The Sonos Move 2 delivers bold, stereo portable sound, excellent streaming flexibility (WiFi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2) and rugged outdoor readiness — but its sizable form-factor, premium price and somewhat limited deep-bass extension keep it from being perfect.

Constant connectivity issues are frustrating. AirPlay functionality is inconsistent and often fails. Sometimes the speaker becomes completely undetectable and has to be reconnected using the app as if it’s a new piece of equipment. My JBL has none of these issues and delivers solid performance over WiFi. The Sonos does have good sound and portability is a nice feature, hence the average rating.

I like the product. The sound is great. However, the battery does not last as long as advertised. Also, I had all sorts of issues with Best Buy because I purchased the Move 2 I black on Fathers Day for a great sale price, but was unable to exchange it for the white color even though I visited 5 separate BB stores due to availability

I don’t like the fact that you can only pair with another Sonos move on WiFi.

I will start by saying the sound quality of this speaker sounded very good for a portable bluetooth/network speaker. However, the Wi-Fi is not that great. I had it in a spot where my phone got great coverage but the speaker kept cutting out. Because of this I had to return it.

I love bluetooth speakers, and have many at home. Comparing this to the JBL boombox wifi 3, this is lackluster in base, and is probably around 75% as loud. I think it looks better in design, but still needs a redesign for the internals.

It’s ok, not that great. Certainly not worth 400-500 dollars

I am a *huge* Sonos fan. I own four Sonos SLs, two Sonos Beam Gen 2s, and three Sonos Mini Subs…so I am fairly invested in the Sonos ecosystem. But the Sonos Move 2 is disappointing for the price. I’ve had poratable speakers that were half the price that put out sound at least on par with the Move 2. Yes, the Move 2 sounds great when paired with other Sonos speakers. But if you are looking for a single standalone portable speaker, I’d probably look elsewhere. You can get sound at least as good (if not better) for less money. Sorry Sonos, but I hope you put a lot more effort into the Move 3, because the Move 2 is surprisingly mundane.

great sound. Miserable set up experience. The Move2 hooked up with every Sonic device in my house except for the one thing I wanted, my iPhone. App is awful as well
