Headset works awesome. Connects to my laptop as soon as i turn it on. Speaker quality is awesome. I can hear everything at lower volumes. My old headsets id have to have the sound a lot louder to be able to hear them. Charge time is fast too, about 2 hours when completely dead. Only thing ive had a problem with is the buttons are on the back, i accidentally switch different devices and disconnect.

Great in comfort, sound, and convenience! Only thing that is noticeably better on A50x is the chat mix feature available for console (not available on the A50 gen 5 with console).

I had my eye on these for a few years but the price point kept me from committing. I saw they were on sale at the same time I happened to be in dire need of a new headset so it seemed fate finally brought us together. It's great! The mic and sound quality as well as the build all meet or exceed expectations. And the neat charging base gives them a higher end vibe but also ensures they will be fully charged after every use. The only con imo is their price point. These are definitely pricey and probably aren't really for the casual gamer demographic. But if you're really in the market for a high quality wireless headset and have the funds to purchase at this price point then I would definitely recommend as it is truly the best headset i've owned.

Astro/Logitech are the premium when it comes to Gaming Peripherals. Though I will say the default audio is a bit lacking but can easily be fixed with downloading GHUB on a Laptop/PC and changing the audio settings. Otherwise comfortability and the built in mic are amazing. For someone who wears glasses these fit perfectly and comfortable. The only con I would say is the charging station can still be a bit tricky to set. These is a known Astro A50 issue that they haven’t fixed. The other option is to plug in a type C cable. You can charge and play at the same time.

I recently got the A50 Gen 5, and overall I’m really impressed: the PLAYSYNC Audio is a game-changer — I can switch seamlessly between my Xbox, PC, and Switch with just one button, which is super convenient. The PRO-G Graphene drivers deliver crisp, detailed sound, and the 24-bit LIGHTSPEED wireless connection feels clean and lag-free. I also like the 24-hour battery life + the base station dock — it’s really practical to just drop it on the dock when I’m done. On the flip side, the comfort isn’t perfect: the clamp is a little tight and the headband pressed on my head more than I expected, which gave me a headache after long sessions. Some folks (including me) noticed the stock earpads leak sound and could have been better — I ended up wanting to upgrade them. Also, the Astro Command Center software isn’t super intuitive, and I ran into a couple of annoying firmware update issues where I had to reset the headset.

Love this sound quality is amazing only issue i have is charging it. It has to be in an exact position to charge and can be a pain, cant just put it on the dock and walk away. For the price you'd think it would be easy. But other than that it sounds great soft ears it is not noise canceling

So to preface i love this headset, this headset has by far onw of the best sound mics me or my friends have heard from a headset, and the fact you have three usb c port on the base charging station, that lets you plug in three different consoles and then wirelsessly use youre headset, is a god send, as someone with a pc, xbox, and ps5 having the ability to hop on discord, on any console while i play the game i want and still be able to chat to my friends without a loss in mic quality is awesome, now the reason i rated it 4/5 is because it loses a point in sound, granted everyones hearing is differant and in terms of music i love this tuning for edm, the headset is the bassiest headset i own, the problem is in games like clair obsure where fights have important audio cues to parry well, these did not preform well, and took me 3 hrs of playing in the eq app to finally get a passable good eq, so be warned if high quality, full range audio is a deal breaker and mic quality is not important go audeze maxwell or steelseries nova pro, but for the purpose of crossplatform gaming i have yet to find a better headset tbh,

12Sep2025 Pros: Best wireless headset I could find for the price. The mic quality is good, the audio is good, the price is better since the removal of the HDMI. Range is good, better than I expected. Cons: The mic can only be used on the left side, the range of motion doesn't allow it to come down in both directions. Coming from a pair of Sennheisers, I'm not overly impressed with the A50 batteries, and I expect them to be tricky to change out when the time comes. Also, the dock requires the headset always be placed in the same orientation, not sure why they couldn't make it reversible. Clamping force of the headset is a bit firm, with no way to adjust, but I expect it to loosen up after a few weeks.

I don’t have 5 Star because when you change the connection pc > console works perfectly great, so when you try to do reverse, you need to return the headset to charge base for change console > pc, if you change sometimes, this is bad…. But, this is one 1 thing that I see difficulties, but this headset is very cool, great construction, the sound is amazing and the microphone is insane good!

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback! We're glad to hear that you're enjoying the sound quality and microphone performance. I bought these as a replacement for my Astro 50 Gen 4 headset. So far these are as good as the Astro's but the difference is you have to use the Logitech G-Hub and not the Astro command center. The use of USB-C is a major plus over the micro USB found on the Astro's but having to use the adaptor to plug the base into the wall compared to using only one Micro USB cable on the Astro base is a slight pain but given the Logitech can be used across all platforms from PC to Nintendo Switch with Xbox and Playstation is understandable. The only other slight annoyance I have with the logitech over the Astro is when you place the Logitech headset down they don't go to sleep unlike the Astro's where after a few seconds of being placed down they go to sleep. Overall if you're looking for a good headset and don't mind the steep price these are the way to go but wait till they go on sale to buy. There is the Logitech A50x but to me isn't worth the extra $100 just for the HDMI through put, these are the same without the HDMI through put.

I liked this headset but ended up returning it. Not because it's a bad headset but because of the value of it. I got it for $250 and the fact that you have to finagle with it to get it to sit on the dock perfectly freaking sucks. Yes you can use a USB C cable to charge but why would I do that if I can slap it on a dock. Also battery life on this thing is terrible 20 hours? Yea I don't do long gaming sessions but 20 hours means I'll have to pretty much have it charging after each use. I went with the G522 they both sound exactly the same but the g522 has a 70 -90 hour battery life same mic for $150. Can't beat that. I will say the fit on the Astros is fantastic very comfortable

Thank you for sharing your candid experience with the A50 headset. Your comparison with the G522 and comments on battery life and docking provide valuable perspective on balancing comfort with practicality.

Pros: Great audio quality and ability to customize the sound through the Logitech mobile app. The ability to charge the headset on the stand ensures you'll never run out of battery in a gaming session. Cons: The setup instructions could be better. I had to look up a YouTube video to make sure I did it correctly. I would also say that it was a bit annoying that the headset doesn't have separate volume controls for the Bluetooth and console connections. It would also help to have a better illustration of what the buttons do (e.g., I didn't know how to mute - done by moving the mic bar up).

I switch from Corsair headset because i was tired of the constant connection issues, software issues and unable to voice chat. I must say i love these headsets the sound is amazing voice chat is clear, but however the software is horrible. Logitech doesn't explain what software you can use they tell you to use Dolby digital or G-hub. G-Hub constantly crashes when you try to install it but when you look in your notification panel its installed. I thought i got away from these issues only to go thru it again. All the money you pay for these headsets you would thing the software would be on point.

Thanks for the detailed and honest review! It’s great to hear the A50 LIGHTSPEED headset is delivering on sound quality and voice clarity—those are huge wins. But you're absolutely right to expect better from the software side, especially at this price point. G HUB has been a common pain point for some users, with installation hiccups and stability issues

A little bit heavy but good quality, I can’t say I hear nay better than my old Steel series Artic Novas but the mic quality for console is easily 10x better the noise suppression is also top notch and the app was easy to use in my opinion just install on your phone and Bluetooth one time it saves it after that. I use my headset mainly for siege x formally rainbow 6 siege and I’ve been diamond and champ MMR with no issues yet with my current Astro A5 5th gen.
