As of this writing December 13 my order of 2 Oculus Quest VR headsets is two weeks ago. The items were listed available when I placed the order. They have listed as shipped November 30. But they were not shipped. Tracking clearly says USPS doesn't have the package. I am a victim of a scam by Best Buy that won't allow a refund as long as they list items as shipped. I have a case number that was my attempt to cancel the order. But it isn't cancelled. I'm now paying a credit card bill of $900 for merchandise I may never get to avoid damaging my credit. Recommend verifying irrefutably anything you intend to order and ship before completing an online purchase with Best Buy. Of course the Oculus Quest 2 is probably great fun. But I won't know that before Christmas or maybe ever as far as I can tell.

The quality of the physical product seems great, but the app you need to use the product is terrible. Support for the product is even worse. I’ll own this for less than 24 hours. Picked it up at 7pm. I’ll be first in line at Best Buy at the store in the morning to return it. Found all the bad reviews for trying to get logged in while searching for a solution. Tech support did the typical delete and reinstall the app - and then gave up. It literally spins the wheel of login death for as long as you’ll keep the app open…

Had it less than two months and three yellow dots were on the screen that wouldn’t go away. Kept it stored in my room on an open shelf. Never dropped. Very well taken care of.

Purchased and kept it unopened for 2 years and decided to open it finally. After turning it on and following instructions had to update, didn't realize power was low so I plugged in charger and after 3 hours nothing happened. I did the reboot and it said downloading and still didn't complete and turned off. Now there is no power or any light for charging or powering on, tried several things and completely dead.

This is actually the worst headset I've owned. I've tried original oculus and rift s and I have owned a psvr for some time, here's why this is gets 1 star: -Poor choice of materials that come in direct contact with your face with no suitable first party replacements. - poor head strap and replacing the headstrap with the better one available is nerve wracking and could have been designed better. -Good screen, almost. The screen is clear, but theres still alot of glare with any bright white text, this is... passable. -good controllers, no complaints here -decent battery, but for some reason the headset would come on its own so even if I left it with 90% it would be dead by the end of the day. -decent game and apps library, if you've never been apart of the vr ecosystem you may be impressed, however as a psvr owner, I have most of the good games already and theres far more interesting games on psvr with the exception of supernatural, which is great! But it doesn't make a 400$ investment worth it. -absolutely awful is that this thing has to be tied to an active Facebook account, even if you can activate it without triggering a ban on your account ( which has apparently happened to more than a few already, your still stuck giving money to Facebook and your allowing them to essentially have cameras and microphones in your home so if you were scared of alexa, then be terrified of this. Originally it was my understanding that you wouldn't be forced to have a Facebook account as long as you had an ocules account for atleast the next 3 years. However thats not the case, apparently you have to merge accounts the moment you get a quest 2. So if you thought you might just wait and merge accounts to see if face books going to start shoving ads in your face you'll be disappointed, let's all just hope they don't start making it like actual Facebook.

Using this headset requires that you have and maintain a Facebook account. If you get banned from Facebook, even for reasons beyond your control or knowledge, or cancel your account then this headset will not work, and you loose any game purchases you have made in the Oculus store. If that sounds too crazy for you to believe me about, then do a little Google searching and find out for yourself. If you don't use your real name, Facebook will likely ban you for life - making this headset an expensive paperweight. If you are under 13, you are not supposed to have a Facebook account - so technically you should not be buying this for young children. Facebook does this so they can collect data on you and be sure it is you they are compiling the data about. This headset has external cameras and maps your playspace - it is uncertain, but Facebook may have access to those maps of the interior of your house. Facebook will track what games you play, how long you play them and even what you are looking at in the game. If you are OK with that, then by all means go get this headset, it is an excellent VR headset. Well worth 5 stars otherwise -- you just need to know what you are signing up for.

Just returned this. The experience reeks of spam, ads, and walled-garden shenanigans. This is not a customer-friendly product. * Requires a facebook account to use. * After spending an hour creating a burner Facebook account, and turning off all the default-opt-in garbage features and experience spying, I was never able to make SteamVR work in it. * Several errors from the headset and the machine about connectivity. This was probably intentional by meta, and I refuse to use the "mEtA sToRe" for obvious privacy and walled-garden related reasons. * This is a cheap android device that streams games to a headset. It gets warm in the front after a couple minutes. * To play real games, and not just soulless android garbage from the Meta store, You must have a gaming PC with windows, and their app running at all times, and even then, you still have issues. * Sometimes, stuff doesn't work right and throws errors. The wireless link is garbage and disconnects a lot. * As a glasses-wearer, the support is just not there. The edges of my glasses aren't proportional to their lenses, and I had color separation / rainbow effect on the peripherals of the headset. Look down, and it gets blurry and rainbow-ey. * The PID (Pupil distance) only has 3 settings - Probably Mark Zuckerberg's PID and +/- 10. If your personal PID isn't those, you will see blurryness, and the circles will not line-up. * Not the end of the world, but the art is flat, corporate, unrealistic, and narcissisticly serves Zuckerberg as a person. The default avatar is literally him, down to his awkwardly puffed out chest, and the overall art of the experience is soulless, baby-like, and is a constant reminder he's a tone-deaf designer who makes mediocure ad-ridden expriences you'd be better-served skipping. The menus are icon-based, and appear at weird places when you put the headset on, requiring adjustment each time. I'm going to spend my time and effort researching one of Valve or HTC's offerings that doesn't opt me into a flurry of unwanted contact and notifications.

the headset is a 4.5 star and I'm coming from a PSVR. no wires is AMAZING. BUT and a super big BUT is Facebook spying on you. YOU CAND USE IT UNLESS YOU HAVE A FACEBOOK ACCOUNT. It has cameras , a microphone , and WIFI. Facebook collects as much data about you to sell to anyone and use it to change you habits. The mic will pickup every sound you and around you and facebook will you that and sell that data. The camera will capture and everything it see , faces , finger prints , bills you left out ,how messy you house is, your kids faces , if your window is open cars outside etc. collect that data and sell it. etc. etc. etc. this is will its really good and cheaper then most , the data it will collect will be far greater the what they are selling it for. Its like having a Facebook data broker in your house recoding and 3d scanning your every time you use this headset. Read the terms and service.

It glitched so much that I had to reset it. I got motion sick with the worst headaches every time I got on, although the headset & lens were adjusted properly. It also made my vision a lot worst, so I sent it back. The prices of the games were ridiculous too.

After a few uses and then stored in its case for over a few months. Went to use it again, it would not charge or bootup (blinking Oculus logo). After doing research, it is a known issue and the Product Company (Meta) will not stand behind the known issue. They want to sell you an "Out of Warrany Program" for $169.00 to replace it. If I would have known this was a problem, I would have checked before the 12 months expired. I took care of the headset as instructed by keeping it stored in its case....its like brand new. I do not recommend this Oculus Quest 2 as it has a known issue and the manufacture will not stand behind it or fix it.

I do not recommend the quest 2 or the Pro. I have had to of them where the cobtrollers fail in less then 6 months. I had issues with them getting controller drift over time. Called metas support number to trouble shoot and had no luck. At the end they told because I no longer had the box they would not be able to replace controllers, and that I should just use my Best Buy total Tech. With the Pro I experience lots of controller disconnect issues, and system crashes that I experience constantly. I also get the games freezing and slow spin in the middle of the games. Its to the point that I dont play it anymore, because of the issues.

Horrible product, awful support, DO NOT BUY. There are such better VR products there that do not involve having to deal with Meta or their poorly built hardware. This product is buggy, the web portal for managing it is poor, and you literally cannot talk to anyone but chat bots when trying to get something resolved with the flaky hardware. I will never do business with Meta or their cheaply built products again. Big mistake buying this thing. I'd give fewer stars if I could but 1 is the minimum.

Disappointed with this product, as it has developed "sun spots" just from normal exposure indoors. Product should come with a warning label to call attention to how sensitive the headset is to light. We are new to using this type of device and we are frustrated that the in-store sales people did not share this issue, which we now see online is a very common problem with this product.
