price range, it would be reasonable and I'd just waitnfor any sales on it. I went with another brand but I'll just say it was a "series" of features that made it easy for me to switch. Price, a ton of EQ setting features, product support, style looks like regular headset so i can use them anywhere.

The good... the headset is very comfortable and lightweight. Sound quality is crisp and clean with great immersion. The bad... the headset can run a little small. I have a larger head, so I had to adjust to the largest size for a proper seal around my ears. If you are a basshead, like me, you will find the headset lacking sub bass that, honestly, cheaper alternatives offer. (Unless you get some wicked cushions or leather ear cups) The biggest drawback for this headset, for me, was that you have to spend a ton of time getting it to sound great. Out of the box sound is a little to be desired. I ended up swapping these for steelseries pros

I bought this and returned it. The A50 is just too heavy in comparisson to my much lighter and more comfortable G733. The microphone on the A50 is very good and people in discord said I sounded much better than the G733, so when I returned it I set up my other mic. This headset has a good battery and comfortable ear cushions. It did have some wonky sound settings and messed with discord by lowering some poeple a lot but not others. Just wasn't a fan. Ultimately it was also just too heavy and I enjoy the lighter aspect of the G733.

This is me being picky on things. The setup was easy and the features are good. I love the mount stuff. They are very soft. Comfort was really good. The reason for the average rating, I compared to a cheap pair of HyperX headphones. Both wireless. the A50 beat out the HyperX on comfort but I was expecting more out of the sound. Granted I didn't physically mess with the settings, I just went with the preset. There was not static in the sound, do disconnect issues so far. I don't usually play my games blaring, so I get that. I just expected a little more oomph from the A50 due to the price tag. If you have money to burn, then yeah, but realistically if you think you're going to get this massive sound upgrade you may or may not be disappointed.

I must admit that I'm impressed with the sound quality. Even my buddies say I sound much clearer. The wireless distance is also impressive. My biggest issue is that all the cushioning is very cheap and can't even support the headsets right. The to if my head starts hurting fairly quickly since the cushion is totally flattened resulting in no support. This then causes my ears to hurt since they're picking up the weight. My true rating is 3.5 stars. At this price I expect comfort.

I've been using the A50s on PC since gen 2. Somehow the audio quality is worse compared to the gen 4 A50s. The battery life also doesn't last as long as my gen 4s did. The only things I think this generation did better are: 1. Making the microphone way better (seriously, gen 4s microphone was bad) 2. Switching to USB C for charging

- Brief description of the issue:
I have used Astro A50 since the Gen3 came out back 2016 it lasted me up untill this year when the battey finally gave out on it. I had decided to buy this one since I enjoyed the Gen3 so much. When I bought this device I had no issues for the first month, then the microphone stopped staying where I put it and started falling down to below my face. After a month of this issue it then statted to free spin around in a 360 radius. After this the microphone fell out of the headset and was holding on by a wire. I superguled the mic back on and now it just goes below the face. Its usable and the headset sounds good and the mic does too but after having the quality of the gen3 which never gave me an issue to having to superglue the headset within 3 months of owning it is annoying.

Switched from A40 mix amp to these a few weeks ago for cable management purposes. Connectivity is super seamless and easy however I find the audio to be less customizable than the lower end spectrum A40s. This might be due to the ability to customize your headset via the MixAmp but overall they are good for casual gaming such as doom, Minecraft, or Elden ring. I would not recommend for individuals who are looking to hear precise footsteps in games such as Call of Duty or rainbow six siege.

Everything about the headset is mostly great. It connects all consoles and pc well but the Bluetooth audio is actually garbage. It will be choppy constantly without a fix or update available. It is very comfortable but the mic is very senesitive even after adjustments.
