Answered by TPLinkSupportYes, once you have established the initial Powerline network connection, you can introduce additional Powerline adapters to your existing Powerline network, while still only having the one priamry Powerline adapter connected to the router.
Hi, My router is in 2nd floor where I plan to connect one adapter while the second adapter I plan to connect to the basement. My basement has it's own circuit panel while the 2nd floor is another panel. Will this work for my requirement?
Answered by TPLinkSupportNo - both adapters must be on the same main circuit/panel. If the outlets are separated by a separate circuit panel or a sub-panel, the adapters will not be able to communicate.
Do the two ports mean that I can hook up two devices via Ethernet? If so, do ports needs to be connected on BOTH adapters , or just the receiving end adapter?
Answered by TPLinkSupportOne of the adapters must remain connected to your router via Ethernet cable (just 1 cable). The other port on the same unit can be used for another device, such as a desktop PC, if desired. On the secondary adapter, both Ethernet ports can be used to supply wired connectivity to network client devices (i.e. smart TV, console, etc.)
Will these also transmit power if I use a POE switch?
