A: I do not play online games. This version allows the Diamond Dynasty feature to have more of Baseball's Hall of Fame & historical players (Mickey Mantle, Tony Gwynn, Roberto Clemente, etc.) An internet connection is needed to get the game updates to have access to the updates but not to use them (I solo play against the computer with them). As a baseball fan I enjoy having access to the historical greats and having them play with today's players. I hope this helps.

A: Trust me GameStop is a lot less reliable for pre orders. If bestbuy shipped the game before the early release date, the Mail carrier could come early and somebody could copy the game and sell it early.
A: If you were to pre order the jackie edition, you would get the game 4 days earlier than the date intended. And you also get a few more stubs, gold equipment and more card packs. i believe the jackie edition also comes with a special bat skin than that of the standard. and with the standard you would have to wait until the initial date to play it rather than getting it 4 days early via the special edition
A: You would get the actual game mailed to you on the 16th. It comes with both the disc for the PS4 and the digital code for PS5
