This modem is worth every dollar, if you use and take advantage of the advanced configuring via online ip settings, the product created the back bone to my home network to stay anonymous hidden and increased my 300mb/s isp standard to 1450mb/s well with the add on net gear nighthawk r8000 router, cat 7 gold plated Ethernet cables, and the Apple AirPort Extreme router, I have to say this item is amazing!!!

Everything was very convenient when purchasing this device SBG 6782 from the start get-go. Sales people from Best Buy take care of me. Got home installed it, called my provider, gave them my modem router number, and I started using my fast speed wireless. Remember that your provider would be the one you need to talk to if there's any issues with the wires in your home not the product help. The product was very pricey but it will save you from headache, repairs, or replacement in the future.

Easy to set up. Provides strong wireless signal throughout the house. Works well with wireless printers and devices like Pogo Plug and Backup hard drives. We are running 10 devices on this Modem/Router.

I bought this unit to replace a Motorola Surfboard 6141 and a Netgear WNDR3400. Installation was simple--plug in the unit, hook up the cables, insert a cd, follow the on screen prompts and call my cable company to give them the numbers they needed to activate the unit in their system. Down load speed is tick faster than before and the unit has not dropped the signal since installation. The price seems high but when your add up the price of a good modem and router together it is not overly expensive. I'm satisfied with my purchase and the price that I paid for the unit.

I got this unit as an upgrade for my home network. It is both modem and router in one box which is a little bit bulky but all the pros out weight that. Pros - the setup was super easy, no signal loss, stable strong signal, my speed with Cox went up from 25 to 50 Mbps wireless with the same plan, range is sufficient for large house. I am happy with this product.
Con's - bulky

This product is great. The cable issues are with bandwitdh. Bandwidth gets taken to it knees to where I have none. This thing flies Monday through Friday at 55 MBPS Download both wired and wireless. Upload is around 11 to 17 MBPS. Sunday night my Bandwidth dries up to less than 400 KBPS. Often to less than that to where I'm blocked out of the internet. They send a tech out to fix it and I'm told nothing is wrong. If you have comcast please pay the extra money for the protection plan. Comcast has fried 4 of my modems. 2 of which I was covered by the Best Buy plan. Or you can pay comcast $10 or more per month rental. If you do that contact Comcast every year to find out which lastest modem that they have available and have them upgrade it every year to 2 years. Once again this product is absolutely amazing. 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz bands wireless. B,G,N, and AC. Range on coverage is a little more than typical G and N routers. Heat from modem is a lot less that the previous model. Physical Sizeof the modem is 1 and half times bigger. Have had it less than a month and comcast has already sent out a tech to tell me nothing is wrong. I was block totally from the internet. Down for a week because of Comcast scheduling issues. Sounds to me that someone is redistributing bandwidth and forgot to reset the network node back to normal. I am NOT A COMCAST FAN.

Bought this to replace 7+year old router and also to get rid of cable company rental of a modem. BB sales person showed us this unit and other types/brands. This one seemed to be perfect fit for our needs & it is. Only thing I would like to point out is that when you change from using a rented modem, you will need to notify company you are renting from (such as a cable company) and give them some specific numeric information associated with the unit in order for this unit to work with your Internet service provider. It's not just a simple matter of unplugging your old router and modem and plugging/attaching this to your Internet connection and computer. Hope this helps future customers of this product. I had to call the company that makes this unit and they were extrememly helpful in explaining what needed to happen in order for this to get connected with our Internet service provider. Internet speed has increased greatly since switching to this router/modem combination unit. It's nice to just have one device now instead of two and no more rental fee for a modem is an added bonus.

Obviously, there are plenty of modems, routers, network switches, wireless access points, etc. that will do the job. In fact, the hardest part of buying one of these is wading through the rows of boxes on the shelf to figure out the right one. Well, I didn't test everything on the shelf, but I did decide on this one. It connected and set up easily. It works flawlessly, transmits the signal to the distance advertised, even though the walls of a metal building. I'm happy about the purchase and the performance since I installed it. I'm confident that you will be too.

I did not give this a 5 because it does not have USB to connect a network backup drive. It does have gigabit ethernet port so you could easily attach NAS if you like but it is handy to be able to plug in a 1TB USB drive (which are super cheap these days) just for storage on your network. Other than that, the setup was easy. The control of the networking features is easy to use. I have had it about a month and no problems with the performance or coverage from anywhere in my house. But on their box they do tout the product as 3 products in 1 but most good routers do include a USB connector. That being said, I paid less for this than the router and separate cable modem that I was going to purchase before I found this on the shelf.

Device was easy to set up and works well. It is a rather large unit. Wireless speed and connection is very good for streaming video. The range is adequate for a smaller home/office but not particularly impressive. Overall, very satisfied.

My Router died and I say this combo device and the price had just lowered so I got one. Very easy to install. No software on the PC to load. You just connect something to the internet and it asks for the password and you are connected.
I do need to find some documentation for this device because there must be a limit to how many internet connections you can have. When you exceed that limit, it starts disconnecting other devices and this is not a good thing because the first to go was my PC connection.
My Grandkids and Daughter showed up with their 3 I-Phones and 1 I-Pad and that's what disconnected me. There has to be a way to specify the importance of connection order to make it work right. And their is no guest connections available.
But it is very fast and my I-Pad clicks along at 44 MBS.

Purchased this all in one modem in an effort to combine functions. This modem nicely accomplishes that purpose. It was easy to use, intuitive to setup and has functioned flawlessly since initially put on-line. Please note that the password for the modem is not as listed in the manual. The user name is admin (correct) and the default password motorola (not password).
It is a rather large unit and needs extra space limiting where you might locate it. It does not have a USB connection to enable plug and play connection of your printer or hard drive. This is perhaps the biggest shortcoming. All in all a good modem and I am happy for the acquisition.

I've only had this product for about a month but so far so good! The connection to my household electronics is stable and consistent except for my Playstation 4. Sometimes the connection drops and has a hard time re-connecting. I'm not sure if it's the Playstation or the Router but it does happen from time to time (i.e. No Hardwire). But other than that it is fast, reliable, and efficient. By the way, I have Xfinity.

This is now my 3rd modem, and my second gateway and I have noticed a huge difference in terms of speed and range. The way my house is set up, I still required a booster to get the signal to my office (upstairs right corner, while my modem is downstairs left corner), but I'm not seeing buffering and can use multiple devices at once without a problem.

i scrapped my WD router and my old Cisco modem for this new product. i have to say I was amazed how well it performs. Compared to my old unit which had both 2.4g and 5g wifi channel this new modem/router combo has tripled my throughput. What they advertise on the box is true, it is super fast. I've been using it now for over a month and not a single glitch or hickup. My old setup was dropping out daily and I was blaming my internet provider. All this time it was the poor modem and router. Buy this unit and end all your misery, it works great!
