One word excellent dashCam with wifi , take a camera shot,

I got this camera as a gift. It's so easy to use, and took only minutes to set up the APP and install in the car. Almost being the dash cam at lowest price, this little guy has built bells and whistles such as WIFI connectivity, nice night vision, LCD screen. I was in a couple of unplesant incidents so this is an affordable way to keep myself protected. I have purchased another unit for my BFF as a X'mas gift. It's a good way to give "peace of mind" to the love ones.

very slow to wifi upload the video back to your phone, The ios app is a pos. it won't let you connect to cameras after first connection. It demands GPS detail location. Has some annoying message that pops on about driving for too long went in park or a drive thru which can not be turned off. Camera quality of video looks good, just crappy ways to get at the video with out ejecting the SD Card, defeats the purpose of the purchase. What it needs is wifi client abilities and functionality to auto upload content via a cars wifi hotspot for the critical videos to a connection to one drive or google drive. I have yet to see any wifi cameras do this. There is an unsecured webserver on the camera ip when connected with your laptop or say a PI. Looks like you could write something to nearly auto upload video that way. Wifi is active for anyone to connect to while camera is on. Only way to update wifi password is using the pos app. You will want to update password asap if your camera power is left on after car stop as any one could connect and delete all the videos from web server they run.

The camera is lightweight, comes with everything you need to install it correctly (choose where you want to put the sticky pad before removing the plastic slip) and of course it has a very long cord to help hide it. The camera does get exceptionally hot when in use which was concerning, but it’s normal. The camera will constantly record and simply loop over old recordings so if something happens, make sure you pull it that day. Using your phone to view recordings isn’t exactly convenient, the videos would take forever to load or eventually crash the app. I’m using an iPhone XR. Sadly when you would upload the videos to your computer, you can’t read license plates...and that is concerning. The audio when recorded is accurate and clean. At the end of the day, the quality of the footage and ease of use of the Yi Dashcam app make this dash cam average. In 2020, I would expect a better picture for this camera, especially when the advertisements make this camera sound to be amazing at night time. I was disappointed.

I finally got around to installing this after having lying around for months. I kept putting it off because installation is a pain in the butt. Once I got around to it though it wasn't as bad as I expected. Do yourself a favor before purchase to determine if you will be able to run the wire under the headliner where it meets the windshield and be able to route it to whereever your cigarette lighter outlet is. One thing I really don't like about it is their logo is imposed on ever video in the upper left corner. I have not found any setting to remove that. The image quality is decent, is turns on and off with my car and generally does what it says it will do. So far, I've not had any incidents in which I needed video for police but it will certainly come in handy if I do.

I spent a few days trying to decide what the best image for the lowest price would be. I bit the bullet and order this. It only records when the vehicle is on and there is no battery in this unit. The image quality during the day and at night is really good for this being under $100. The app is pretty handy for saving images or videos directly to your phone without having to pull out the SD card. I would buy a 2nd one for my other vehicle. So far it has lasted through the 90+ degree days of summer we have had, and hasn't fallen off the window as others have stated, but only time will tell if it can handle the winter months too.

Good dash cam, wifi works well and is responsive. Most of my driving has been done during the day time but the picture is great. My old dash cam died because the battery would no longer hold a charge and it kept ruining SD cards. This one has a super capacitor so it should last a lot longer

Easy to set up, stays pretty secure on the window and takes pretty good video. The 32gb card was a nice addition and created great value with the overall price I paid.

I got this dash cam for my daughter to put in her car. I was going to give her mine and take this one but this one has more bells and whistles than mine and since she is a less experienced driver I thought it is best to put in her vehicle. It is extremely helpful as it has the crash notice if an accident is about to occur. It also has night vision which most don't unless you specifically look for it when you are in the market. I feel much more confident this will not only help if an accident occurs but it also makes her drive safer since she knows this is recording her driving habits! I love how Best Buy has a variety of items to choose from when you are shopping for a specific item!

The dash cam was easy to setup and pairing it with your app/phone isn't hard at all. I kept the dash cam to try out for almost a month. I love it except that the video quality is not that great. For example, when I took a snapshot of the vehicle in front of me, the license plate is blurry. If something was to happen and I needed the license plate information, it's not that useful. I don't know if this is the case with all dash cams.

Have no complaints, the cam is nice and clear, even in dark conditions. App works great. The only option I would like is a gps so the speed is indicated on the unit but that option is understandably on higher end units that cost much more.

Good Option and comes with a 32 GB microSD card. But never able to the driver assistance system activated and letter realized that additional accessories are needed to get it activated. Otherwise if just to have a decent good quality dashcam with nightscape then this is a good one.

Very small. Adheres nicely to windshield underneath mirror. Easy setup. Good quality video.

This Dash cam is so good. The quality during the day and at night is top tier. The wide angle captures almost everything on the road. The app is easy to use so I can easily download any video that was recently recorded. When recording, the d.c. records video in increments of about 2 to 3 minutes which makes it easier to save the video you need. Now the reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is because the part that sticks to the windshield has fallen a few times. It only happens whenever it gets real hot. Other than that it is a great D.C and again I am very happy with this purchase.

Great dash cam. Easy set up. Only “bad” thing is that I guess you have to have the camera nearby and on to access the app. Great quality, great picture! Would definitely invest in another.

Placed this little puppy behind the mirror and never notice that it's on. There is a little light that lets me know it's recording but it's not a glaring light similar to what the GPS puts out. I have not taken the flash drive out of the cam, I have reviewed footage on the cam small screen just to make sure it's recording. Got it on sale and have used it for a month of driving. I have a Wrangler and my summers are hot with interior vehicle heat in Louisiana hitting at 130 per day inside my Jeep. I also use a thermometer to tell me how hot the interior is. This mounting device has not fallen off of my hot windshield. Visually, I do get some small section of my Jeep hood. I also did not hide the wires, I placed the sizeable roll of wire into my glove box. I'll deal with it in the winter. Hey, directions are not in Google translation, they are clear and concise. It hides very well and starts recording and stops recording when the engine is on and turned off. Someone asked if it can be used in the house, possibly. I have a plug receptacle that allows plugged devices to be operated on a 110 household voltage. The camera came on and that was my first recording. So, yes, with the right plug adapter, it will work but how good, who knows? It worked for me and might be a hotel backup.

So once you set up this dash Cam it will link with your cell phone and record without using any data it uses your WiFi to WiFi while driving for full time recording. Picture quality is the one best item

I love this camera. The picture is perfect and it’s so easy to use. The only downfall is that I can’t get any of the clips to download to my phone. Other than that it’s great. I keep it turned on while I’m at home because you can watch it through the app if your close enough.
