This charging cable is a must have if you never owned a 3ds before, thank god I bought one because I thought I would have a cable laying around that I would be able to use but no it's a special head for the 3ds

I don't have much to say about this. It's a charger made by Nintendo that works with several version of Nintendo portable consoles. I've been using it for two months now and I hadn't had any problems, does what it's supposed to do and does it well. If you are going to buy the New Nintendo 3DS XL you will have to buy this power adapter because the New Nintendo 3DS XL doesn't come with one.

In my time of owning a 3DS it's hard to find a charger you can trust to charge your system and not worry about power spikes or overheating issues. This one does the job and is compact enough for travel.

Unless you have a power supply from an old 3DS, you'll need to purchase this since Nintendo did not include one with the New 3DSXL. Charges my New 3DSXL nicely.

If you have a Nintendo 2DS or New Nintendo 3DS XL, you need this adapter! Not only does it work on all Nintendo 3DS systems, but also the Nintendo DSi if you still have one of those laying around. I bought this one to have a travel adapter since I so brilliantly plugged my original in and then shoved a heavy bookcase in front of it. Now I can enjoy my New Nintendo 3DS XL on the road!

You had to buy this charger seperate. Not very fond that it didn't come with one but at least it's only $15 and works great.

For those still rocking any dedicated handheld in the DS family, this AC adaptor will keep your handheld charged no problem

It kinda sucks that the new 3ds xl doesn't come with a cord but this one works great and the cost wasn't that bad either

I held off on an early-adoption of the 3DS out of skepticism. I was an original DS owner (DS Lite actually, but whatever), so I didn't need *much* convincing, just a bit more than the early going suggested. Then Nintendo decided to tease the New 3DS to American consumers by announcing it, showing it off... and then not releasing in North America for another 6 months (from the 8/14 reveal). I held off purchase again to get the New 3DS. It was a great purchase for me. The downside is the AC adapter. It's a product that isn't included with the system, meaning new 3DS buyers are forced into the purchase. I'm sure there's an argument somewhere about changing the price of the actual device by including the power supply. It's also entirely silly and not a good way to bring in new users. I've held out specifically for this version of the 3DS. I wonder how many Nintendo expects to upgrade from an older edition... and then how many are first-time 3DS owners making a double-buy just to charge the battery. In short: the adapter works perfectly. That it was a required second purchase? Dumb as rocks. Ah, Nintendo.

I needed a spare charger for my New 3DS XL, and this one works great. Good price as well.

So it works alright but it doesn’t look cool. I returned this and got the black insignia charger which works well, looks cool, and saves space.

works great, excellent price, much better than the generic one from gamestop

The charger does what it needs to do. I could have bought a generic charger, but I have read too many articles about generic chargers not working as well as they could. The official charger is only a few dollars more. I have two chargers. One for home and one for work. I do a lot of streetpassing at work, so I like having the option of charging my 3ds at work.

A necessity if you do not have a Nintendo 3ds charger. Works great!

There is no question that when it has came down to video games on the go, Nintendo has been the reigning champion of knowing what the gamer wants with fun, and they have shown that with great games for over 25 years of portable fun. With the Nintendo 3DS, you have a great deal of fun with games like Mario Kart 7, Pilotwings Resort, and Super Mario 3D Land. Still, when the battery does die down, you need a really good charge to keep the system from failing and that is where the Nintendo 3DS Adapter comes into play. It works very well at keeping your system charged up, whether it is the 3DS, 2DS, or Nintendo DSi. It works very well, and doesn't lose its stamina unlike other AC Adapters for DS systems past and present. I definitely recommend that if you need a extra charger for the 3DS or 3DS XL, than I absolutely recommend you get the Nintendo 3DS AC Adapter.

The new charger for the 3DSXL seemed necessary at the time to purchase. But upon further review, it seems that the old chargers from older versions of the DS work just fine. Still, there's nothing wrong with the product, just Best Buys original marketing of it. They have since corrected the issue in store.

Charges the 3DS system and works as it should. Make sure you verify if your 3DS console purchase includes this adapter or not. Most recently released versions do not, so you will need to purchase this as well. Unfortunately, the adapter is proprietary, so a standard USB or other will not work.

Great to see Nintendo finally shipping first party chargers. The New 3DS XL does not come with an A/C adapter but I bought this to have an extra charger at the house and one for the office. Pretty much what you would expect from a charger but great to not have to gamble on a third party product!

Realized that I didn't have a charger on a recent business trip, and this is exactly what I needed. Didn't hurt that it just happened to be on sale too! Now I can keep my original charger hooked up to the charging cradle and have a 2nd on the go!

We lost our son's charger for his Nintendo 3DS. Bought this at the Best Buy store and even used my $5 Rewards so even cheaper price point. No issues after a few months of use. I would definitely recommend this for those that need an extra charger to to replace a lost one.
