Ring - Indoor Cam 2K - Plug-in, Retinal 2K, 6x Enhanced Zoom, Night Vision for true-color in the near dark - White

Hi kaye. That's a great question. The Ring Indoor Cam 2K uses motion detection to send you alerts when movement is detected in its field of view. If your camera was previously alerting you when you walked near it but has since stopped, there are a few things to check. Open the Ring app and make sure both "Motion Detection" and "Motion Alerts" are toggled on for your device. You can find these at the top of your device's page in the app. Next, check your "Motion Settings" and make sure the sensitivity is set high enough and that your motion zones cover the area around your door. Also, confirm that your phone's notification settings allow the Ring app to send alerts and that Do Not Disturb is turned off on your mobile device. If everything looks correct, try rebooting your Indoor Cam 2K by unplugging it for about 30 seconds and then plugging it back in. This can resolve temporary glitches that may affect motion detection and alerts. We invite you to reach out to our community if any additional information is needed regarding your Ring Indoor Cam 2K. The Ring Community is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another by sharing their feedback and experiences with each other. Thank you, Melissa from Ring.
