I purchased this antenna to enable WiFi for my security cameras. I could’ve just hardwired it to the router but there were several obstacles. I wasn’t aware this was even an option, so what great time saver. Basically “plug & play”. The antenna is very well make and easily installed. Best Buy definitely had the best price and availability (hence the name). I ordered online and received this in about 3 days. My 4K security camera pictures are super clear and crisp. I actually stretched out an Ethernet cable ( 30 feet)to see it there was a difference in picture quality. I couldn’t see a difference at all. So no cable required. If you have a similar situation, this antenna will solve your problem.

I bought this for my Swann Security camera DVR. It was easy to set up and allowed me to move the DVR to a more secure location in my house. It has worked well.

Do not buy this junk. If antenna losses signal for 2 sec you need to manually connect again. Swann software do not automatically connect to Wi-Fi. Every single time you need to do it manually. Insane. I just spoke with Swann support. My router 10 feet away.

This product works as intended and is a great add on to DVR to make your security system available on the web. I mainly bought the antenna to connect my DVR to wifi so that I could access my cameras on my iPhone through the mobile app from swann.
