This hood can be installed onto the wall or underneath the soffit or cabinet only. The hood must be secured to vertical wall studs or to studs in a soffit, as it must have adequate structural support. For full details, see the Installation Instructions starting on page 9 of the Owner’s Manual (which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the UVW8304SPSS Best Buy product page).
