I was using and iPad and a MacBook air to complete my graduate school work. I would hand-write my notes on the iPad, and I would use my Air to run programs like Microsoft Office, SPSS, and I had to wait until I got home to use E-Prime on my Windows desktop. With the SP8, I don't need to carry around two devices, and I don't need to wait until I'm home to use E-Prime. I can handwrite my notes on the surface, then flip it up and turn it into a full computer when I need to run programs, something my iPad could not do. It serves the purpose of all three devices that I work on, all in one. It is blazing fast, Windows 11 is smooth and responsive. The 120hz screen is excellent, and I'm saying that as someone who runs a 240hz screen on their desktop. The build quality is top-notch, and the fact that I can swap the SSD if I want to expand storage is fantastic. Don't buy this if you just want a normal laptop, because it isn't really for your lap. I use it as a tablet when I'm on the couch or in bed, and I type on-screen. I also put the stand up and use it to play Hollow Knight occasionally. No, you can't really open it with one hand, which some people really care about. I don't, I always have two hands and am fully capable of using both of them to open the stand and convert it to the typing-mode. The stand is rigid and well built, and I have no fears of any part of this device breaking. The surface pen slim 2 is fantastic. Not as nice as the Apple pencil when it comes to build quality, but it has more functionality and the erasing feature is better in my opinion. I don't draw with it, I write pages upon pages of notes by hand because it is a better way to encode memories than typing, and it allows for quick drawing of diagrams, flow charts, etc... This replaced two, almost three devices for me (four if you count the fact that this runs my favorite games better than my Nintendo Switch did), is fun for casual gaming, is built very nicely, and has good IO. I have no complaints about this. If your needs are met by this type of device, then this one is the perfect option in my opinion.

A powerful tablet with hardly any limitation caused by OS or fascists business practices that forcing consumers to give up possession of their data to the companies cloud. Being a windows device there is no learning curve, browser incompatibility issues with websites or hunt for a compatible app for work. Yes if this came out at the same time ios & android tablets came out there's no contest. The surface pro started off good & keeps getting better, the 7th gen is no exception. A more solid feel the now metal stand has the range of motion of a studio model. The larger screen is sharp clear with excellent touch response although the keyboard cover isn't necessary it helps protect the screen & makes typing this much easier & quicker. Coming with window 11 maybe of some concern but so far it's behaving like windows 10 maybe a bit better since tablet mode & laptop mode are now better integrated. I also found tools from win10 pro in win11 home so need to upgrade yay. Battery life is pretty good at 68% after watching videos all day & typing this charge time is also pretty good. The loss of the microSD slot is unfortunate & the loss of at least one usb 3.0 is a what are they thinking moment since I have yet to see a type c thumb drive. The ssd is upgradable but for extra storage not as easy to install or find as memory cards & thumb drives.

I've owned 2 Surface Pro models and 2 Surface Laptop models prior to this one, and the Surface Pro 8 is my favorite out of all of them. The bezels are finally smaller, the 120hz screen is noticeably more responsive, and the performance is outstanding. The price is a high but I think it's worth it.

I bought this for portability as I already have a desktop. Definitely well worth the money. I purchased the series 8 as I wasn’t really needing the series 9. Great speed with 16GB RAM. Decent storage with I believe 512GB. It appears it’s no longer in stock with the core I have, not sure why though. Definitely a good purchase and would recommend to anyone needing a portable windows computer!

This is a great laptop. Having the tablet ability makes this perfect for quick notes, images and info on the go. It’s great to have an all in one product limiting how much tech I need to drag around.

Powerful, Compact, and Lightweight. My only critique is that the keyboard and stylus are additional purchases. I believe this is so you can go from one version to the next without additional costs but after a few iterations, these additional items typically need an upgrade too. Still giving it 5-stars because it ROCKS!!!

Best portable machine I've owned. Can't say enough great things about this. Battery life is okay but super fast and pair with the Surface X Pro keyboard to avoid unnecessary battery drain. Also updated the NVME to a PCIe 4.0, from the 3.0 and noticeable speed improvements.

I purchased this in Sep 2022. It has worked flawless with no even one issue. Litghtly used for email, access work financing tools, quickbooks, office 365 online...Mostly no problem at all.

I'm a fan of the surface pro and have had one for 5 years. Still works. I just needed an upgrade. It is the perfect computer especially if you need to travel for meetings. Excellent size for working on a crowed plane. Doesn't overwhelm a conference table. While I don't do a lot of multitasking I do recommend 16gb memory as the minimum. If you need to save some money, stick with the 256 SSD. More than enough storage. Greater needs, use the cloud. I did get the pen, don't use it as much as I could. Very nice to have if you have the money to spend. Finally, I did get the extended geek warranty. This is the only product that I think it is cost effective.

My surface pro has been working flawlessly, there have been occasional instances when the Bluetooth and webam don't work, but that may be a software issue. Restarting the machine solves the problem. For the price, I think Microsoft should include the pen and keyboard, other than that, this is a multi-task beast. I have many tabs on chrome open, spotify, word documents, excel, this thing still breezes through everything I throw at it.

This is simply the best computer I have evet had. I had an older version and I loved it so I had to get the new version. Great speed, graphics, lots of storage, touch screen, lots of function, no lagging and very easy to use.

Very powerful tablet. I have wanted a single device for travel and use in bed and around the house but haven't found a single device to fit all my needs. The Samsung Galaxy Tablet is awesome for reading, office, and photos, but can't run Windows-specific apps or 3d printer slicer and modeling software. With the addition of android apps via Amazon Appstore (and sideloading), I am finally able to do all of those things on one device. I initially bought a Surface Pro X, which is thinner and lighter, but there were many things the ARM processor struggled with or wouldn't run, this i7 handles everything I've thrown at it. including Android Apps without struggling.

I love my Microsoft Surface Pro 8- Quick response, no issues. Windows 11 took a bit to get used to. But with everything else you become acclimated fairly quickly. Would recommend.

My old Surface Pro was not holding a charge. Switched to a MacBook but I was always trying to touch the screen. I love my Apple phones and iPads but I’m a windows person and love my Surface Pro. The touch screen is the difference maker for me.

This has a nice 13" screen size but is much heavier if you compare it to an iPad. The touchscreen is much easier to navigate than with a mouse. The keyboard and trackpad are easy to use. The kickstand is a nice addition.
