I had an old Samsung 8" tablet that was starting to slow down and decided to take advantage of the holiday sales and upgrade to the new Galaxy S2. Was an excellent decision. Graphics, speed, screen size so much better than old version. Expandable memory a bonus. Love this thing! Additional plus: automatically syncs with my S6 phone and my gmail account & calendar. I think I've accidentally become a Droid.

Before this I had the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 Wi-Fi tablet. I prefer that form factor for media and most games. This does have some letterboxing when viewing full screen media and some Android games don't seem scaled properly. Saying that the tablet is quick and the screen has vibrant colors. Switching between Wi-Fi and cellular is quick and seamless. Casting to my smart TV works though the initial handshake is slow. There is the typical Samsung and AT&T bloat but most can be disabled if you don't want to use it.

Replaced a Tab S 8.4 with this one... LTE was a must for me. Super AMOLED has become a must for me as well it seems.. I have other tablets but I seem to always come back to the Samsung ones (used mainly for games and browsing) . Still not a fan of the 4:3 aspect ratio , I would rather they have stayed with 16:10 (of the Tab S 8.4). + Battery Life is great + Screen is top notch (note resolution and ppi is actually slightly less then the older s models) + I have had great LTE and WiFi signals. + Weight is great. - 4:3 aspect ratio - Screen is a fingerprint magnet for sure - Android 5.x Wish it would update to 6.x Android but that may be a AT&T hold up.... I would rather tablets be sold unlocked and allow me to choose the carrier I want, but thats not the case .

I use this every day, the only thing I would like to change, is to have the 8 in S2 be on ATT. The 9 inch is just a little big to fit in one hand but has a good battery life and clear screen.

Upgraded my wife's old iPad and moved to ALL Samsung ALL the time!!! Once she got used to the differences (in using it, buttons, apps, etc.) she LOVES it !! Screen is crystal clear!! Easy to use. Millions of apps, AND you can add a mini-SD card (we bought the 32gb, but immediately added a 64GB card and now she has TWICE the storage she had with the iPad. It hooks up with her Samsung Note5 phone, our TV, etc. and everything is all connected. AND...it's HUNDREDS of dollars cheaper than the iPad. Goodbye APPLE !!

I own the Galaxy Tab S and really liked just about everything about it. Unfortunately it no longer functioned properly (poor battery, constant crashing, etc), so I wanted to try the "upgrade" to the S2. One thing that is better in some ways is the screen. Although the screen resolution on the Tab S was technically better, I cannot discern between the two. The biggest change is the aspect ratio from a widescreen in the S, to a 4:3 in the S2. The Tab 2 is much better for viewing web pages (they seem to scale better) and also for reading books. Functionality is about the same, with the Tab 2 having the newer OS (6.0.1). Battery life is also improved, even though I believe the battery is actually smaller. Also welcomed is the much thinner and lighter profile. The storage is also doubled from 16GB to 32GB. The expandable microSD card slot remains, although hot swapping the card is much more difficult due to having to use a small pointed object to eject the card. I really like the fingerprint scanner too. It works almost everytime for me, unlike my Galaxy S7. All in all, it is a really wonderful tablet. Combined with mobile internet through AT&T, it is a wonderful option for mobile entertainment and computing. The S3 should be out soon though........

Good size for traveling, however resolution is a downgrade from previous Tab S and battery life is noticeably less.

I am a Samsung phone user, so I gravitated toward looking for a Samsung tablet. I replaced an iPad and Kindle with this tablet. I've had it for 1 month now, and it has nearly replaced my laptop. It fits nicely in my briefcase, and is lightweight. I did purchase a case for it. It has very good processing speed. I am very pleased with it, so much so, I purchased one for my Husband.

I had the Samsung Galaxy Tab (8") and really enjoyed it. After a while it had issues not readily repairable, so when the Tab S2 went on sale I gave it a try. The original tab had a 16:9 aspect ratio, while the Tab S2 is a 4:3 I believe. I was a little bummed at first, thinking it was going to make watching videos less enjoyable. I don't seem to notice it too much at all when watching movies. It does really work better when reading books, as this is my eReader as well. Web pages look better too. The screen is bright, with more detail than I can normally utilize. The battery life is decent, and charges rather quickly. When it is not its case, this thing is SUPER thin and portable. With AT&T and the Share Plans, it only costs $10 a month to have it added to my plan . Only gripe I have is something pretty universal to Samsung. The speakers on the same side of the tablet, so you don't get very good stereo sound when using it in horizontal mode.

I have owned several tablets throughout the years - almost all brands - and this is by far the best one yet. I opted for the 4G model and have been impressed with the all-around performance. This tablet is sleek and fast and the display is amazing. I use it at home and work and it surpasses my expectations in a tablet. I am glad I made the switch from carrying around fruit to having this more versatile tool!

The table works great and runs fast, the setup is pretty straightforward and I did not encounter any problems. Battery life is good and runs all APPS along with live TV.

Size of tablet is not to big or to small. The simplicity of using it is great since I am a dumbing when it comes to these technical devices. Another great perk with this product and purchasing at Best Buy is that there are consultants on hand during store hours for me to walk in and get a training class on the tablet and/or answer any questions I may have free of charge. I need this great service/perk that is being offered. The sales clerk who helped me with my purchase was extremely versed in this product. I explained what my needs were and he did not try to sell me anything more than what I needed. Extremely helpful. Prior to coming to Best Buy I visited other stores in my town and no one took the time or had the knowledge to help me as Best Buy did.

I already have an older IPad and I wasn't overly impressed so for my new tablet, I decided to get a Samsung. The reviews on this tablet were true. The screen is just nice to look at and it is surprisingly light for its size. I am not tied into one ecosystem so I didn't really care how many more apps android have over its but for a fraction of the cost of an Ipad, this Samsung is a no-brainer.
