great intro to rise against

For fans of Bad Religion
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This album was a great surprise for me, seeing as The Sufferer and the Witness would be hard to top in my opinion. The guys of Rise Against have managed to put out another phenomenal release, with plenty of politics and fast music. Songs such as "Collapse (Post Amerika)" and "Kotov Syndrome" have a very Bad Religion-feel to them, while "The Dirt Whispered" reveals Tim's melodic sensibilities. "Hero of War" makes for a compelling acoustic track, which tells a story about the war in Iraq from the perspective of a soldier. All in all, this album is a great choice, and while it can get a bit repetitive at times, for the most part it is a lot of fun.
