Q: can I get my old range hood removed and new one installed by best buy?
A: For a price. We put ours in and it doesn't work. I have to wait another week to see if the tech can get it to work.
Q: What is the depth at the top of the hood? Assuming the bottom is 20”

Q: Do I need an electrical outlet for this range hood or is it hard wired?

A: Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us. It would not be unusual for some air to be exhausted from the top grill. This is likely excess heat that's generated by the internal components when in operation. If the outdoor air flow is good when the vent hood is turned on, then the installation is fine. Q: How are the screen filters cleaned?
A: Hello, thank you for asking this great question! The metal grease filter is dishwasher-safe and should be cleaned every six months, or as needed. To clean, swish the filter in hot soapy water and rinse in clean water, or you can use your dishwasher. Abrasive cleansers are not recommended. We hope this helps; all the best – Matthew@GEA

Great and affordable hood!
We bought this to replace a microwave/ventilation combo because we cook so much and needed a way to remove odors. Seemingly, this is a simple task, and we didn't want to pay an exorbitant amount for a vent hood. This seemed to be a good pick with a higher CFM than the usual and it looked great in photos. When we got it home, we had our handyman install it and install a duct system going through our cabinets. He didn't seem to have any trouble installing it. Overall, we're very happy with the lighting and the ventilation seems more than powerful. Additionally, on the low setting, the vent hood isn't noisy, which is a nice perk to be able to modulate that. We're looking forward to buying a stove with chef connect to have it sync as well.

Outstanding Range Hood!
We purchased this hood to match the GE - Profile Series 6.7 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Double Oven Gas Convection Range. We love the strength of the vents - much stronger than an over the range microwave. The fan has three speeds and is stronger than our previous GE Profile range hood that we replaced. We also really love the Chef Connect feature. This allows the hood to connect to the stove or, to other appliances (that have Chef connect) in the kitchen. When we turn on the stove, the lights illuminate in the hood. The lights dampen off in a muted and really sophisticated manner when the stove is no longer in use. We love it!

Nice vent hood
Looks good and works great. We have had it for 6 mos with no problems.
