The headphones are very comfortable and adjustable. The elastic headband at the top stops any pressure/sweat issues. the boom microphone is Good quality for the price and only has minimal pop or distortion noticeable. It has standard 3.5mm audiojacks but, does not have USB connector so that is something you need to be aware of, in addition the cord is single input plug but the extension cable is microphone and audio split. The 4 foot primary cable should be enough since you have to plug directly into the controllers for console machines. For laptop users you are restricted to 4 feet based on plug, extension wont work as you would lose microphone capability. Luckily my PC has front Audio connectors or the added length of the extension wouldnt have helped much as some PCs only have back audio 3.5mm connection points.

The sound quality is not the best. The ear cups are very lose and let a lot of outside sound through. Basically zero noise cancellation. They were not very comfortable to wear either. They constantly slid no matter what I did to the tightening band. The mic broke after approx. 6 months. The warranty is only accessible if you register the product within a certain window after purchase, so the best they could offer was a small discount on a new pair. While the mic was working, the sound was very crisp and clear. It did a good job of not picking up excess noise. Overall, I do not recommend these even for budget headphones. Not to drop any names, but there are cheaper ones that are better. Only good part was the long cable.

i’ve been looking for a headset that wouldn’t give me a dent in my head after hours of gaming. this one is perfect. the sound and mic quality is great and the strap is really comfortable and doesn’t leave a dent. would 100% recommend steel series headsets to anyone.

These are solid! Great sound! Great feel on your head and you don’t have to scream into the mic like it seems with some headsets I’d recommend these to anybody if you use them on Xbox make sure to change your settings to the windows sonic setting they sound excellent!

Quite comfortable and convenient. The microphone is a compact device that goes into the earpiece. Easy USB port that stays secure - all and all the product was rather a good buy.
There is other brand that has better sound quality but I bought this because the ear pads are very comfortable when wearing on the head. Maybe in the long term use the earpads will not broke like some use imitation leather. Although it may have some fingerprint on it but still a good gaming headset.

As my review title says, I've never purchased a pair of headphones specifically for gaming, this is my first pair. Take this review with a grain of salt if you feel inclined to do so. I was looking forward to using this set. Upon unboxing & quick inspection, I could tell there was thought put into these. Now, you get what you pay for, so I figured paying ~$75 would get me some footing in the gaming headset realm. Initial reaction to putting them on & using them for the first few days during my gaming sessions, I was pleased enough. The only "gaming" headset experience I had was using my regular music headphones (V Moda Crossfade Wireless 2's; Rose Gold Edition). The biggest difference I noticed (& was glad to find) was that the comfortability was on another level. My ears I suppose are bigger than average, so the amount they protrude from the sides of my head & stretch vertically make certain headphones uncomfortable to wear after long periods of time. The other difference I found was sound quality (good & bad). The bass was not near the bass of the CFW 2's, which I mean, was somewhat disappointing but understandable considering the sound signature the CFW 2's are designed to replicate. But the real test I put the Arctis 3's to was a simple one: the ability to identify enemy footsteps as they approached. I found this to be much easier on the Arctis 3's than my previous set. I was delighted I could finally anticipate the enemy much sooner for once. This was great, I found what I was looking for; Comfort & Effectiveness. But here is where I have been on the fence for deciding whether I'll keep these or return them & try another pair out. The microphone is.. finicky. The quality is great! Possibly, too great?.. I sound clear according to my friends, but the issue is my mic picking up noise where none is present. I can be sitting completely still & at random points, my mic will "pick up" some type of noise & my mic sign is shown on screen. My friends also say it sounds as if my mic is "being adjusted" or "rubbed" therefore creating the sound to them. This is a big problem considering I wish to not create a distraction for my teammates whether it be visual or auditorial. I'm going to wait till near the end of my return window before I make a decision. I'm still theorizing the cause of the trouble I'm having & trying to find solutions. As of now, great pair of headphones all round despite my nitpicking. If it can be described as that. I'll edit my review once I arrive to the near-end of the return window with a verdict. (if possible)

I've been using these headphones for a good 3 years now and they're great!! They fit perfectly on my head with the adjustable strap, I don't feel like my head is being squeezed with these like I have with other headphones. Sound quality is excellent and the microphone is top notch. A small design thing I love is that the mic feeds back into the headphones so when not in use it's not out there and obtrusive. It's also very easy to clean.

I love the Steel Series brand of headsets because of the audio quality and the overall quality of the materials they're made from. I own the wireless Steel Seies Arctis 7's and those have incredible sound on PC with the Dolby setting you can turn on. I bought these Arctis 3's for my Xbox One and they work pretty much just as good. The only difference is they arent wireless and dont have the sound upgrade on PC but that's not even a problem. Also, theres no echo from the microphone so you wont hear people complaining about that like they did with my Astro's. The retractable mic is an awesome addition as well so you can use them as regular headphones for music or whatever you want. If you're looking for a sturdy great sounding headset then definitely go with the Steel Seires Arctis line. You wont be disappointed with the choice!

Did a lot of research on the perfect first gaming headset for myself (compared this with Hyper X, Astro, some Amazon brands...) and decided on these. At $70 they're affordable, and they look the best out of any headset. I did NOT want a headset that looked like a gaming headset. It has a ski band on the top that you're able to adjust, so the solid top of the headset doesn't hit your head directly = more comfort. For me, I realized as a female with a smaller head, this kind of makes the headset look a little bigger since the headset seems to be floating over my head. But it's probably just me. I love that I can push the mic in/out (in the product photo, the mic is pushed in) and I can detach the 3.5mm cord from the headset itself for storage. You can also swivel the headset cups (?) if you're resting it around your neck, or for storage as well. There is a dial for volume on the left side of the headset and you can press a button to mute (button is pushed down) and unmute (button is up). I use this on MAC so I believe Windows users will have a much better experience in terms of mic/sound quality. Comparing this headset to Airpods - on discord and voice memo app on Mac, this headset sounds better. On Facebook Messenger, my friends have told me that I sound like a potato (cannot confirm if that's true or not) when I asked them specifically how I sounded. There are some things you can still hear The sound is acceptable for me (I'm a newbie gamer, so not picky). But I really thought this headset would have more noise cancellation. I can hear what someone is saying across the apartment while gaming with this headset on. Maybe it's something I'm missing, maybe this headset doesn't claim to do that.

I like this headset mainly because it doesn't cause echo in the Xbox party chat which has been the main issue with a lot of headsets that I used - from Turtle Beach, Hyper X, and Corsair to name a few. Also the feedback I got was that the mic sounds really clear. The sound overall is good. It's not really bass-y but it's good for playing battle Royale games. I used it with Xbox, PS4, Nintendo Switch for both playing and watching shows. Very comfortable especially this edition has more cushion so the your ears won't be touching the inside of the speakers compared to the previous edition.

I’ve been needing a new mic for a longtime and decided to buy this one as it had good reviews and good specs, I’m highly proud of this product as there comfortable, lightweight, sound excellent, and don’t look too gamer lol. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a mic. Works for almost everything too but I only use it for Xbox. There’s nothing I would change with this product other then making the aux port a L shape instead of it being straight as it could break easily like this.

TL;DR: The Arctis 3 is a very comfortable and clean-looking headset which sounds great. It sounded amazing from games like Minecraft to Call of Duty. The footsteps were very clear in both games, and the gunshots and explosions were nice and boomy in Call of Duty. The ski headband on this headset is different, but very comfortable if you can find the perfect adjustment on it. The earcups are nice and soft too. No complaints in the comfort part. The mic sounds great from the feedback I've gotten from my friends, and from the sound tests I've done. Overall, the Arctis 3 headset is amazing for the price, and would recommend to everyone.
