• A:Answer This hood can be installed onto the wall or underneath the soffit or cabinet only. The hood must be secured to vertical wall studs or to studs in a soffit, as it must have adequate structural support. For full details, see the Installation Instructions starting on page 9 of the Owner’s Manual (which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the UVW8304SPSS Best Buy product page).

Q: QuestionCan the max CFM be reduced to 400 to meet make-up air requirements? Broan has that option, calls it "Code Ready".

• A:Answer Hi - good news! This product comes equipped with a simple installation feature that limits maximum CFM levels in order to comply with certain local codes or regulations. By design, the maximum blower speed is greater than 400 CFM. For local codes requiring reduced CFM, the unit can be modified to Max 390 CFM Boost. To learn more, see the Make Up Air Technology section on page 22 of the manual. The manual can be viewed in the Features section of the Best Buy product page. • A:Answer This is a very nice Hood. Yes it can be installed under cabinet. Read all the instructions and make sure you nave your tools. We found the template was off in size and possession of a couple of the screw holes. Measurements looked good until compared to the Hood. Also have the wiring clamp on hand. We like how quiet it is. Also the eight inch exhaust moves a lot of air.
