Super easy to setup. Been trying to conserve electricity to save money and being able to schedule turn on and off as needed (for example to make sure they are all off right before the 'peak' hours start for SCE) really helps. I am thinking about buying more for more appliances.

These things are amazing, they are performing well. I am able to turn them on and off from hundreds of miles away. The only snafu I had was with the initial set up with the Tapo app. Once I figured how to configure them on the app, they are working flawlessly.

The 3 units that come in the package work very well. They do what they are supposed to do and connected to the smartthings environment (AEOTEC HUB), immediately. I have an air dehumidifier in the garage that is connected to one of this plugs. A routine was created to turn it on or off based on the humidity level. This is way cheaper than buying a Smart dehumidifier. Highly recommended.

I love these smart plugs! They were very easy to set up, and you can update their firmware. Connecting the device and updating the firmware only took about 2 minutes for each plug. It just doesn't get any easier than that. The build quality on them is excellent! They have a premium look and feel. They're slim, allowing you to plug another device into the same outlet. Alexa integration is flawless. I feel that of all of the smart plugs I've used, TP-Link's Tapo are the best.

I've have numerous Kasa outlets from TP-Link that I use with HomeKit and this is my first Tapo ones. Set up was quick and easy. I really like their small size so no problem fitting 2 next to each other and in tight spaces. Also, the 3 pack was a great value. While I use HomeKit to control them, my kids have Amazon devices, so it is nice that they can be controlled by both. Definitely a great purchase.

Was pretty easy to set up and pair so long as you use the sticker that comes with it and not the smaller QR code on the plug itself. (Otherwise the QR code is too small for app to recognize or it’s too close to be in focus) Also it was pretty simple to hook up to my smart phone- just note that you should pair it to the smart home app (google home, apple home, etc) instead of the tp link app or wires get crossed and you’d need to reset it and pair it again to the smart home app. Makes it much easier to use all in one place. Once hooked up it works like a charm. Very responsive, and pairs right back up even when unplugged for a while.

Best smart plug for the price. I purchased these for my holiday lights and tree. They are great mini plugs. Easy to set up in the app and you can add it to the Smart things and Smart Life app. The app is simple to use and can create automation.

I like my outdoor outlet so much I orders these for indoor. My wife is legally blind and controlling things can be difficult. Once the APP is installed, it recognized the units when energized. It attached with Bluetooth and then allowed attachment to out WIFI. It also asked if we wanted to allow control with Alexa (or other device). Flawless linking. Each device can be given its own name.

My first entry into having smart plugs was having WEMO brand plugs and they worked ok, I found issues over time with the WEMO brand ones disconnecting from the app and having to be reset so that got annoying. I kept an eye out for other recommended brands and I landed on the Tapo TP-Link plugs...BEST DECISION EVER. They have worked flawlessly. Setup is simple, control is great, you can even see all of the stats about how long things are on/energy used if you are into that. I just want a device that makes non smart things smart that I can turn on with my voice or even set a schedule. I would get these time and time again!

Couldn’t be happier with this product. I purchased these to replace my Wemo plugs which were bricked back in January 2026 and I’m glad I did. These were so easy to setup and they haven’t disconnected or needED to be reset in the couple months that’ve I’ve owned them. I really like the form-factor and how small they are which makes them able to fit in smaller spaces than my previous plugs. Lastly, I really like how you can control the light on the device and can turn it off so it won’t shine during the light.

Excellent smart plug, easy to use. I run through home assistant and took 30 seconds to setup.

We were leaving on a trip and i wanted to be able to setup a series of lights and other electronic devices in the house that would start and turn off a certain times or remotely in some cases. TP-Link allowed me to do that with ease. while we were gone they lite the family light and Christmas tree as well as the music player. Next time i will buy to use in other parts of the house.

This is very useful, I bought this for my ceramic space heater, since it can get very hot when left on for a long time. Sometimes I would fall asleep waiting for the room to get warm so I can turn it off and I would wake up light headed or unable to breath due to heat built up. So with this all I have to do is set up a schedule for when to turn it on and off. And now I enjoy my space heater a lot better, since I can’t turn it on remotely on my way home from work, that way when I get home it’s nice and cozy.

This is a nice little smart plug. It's easy to install, set up, and use. The price is right as well. I use this for a variety of functions (lights, fans, etc) so it's robust enough for my needs. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for easy smart outlets.

This smart plug works with the TP-Link or TAPO app and I set it up to turn on bedside lamp at same time of day my alarm goes off in the morning to wake me up. I can also set it up with Google so I can tell my living room lamp to turn on by voice "OK Google turn on lamp".
