I haven't played The Show in 10 years, took some time to get acquainted with, especially hitting. There are tons of settings to tweak the UI, camera, presentation etc. I've had this since launce and there are still online issues daily. San Diego studios has fixed several bugs though, thankfully. Lastly, the steelbook is very nice and as a baseball fan, glad I have it.

I like it, my return to the game without actually being out there. I had forgotten how great this game is now i can't put it down.

You need the disc for the ps5 digital edition. I would have rather just bought a regular ps5 disc version if I knew it was like this. Kind of defeats the the purpose of the download code.

Sony comes through again with another quality baseball game. It has all of the modes you would expect and the great RTTS and Diamond Dynasty continue to show why this is one of the best sports series available. The only real negative here has been the server stability over the first month, with countless crashes and server maintenance downtime. But that seems to be fixed now.

Great game. I like the mix of current players and selection of Hall of Famers and historical players. I normally will play more Franchise but find myself playing more Diamond Dynasty. Downside is that server maintenance by the developer is badly timed can be worked around because it is happens daily at a predictable (but poorly timed) schedule. Franchise fortunately does not need to rely on the server being down since it is individual play and does not require connection to the internet. As a baseball fan, he variability of gameplay outweighs these issues making this a challenging fun game

We have been buying The Show first day since the Puig version (2015 I think). There are some new control setups and the interface has been modified slightly cosmetically. If you have played this game before you know what you are getting into. I think character models have improved slightly and game seems to respond a bit snappier but its still the same MLB Network presentation and though the Road To The Show has changed the story angle a bit it is still essentially the same as years' past. We don't play online so cannot comment on that but we can confirm that servers have been down during peak hours. Was looking forward to Build A Stadium but unfortunately that is only available in next gen. To summarize, the game is what it has always been. You wont find anything game changing in this year's game but also there has been no slide backwards in performance or quality.

Great gameplay with a variety of batting and pitching techniques. Unfortunately, the game has been released with multiple bugs and server issues but since the latest update, the game has become perfect. Server issues have become stable and the roster updates keep the game current and entertaining.

One of the best sports video game I have played. Diamond Dynasty is a lot of fun, the rewards you get for grinding are some of the best in any fantasy type sports game hands down. This year's edition has been revamped, lots of content, lots of rewards, really good graphics and awesome gameplay.

Absolutely love this game. So much content throughout the year, and definitely not a pay-to-win game. There are so many opportunities and ways to earn the best cards on the game

Actually my son, the ballplayer, should be doing this review, but this will be my "observation" of his opinion of the game. Great game for baseball fans, especially those who not only want to play the game, but become a GM of a pro sports franchise, someday. He has learned so much about the business side of baseball from this game, (2K basketball, too!) about just how to run and field a baseball team, from the GM's point of view. The graphics are really good, but not the best in gaming. Overall, a very entertaining, yet educational video game. As his Dad, I actually don't mind him playing this one more than the others, because of those attributes. Recommended!

I always enjoy the MLB game because there are so many options when playing, but it was really unfortunate that there were so many bugs on the first day/week. Overall now though it seems to be working as normal and I'm enjoying the game.

Never hard pressed of the yearly releases. There's need to spend $60 when it the price will drop like a Led Zeppelin four to six months later at a mere fraction of the price.

My son loves the Jackie Robinson edition. Awesome game play and great graphics. Bought for ps4 and now are using it on ps5 with no issues.

Just started playing MLB The Show recently. Learning curve for navigating all of the different game options and accessories is a little steep so far. My one piece of advice, when it comes time to upgrade from a PS4 to the PS5 version using the included code, make sure you are selecting the proper Jackie Robinson Edition for the update. I kept getting stuck trying to update MLB The Show instead of updating the Jackie Robinson Edition. Even Sony Playstation Support couldn't figure it out when I called them.

This is probably the worst version of the show in years. I’ve bought enough the show every year since ps2 and dabbled on ps1. The music 3/10. The menus 0/10 no matter your favorite team you have to see tatis. Gameplay 7/10 nothing really new and some of the stadiums aren’t as accurate as they normally are with updates each year. Idk it’s just the whole tatis push and lack of new gameplay. But mostly the push of tatis. It’s just annoying.

Been a die hard MLBTS player since 17. Really enjoyed this year's version. I'm still waiting on true next gen leap.

great game more and more realistic each year. Even cross platform it doesn't disappoint.
