I originally purchased it for a friend who has dementia. It is programmed for a Samsung TV but is supposed to accommodate other TVs with a code. I was unable to get a code to partner it for a Sony TV with Spectrum cable.

Great if you just have cable, but no way to access the SmartHub or apps on the TV. Ended up having to download a remote app to watch Netflix, etc.

I have used this remote twice for people at an assisted living facility. It is great because it gives them control of basic cable features, but does not have all of the buttons of a normal remote, that makes it too confusing.

If you own anything more than a basic TV this thing is worthless. We owned it for 10 minutes before deciding to return it. Hated the slide cover. I can see why it's on clearance. We liked to idea of a simpler to use unit with larger buttons. Found one at another store for a lot more money. Just ordered it. Returning this one tomorrow.

I got this to control an Onn TV with Roku for my grandma with dementia and it works pretty good. Basically I wanted something that would only cycle through live channels. If you are trying to do the same thing just make sure on demand channels are hidden, this remote will get stuck on those.
