I've been trying the 2 major VR/AR/MR systems, Meta Quest3 and Playstation VR2, on my PS5 to decide if it's time to jump into the new technology. Quest3 is an untethered system allowing free movement, while VR2 is tethered. With VR2 there are 2 issues; 1) you're movement is limited by the tether, and 2) there's a definite possibility you could get tripped-up by it also. As to usability...Both are "acceptable", but I preferred the Quest3's optics over VR2. IMO, I'd like to see better optics, and I think someday, they'll get this worked out. For controllers, I prefer the VR2 (Q2 are similar) over the Q3; they just felt "better" to me. Also, the VR2 eye-tracking is great! Mixed-reality, Q3 has VR2 beat, with full-color MR, while VR2 is B&W (yuch!). Overall, if you want to dig into VR now, I'd say you need to consider that tether, and for that alone I prefer Q2 over VR2. Also, because Q3 can work with your 'puter, while VR2 cannot; although YMMV. The headset on the VR2 is MUCH more comfortable IMO, and the controllers feel "better" (to me). Setup is easier on the VR2, and things just "feel" more positive (i.e. picking something up). So which one to choose???...There's no good answer, it's up to you to decide. The best way to do so is to try each out, in your own environment, and make your decision. Both are good quality units, both have pros & cons...BUT...There is that addn'l $500+ that you'll have to spend for the PS5 game console IF you decide to go the VR2 route (if you don't have a PS5 already). If I didn't have a PS5 already, my personal choice would be Q3 if only because it's not tethered and does not require a game console. For ease of use, they both have their "quirks". BTW, watching movies on both is NOT as nice as expected if you have a quality TV, so that doesn't matter IMO.

I bought this psvr2 call of the wild bundle with digital voucher for Horizon: call of the wild game included as an open box excellent condition system back in july. As advertised it arrived to me in excellent condition, It wasn't in it original packaging but came in a nice white box. The psvr2 was in excellent condition for being an open box/used item, I have played my psvr2 constantly and have enjoyed it immensely. Psvr2 really makes you feel like you are in different worlds/environments, you feel immersed like your really there. I played Resident Evil: Village and this game scared me!!! It's like the monsters are in front of you and all around you, i had to stop playing after awhile cause it scared me. I will say if you buy psvr2 and are new to virtual reality, ease yourself into it, until your body gets use to it because you might become nauseous and light headed. I recommend starting off just playing 30 minutes of psvr2 and slowly increase your playing time until you feel comfortable enough playing psvr2 without becoming nauseous. The reason I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars is because before i purchase this, best buy ad had stated open box call of the wild bundle with digital voucher for the Horizon call of the wild game. I called Best Buy 1-(800) number to verify if the ad was legitimate and the representative said yes it was. I received my psvr2 bundle and there was no digital voucher for the game. I called Bestbuy explained what happened, Bestbuy then told me to call Sony to get the game. Long story short i didn't get my digital voucher code for the game. Be careful of buying any open box bundle consoles from Bestbuy advertising free digital voucher of game because the open box console will not have the voucher for game. Other than that issue, i love my psvr2, sorry for the long review

Open box product as described by best buy. Product performance is great and continues to perform as intended, comfort is the only issue I had. I have the headset setup for my sessions and requires just a bit of fine tuning each time I put it on as I put markings on it. The front head bump/pillow area varies by session and can get uncomfortable after ~25 minutes if not adjusted precisely. The eye shield window attachment was most uncomfortable, it blocked light as intended but support to my face just wasn’t there. Bought a padded shield that also required fine tuning for my face but is setup now and is by far more comfortable.

I'm really happy with image quality and gameplay considering it is a 2.5 year old product. Disappointed that it doesn't play PS VR1 titles and can't play 3D or 180 or 360 degree videos. Got a large savings on price by buying "open-box excellent condition" unit in online store. (Can be difficult to navigate too.) Unit was in great shape. Only minor issue is that it was missing the small and large additional earpieces. Only option I was given to resolve that was to return the unit. Sigh.

The PSVR2 is a solid headset, especially for the price. It loses one star for comfort, as an aftermarket comfort mod is pretty much required. Once that’s added, it’s very good. While the resolution is lower than some competing headsets, the OLED display delivers more accurate and noticeably brighter colors. Also, if you want to use this for PC, you need to purchase an adapter.

The headset is really great but the controllers have the absolute worst battery life of anything i’ve ever bought EVER, i didn’t really think much of it untill a week or two after i bought it. I thought they were dying fast cause it was new and came with very little charge, but i soon figured out that was not why. I also didn’t want to charge them at different times or one would always be dead, unless i fully charged both of them one at a time(and me, who just waited 20 ish hours from when i ordered it, was not about to wait 2 more). So I actually ended up using the cord for my wireless phone charger because it was the only other thing in my house that use a USB-C port. Four stars(:

Picked this up when the Summer Sale Hit for $399. The headset is very comfortable by comparison to others, I will say that the "sweet spot" on your head is a bit small but other than that I have no real issues with the Hardware. If you are using the Pulse 3D Elite Headset be sure and put those on first as unlike the first PSVR they fit underneath the VR. There are some great games I play regularly now including Walkabout Mini Golf, Resident Evil Village, Among Us if you can find a match without kids. I'm also looking forward to getting Gran Turismo 7 when it goes on sale. Overall its been hard to get excited about gaming lately but buying this headset changed that for me.

It’s an excellent experience that provides full immersion due to its high FOV. The OLED panels provide wonderful color contrast that is mind blowing. Going from the Quest 3 to this has been awesome. I’ve had this for a good while and at a good sale, I recommend it!

Pretty good. OLED colors display beautifully. The "sweet spot" of VR is a lot smaller on this one than the meta quest 3. But that's due to the upgraded pancake lenses in the quest. The horizon game is very immersive and a lot of fun. You'll definitely break a sweat. I bought it during the major price drop, but I definitely wouldn't pay full price for it.

First of all, Staff at my store were great through the whole process. I wish I could give 5 stars for just that alone, they were amazing and I appreciate the help they gave me. I'm mainly giving a star off because while I do like the headset and its been a lot of fun, I had to return it twice for different defects before I got one that just worked. One had a defective right trigger and the other had dead pixels in the left lense. The third one seems to be just fine, but still, word of warning for anyone who wants one, if you get a good one, its great! but you might get one with problems. Sony should really check on their QA for these.

I enjoy playing bigger games like Gran Turismo 7, and the newer resident evil's in vr, which I couldn't do with my quest 2. The earbuds don't stay in my ear that well, so I use headphones for a better experience. I bought this during the days of play sale for 350$ and I think that price better represents it's value.

Really cool vr but doesnt have as many big ticket games as expected and you need a really big room to play most games but overall really good, the build quality is also amazing.

Really good. Did have a strange synch issue getting all the devices linked at first but once resolved that, it was really good.. amazing new features over older psvr, like boundary protection to warn you if you exit the safe vr movement zone and a passthrough vdi function(cameras) etc. Fun to use and a good workout.

Very good system with good graphics and great controls. My only complaint is the lack of games and the inability to play psvr 1 titles.

I have really enjoyed playing some of the popular game titles out now and currently waiting for a few more. The lens do tend to fog up after a few minutes of gameplay so be ready to buy some accessories to ease comfort and help with percision. More games should be releasing soon so overall I would definitely recommend.

The PlayStation VR2 (PS VR2) is a major upgrade over its predecessor, offering a significantly improved virtual reality experience for PlayStation 5 users. The Sense controllers offer advanced haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, providing a more immersive experience. Additionally, the PS VR2 supports eye-tracking for more responsive gameplay. While the game library is still growing, the device offers impressive graphics and an immersive experience that showcases the potential of VR gaming on the PlayStation platform. However, it does require a PlayStation 5 console and a dedicated space for optimal use. Overall, it's a solid choice for VR enthusiasts seeking an upgrade.

"The PS VR2 is an incredible leap in virtual reality! The visuals are stunning, the headset is comfortable, and the haptic feedback adds an extra layer of immersion. The eye tracking and adaptive triggers make a real difference in gameplay. While the cable can be a minor inconvenience, the overall experience is top-notch. If you’re into VR, this is a must-have for PlayStation fans!"
