    Had this for about 3 years now good product but out of no where the screen gave out kept turning off on its own still enjoyed the time I had

    Radio works fine. They broke my center console installing Radio. Job was so bad i ask them how to remove parts so i could re aline parts. Terrible.

    Better than Toyota own radio, however , not wireless CarPlay. You have to plug into usb. No volume control except arrows makes it hard to turn up and down while driving.

    Pros: 1. Sound quality - hugely improved the audio from the manufacturer's installed head unit. 2. CarPlay and Android Auto works as expected. Cons: 1. The "iPod" label is misleading. This radio does not really read and play iPods. The very reason I picked this model is because I wanted to be able to connect and play my iPod classic. But no, it doesn't. The "iPod" app is the Apple Music app on your iPhone. DO NOT GET THIS HEAD UNIT IF YOU'RE AFTER PLAYING IPOD. 2. UI could do better. 3. Physical buttons would have been better than capacitive ones.

    The product was great while it lasted. I had it installed with a back up camera. First the camera stopped but could just be the camera. Then I started having issues about a year after owning it. From white screen with lines, frozen screens, eventually CarPlay stopped working with the cable. Then the Bluetooth had to be repaired every time. I did have the geek squad protection so I got my money back. Definitely recommend getting the warranty. When it works it’s great. CarPlay and Android auto is nice and the audio was better than my original stereo.

    It was a decent deal for the price, but honestly, it’s not a great radio overall. The volume buttons are awkward to use, especially while driving. Also, when the sun hits the screen, the glare makes it tough to see anything. Gets the job done, but not impressed.

    This radio was professionally installed and worked amazing at first. But after 6 months it started glitching or would just completely shut off. This started happening more frequently after a while to the point that I had to have it removed. The company would not get back to me to replace even though it was still under warranty. I would recommend you go with something else, this is not worth the money or trouble.

    This radio was not as expected. It does not show icons as advertised when plugged into my phone. I felt like this radio was kind of pushed on us opposed other options.

    Pioneer - 6.8" – Multimedia Digital Media Receiver

    Bought Pioneer - 6.8" – Multimedia Digital Media Receiver online as an open box "excellent" condition. Which according to best buy is suppose to have all original packaged items with no damage. 1st receiver they sent was missing the wiring harness, etc lol can't install without that. Customer service was 5 stars the best and got me the second receiver shipped/received in 2 days just sucks that the "excellent" condition open box was damaged with scratches on the touch screen. Customer service again 5 stars got me a full refund. You can get great deals with open box items just make sure to buy in-store so you can open and look over the item before committing to purchasing.

    Pioneer DMH-1770NEX--Good But Not For All

    Pioneer makes good stuff. This particular unit is probably excellent for many users. However, if you really like radio, the FM sensitivity is in the back of the pack of similarly priced units (even their high priced used are in the same place), which I suspect is because many folks get their audio entertainment in other places. Also, to use an iPhone for CarPlay or your Android phone, it's wired only. If these issues don't concern you, then it's a good buy. If they do, look elsewhere.

    In good condition, but the CarPlay still has issues playing the Apple CarPlay 70% of the time I’m driving, which is the whole reason why I bought the electronic.

    Bought this to upgrade my 2008 Honda Element and had a local shop install it for me. Overall it works as advertised, giving it 3 stars because the USB-A extension cord that is provided with the unit - doesn't always work properly when I connect my phone. Also, the auto-dim for day and night driving doesn't work - not sure why, but it just doesn't work. I'm forced to manually change EVERYTIME I drive, super annoying. The screen is also barebones, and the options/settings are light. But you get what you pay for and it's working well enough for my needs.

    I bought a used unit, I had to return it because it didn’t have a aux port adapter included. When they sold it they said it did, but I think that’s was just not noticed as missing. Happens sometimes with used units ig. Overall the unit itself though was pretty good. Decently bright, had a capacitive touch screen, not one of those squishy resistive screens.

    It’s a decent head unit however the CarPlay is wired. So for me it was the reason I returned the unit.

      You are correct, the DMH-1770NEX does not support Wireless Apple CarPlay or Wireless Android Auto. You would want to consider the DMH-W2770NEX, DMH-W3000NEX, or the DMH-W3050NEX. PUSATechAnswers

    We purchased in April of 2022 for our 2012 Toyota Corolla. It was a definite upgrade over the stock radio. The biggest drawback is the limited connectivity options. Additionaly, while Apple Carplay works on this unit Android Auto does not, the issue is the USB port is not compatible. For the money this should have a USB 3.0 port or wireless Apple Carplay/ Android Auto
