Installation into existing brick was straightforward, and setting up the device was easy. The camera/video picture quality is good, and it has handy preset verbal messages for interacting with visitors. The doorbell chime is fun, and I like that notifications can be accessed from the same app as other Swann devices, e.g. cameras and flood sensors. I would give it 5 stars if getting tech support were a bit easier. Their chat is for new sales only, and the 800 number has a long wait time. Moving the device from one account to another was impossible until we fully paired it with the one account and then removed it, which we sorted out on our own.

The only reason I do not give this doorbell a 5 rating is because of its clunky size. This I’m sure is because of the battery. Need a larger casing so your not dismounting your doorbell all the time to charge. Set up is very easy download the app scan the QR code and your on your way. Two things to watch out for. One is that it only works on a 2.4ghz WiFi. Second is don’t mount the cradle before viewing the camera output and height. Use double sided tape or have someone assist.

It works great. I was able to understand and follow the directions in the book. The device came fully charged when it was delivered. I liked to pick the chime I wanted, there is a dog bark which was nice, but we selected a traditional doorbell sound. The chime unit itself is pretty small and unobtrusive. We've got it centrally located in the house and it's easy to hear. I had some difficulty pairing the device and my phone, but we played around with it and got it connected. It would have been great if there was some trouble-shooting in the guide. Now that it's up and ready to go, it is good to be able to check what is happening at the door, even when we are home to feel more safe at home. The camera is clear and we really like having this product. Many others in our neighborhood also have the product. I got this doorbell because I wanted to have better security. We have had some packages stolen in our neighborhood over the years. This should hopefully help with that. I'm really happy with this purchase and would reccomend it to anyone looking to upgrade and update from a "traditional" doorbell to a video doorbell.

This product was very easy to install. The wireless chime with multiple rings made finishing the installation even easier! This is an addition to my already installed Swann security cameras. It works with the same apps and is very easy to view cameras. I will say the response time on the app is slower then my wired cameras but that is expected. All in all a great product! Would definitely recommend as an addition or a stand alone.

This was my first experience with a camera doorbell, I love it! It was super easy to set up, came with good instructions for mounting. The battery seems to last for some time and will be easy to charge when it needs it. I love that I can check what is happening around my doorstep and yard when I am away from home. The app is easy to use and provides still previous pictures and live video. The camera shows great detail, especially during the day. I know some require a monthly fee and didn't want to have that ongoing cost. This seems to be a good value and well worth the security.

I had a hard time pairing the device to my phone however once it was paired the set up was very fast. I think there needs to be more instructions on how to pair the device and the indoor speaker.

This was the easiest setup and install ever. The app walked me through everything perfectly. The video is fast to respond. Video quality is good too. The chime is nice and loud and selectable tone. Definitely a good buy!

We have been wanting to get a video doorbell for quite a while - really happy with the Swann product! It has a super clear video covering a rather large amount of area. And, we love the ability to talk with the person at the door through our phone. Nice to be able to view past videos as well. Had a little bit of trouble setting it up as the system was only showing live videos and wasn't archiving videos but we worked with customer service which was great! Got the issue resolved and things are working perfectly now!

These days everyone should install a camera at their front door. This is my first one so I’m not as used to some of the attributes as others might be. Some pros and cons I've experienced are as follows: Pros: 1. It comes with the option to be wired or wireless. 2. Set up was easy. 3. There are no monthly fees because it records to the 32Gb MicroSD card (included) or the Cloud. 4. The video quality is good, includes night vision, displays 1080p, has 180° viewing, and works with Google and Alexa. 5. The speaker has six different chime tones to choose from and is portable, so you can take it with you to the basement, backyard, or anywhere else around the house. 6. Whenever it detected motion, it recorded it for a few seconds on the app so you can take a look back at it. 7. It has an alarm on it that you can set off from your phone to warn intruders. 8. Cons: 1. A manual to use this on the app was not included so one needs to search internet for it. 2. No night light (similar to a regular doorbell) in order for people to locate the doorbell at night. 3. The mobile app does NOT ring, only a notification is sent. 4. The Motion Mask turns the whole screen blue rather than just the the areas I want to mask. 5. The Mode: After changing the mode to AWAY, it always reverted back to HOME. 6. There’s a delay when viewing and talking to someone which I didn't expect. My Wi-Fi router is less than 15 feet from the doorbell. 7. Once the camera goes to sleep, it takes quite a while to wake back up. 8. It did fail to connect several times but once it did, it worked fine. All that said, this is a good device that does what it says it will do. It’s a doorbell/security camera that detects motion, alerts you when someone is at the door, and stores the video footage for you.

I purchased this with the hope of replacing the eufy doorbells and making a seamless transition. I was in for a surprise, the installation was easy, setting up the device was easy but the functionality is where this was lacking. The charge only lasts 3-4 days tops, if you keep the motion sensor at the lowest setting it still eats away at the battery with all the phantom alerts. The other option is to turn off the motion sensor which defeats the purpose og buying a security doorbell. The other issue is the doorbell chime included has only 2 volume options that are adjustable thru the app only. The doorbell chimes are small, battery operated instead of plug-in and make placement difficult since they need to be in a space the small speakers can be heard in the living space. The other issue is i purchased 2 doorbells for the front and rear door, well guess what, you cant pair 2 doorbells to one chime. SO you need to have both doorbell chimes next to each other which is not convenient or nice to look at.

I have moved to a new apartment and installed the video doorbell to track when packages are delivered, the dog walker arrives, and the coming and goings of the cleaners. I had a delayed installation because the apartment complex doesn't automatically approve doorbells and cameras for aesthetic reasons. But, after getting around to taking a look at it they approved. They came by to inspect and asked about the brand because it, evidently, is better looking than others that have been installed here. Set up was easy and I'm not very tech savvy. The images are clear and it functions as needed. I find the app convenient and perfect for my uses - as it's almost entirely for when I'm away from home. I especially like NOT having a monthly subscription to use this, which was what had kept me from installing one sooner.

So I was pertty optimistic when purchasing this unit. After installing it and playing around with sensitivity controls, this thing ended up not being good at all. It would not pick up people coming up to the doorway. It would only pick up people walking away. Whats the point if you cant record or recognize the people coming up to the door. It will record a quick glance of people right before they would be leaving. There was a lot of lag from a doorbell press to when I would get the notification. Not only that, but then the app would take forever to load once you get a notification, or it will just crash and ask to restart the app again. Picture quality is poor. I have 2 small trees in the front yard, day or night, this was sending notifications non stop. I do not reccomend this product at all! Returned and got another product which is working wonderfully.

Good quality. My only complaint is that it picks up all the motion outdoors. I live on a busy street and in front of the train tracks so it goes off with all cars and the train. I have put a mask on those areas but it’s still going off and draining my battery. One day and 12% of battery life was already used

PIR sensors work optimally when the camera is mounted around looking down somewhat and the subject of detection passes across their front. The more the object must "cross" the front of the camera the better the detection reliability. When placing your camera try to avoid situations where the subject would move straight toward the camera if possible. You may need to experiment with the sensitivity settings in the app and camera placement to get the ideal setting. Don’t know if I got a faulty doorbell, but I have everything on the lowest settings and the battery drains every three weeks. Considering this is a rental property is very difficult for me to knock on the door and say hey I’m here to recharge the front doorbell. I have called Swan to no avail, they said it was my settings however I have it on all the lowest settings possible without even being able to view the camera which is why I got it in the first place.

We purchased this option to have a doorbell since we have a whole swann set up in our house. Unfortunately, the settings for this doorbell SUCK! We have tried to set up blind spots so it doesnt catch the street and the shadow of the tree moving. Im so disappointed because this doorbell isnt cheap but it is what it is now.

Color night vision did not work, there is a standard 20-30 second "processing" time before you can view any live video as the unit goes into sleep mode and the doorbell notifications to your phone only work half the time. Love my Swann camera system but this one is a fail
