This mini pc is fast and saves a lot of space. I really like the display port
Purchased as an underdesk PC item. Works very well. Limited gaming abilities, but works for anything not AAA

Overall, this Acer Revo Box AI mini PC is an awesome small productivity / multi-media PC - and in today’s world of ever increasing prices for PC components, it’s actually a reasonably priced one too (at least as of this writing). But is it right for you? Read on to find out! Physically, this is a very small PC at just over 5” x 5” and just UNDER 2” tall. Yet you get a good bit of PC in that tiny footprint, including a 6 core / 12 thread CPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD. While this is no gaming PC, you do get a Radeon 840M integrated GPU (iGPU / onboard graphics) and a 50 TOPs NPU for onboard AI acceleration. All of that is plenty of power for your day to day productivity and household work - and reasonable multimedia work / editing as well. In a pinch, you can certainly play older or casual games (I would not consider this a gaming PC or buy it for that purpose). Of course you also get Windows 11 so your favorite Windows applications should work just fine. Port-wise, you get a large collection of connectivity, especially for the size. On the front you get a full-function USB 4 USB-C port (you can even power this PC using the USB 4 port - meaning you can run the PC with just 1 cable if you have a dock that gives you power/video/data connectivity), 2x 10Gbps USB-A ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the back, you get 2 more 10Gbps USB-A ports, 2x 2.5Gbe LAN/ethernet ports, DisplayPort AND HDMI (so you get three display connections if you also use the USB-C port on the front) and a DC/barrel jack for power. The interesting thing is inside - unlike many small PCs, you actually do get some room to expand. You can replace the existing M.2 NVMe SSD OR add a second SSD in the open slot. There’s also an additional RAM slot (you can add a second stick OR replace / upgrade the existing one to upgrade the RAM) which is welcome. In day to day use, the PC is quick to start up and handles normal daily tasks like web browsing or office work with ease. You can play back media equally easily and even do some photo (or light video) editing or coding. Even local AI is somewhat possible with 50 TOPs on the NPU. And it’s all done mostly quietly with the fan only spinning up under the highest loads. So if you could use a tiny PC for your day to day, this Acer is a great option. Give it a try today!

The Revo Box isn't likely to turn many heads when it comes to specs - which is kind of the whole point. Mini PCs generally aren't chasing after benchmarks or high frame rates. Instead they're quietly running kiosks, point of sale terminals, or acting as a word processor. Or, in my case, hosting a VM for home automation and turning my 65" TV into a teleconferencing rig. And so far I have to say there's a lot to recommend it. While the box may be small, it makes very good use of what space it has. There's a pretty good assortment of ports on the front and back, easily enough for all the basic peripherals plus some extra accessories. You also get dual NICs, WiFi, three display outputs, and an integrated fingerprint reader. Getting it set up in my ersatz server rack only took me a few minutes and resulted in a much more attractive final result than I'd been expecting. And as this version of the Revo Box is just a bit more beefy than most mini PCs I had no issue giving up some system resources for the VM without compromising performance in Windows. It runs quiet enough that it doesn't contribute to the noise level in the room, and seems to have no issues operating in a semi-enclosed space for prolonged periods either. Truthfully I could see a college or high school student in a budget daily driving this as their main computer. Really my only complaint is that the fingerprint reader is a nice touch, but may be a little too close to the power button for it's own good. If you plan to mount it behind a screen with the included VESA bracket I feel like you're just asking to end up accidentally rebooting the machine trying to log in.

Great system. Our only disappointment is the system has no speakers.

I've been recently looking for a mini PC again since my last one was given to my daughter as her Homelab sandbox. With it, she has taken to learning about Virtualization, Docker, and Proxies. This put me on a search for a replacement system. I've had Acer products in the past, so I was open to exploring this Acer Revo Box. In the box, you get the Revo Box Mini PC Desktop and its power supply. There is a small mounting plate which should work well if you wish to mount this to the back of a monitor with VESA mounting holes. Then you get the requisite paper notices and that's it. The Revo Box itself measures just a little over 5 inches x 5 inches and just under 2 inches tall. On the front, you have a power button, an indicator light, a headphone jack, USB-C and two USB-A ports. One the back, two more USB-A ports, a Display Port, an HDMI port, dual 2.5 Gbps network ports, the power port (barrel connector) and the Kensington lock port. Strangely, there is a power button and indicator light on the top of the Revo Box as well. Honestly, I would just get rid of that top power button. Inside, underneath a fan and cooling plate, there are two NVMe slots and two RAM slots, one of each is occupied by the 512 GB storage and 16 GB of DDR5 memory respectively. Unlike my previous mini PC, this Revo Box does not have any extra space nor a port for a 2.5 inch SATA drive. The processor on this Revo Box is an AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 which was introduced Q1 of 2026. It has 6 cores and 12 threads. This means it has an integrated Radeon 840M GPU with 50 TOPS Neural Processing Unit. After running some benchmarks, the setup isn't going to win any speed contests. Running Unigine Benchmarks, I was getting 25 fps at 1920x1080 with High settings. I accidentally ran the same benchmarks at 4K and was getting 5 fps. The included 512 GB storage was getting somewhere in the 3500 Mbps read and 2600 Mbps write. The CPU benchmarks place this just under an i5-12400. Booting up to Windows was quick and setup went better than my last Mini PC. This time I knew to skip out on the Windows Updates during the setup process. After getting into Windows, I did kick off the Windows Update. This allowed me to do some exploration in the foreground while the updates were running in the background. Specs aside, this is a great machine for productivity. It will handle emails, streaming movies, documents, web browsing and just barely spin up its fan. With the 50 TOPS NPU, CoPilot+ will conduct local tasks very smoothly. This Revo Box would be a perfect match as a home network Firewall device with its Dual 2.5 Gbps LAN ports. Or if I didn't have my own Homelab server, this is a great device to start a Homelab with. It has plenty of CPU power, 16 GB of DDR5 RAM is a definite plus and the expandability is great for when prices for memory come down. Otherwise, it would be a great Windows machine that doesn't take up very much space yet is still quite a capable machine.

The Acer Revo Box AI Mini PC is a fantastic device that boasts a combination of portability and upgrade ability. This little gem is perfect for the casual user and even the power user as well. One of the standout features is the upgradeability. It comes with 16gb of ram, ensuring that your system remains lightning fast after adding more applications and files. You can add an additional NVME drive. The included NVME is 512gb which is ample for the operating system, personal files and applications. The dedicated 4gb graphics card gives the unit snappy performance graphics and will provide smooth visuals for gaming and multimedia consumption. This box is perfect for small areas students and areas with limited space. The fingerprint reader allows for secure log in and a extra layer of security. It recognizes the finger print quickley. In closing those of you in the market for a compact power PC that runs quite I highly recommend the Acer Revo Box AI Mini PC is worth considering.

This is a great little Mini PC. While Acer ships it with Windows 11, but honestly why would you use this little package as a PC. It works as a Windows 11 PC ok, and hooked up to a TV it can be used a light gaming machine, or even doing some light LLM work. But if you really want to use this, I recommend doing something like Proxmox on there. Proxmox installed faster then Microsoft Windows 11, even including the time it took me to download Proxmox and copy it to a USB stick. So that is what I did. As a Proxmox virtualization server its great. I can easily install Lemonade Server, and pass along all the fun AI pieces such as the NPU and iGPU. It hurts a bit due to having one stick of DDR5, but with the cost of DIY parts its understandable. Getting to the RAM/secondary M.2 slot was fairly easy, just four screws and just move the fan over the RAM/M.2 and you have access to add another DDR5 so-dimm. The fact it has two 2.5 Gbps ports and wireless you could turn it into a router without any issues and have all the horse power to run ad-blocking DNS, VPN and a few other things. So this is definitely a fun little project PC and I love it, works great, uses a reasonable amount of power and the CPU is more then powerful enough to use for various homelab projects. Highly recommended.

It seems every product on the planet is AI this or AI that now. So I’m skeptical most of the time. Plus, I, like so many others, am worried about the impact the hyper scale data centers will and are having on the planet, the communities they are in or near, the impact on the economy both nationally & locally, and so on; so I worry about not contributing to the issue by making it worse even just a tiny bit. That said this box usages very little power, and so I know that by utilizing it versus my 1000+ watt desktop computer I know I am knocking my power consumption down to a small fraction of what it previously was. HUGE plus in my book since it is saving us money each month. Initial Impressions & Setup Upon unboxing the Revo Box I initially noticed how sleek, and compact it is. That said it doesn’t feel cheap or like it will break if I just breathe on it. It strikes a perfect balance between a small form factor & still having everything I need for my use case which is for work, and general browsing. Setting up the Revo Box was a breeze. Well as much of a breeze as Microsoft will allow Windows 11 setup to be. Rating: 5/5 Everyday Usage We put the Revo Box AI through its passes by my working from it for a week straight for my day job, plus doing some different home server type tasks at night. I’ll be focusing on the daily usage here with my take on its server capabilities in the next section. For me this thing did everything I could have asked. I routinely run two different Firefox profiles with 10-20 tabs per windows with at least 2 windows per profile. So I have at least 40 tabs and up to 80 tabs open in Firefox at any given time. Most of those are on my work profile but sometimes, when coding or doing server maintenance it’ll be more Home/Personal tabs heavy than it is work heavy. This box didn’t even break a sweat when doing everything I threw at it. I really like this mini PC and it is a nice throwback for me to have an Acer again. My first PC was an Acer that was my uncle’s and it was given to me after he passed away. Makes me miss him & my dad even more each day. I am insanely happy with the Revo Box AI for being able to handle my work tasks with ease! Rating: 5/5 Server Usage After work I would then move to booting up Linux on the Revo Box AI. Man even as good as this box is with handling Windows 11, it absolutely dominated Linux. I was using Ubuntu and my oh my did this thing just absolutely demolish anything I threw at it in Ubuntu too. Containers? No problem. Plex? Emby? It did it all with 0 issues. I let the Revo Box AI run the containers and my NAS was the home of the media. It did insanely well with everything I threw at it. I’ll be moving to Proxmox most likely at some point soon. I bet it’ll be even better since it don’t have to run a GUI. I can’t wait to see how it does with Proxmox and running all the containers I will need it to run (Emby, Plex, Home Assistant, Tailscale, AdGuard/PiHole, etc.). I cannot say enough great things about the Revo Box AI. Rating: 5/5 Conclusion The Acer Revo Box AI has done anything & everything I have asked of it. From Windows 11 to Linux it has been an absolute beast and I wish I had more of them to try to run them as a cluster. I bet it would be even better that way too. Hopefully one day I can! But if you need a very capable box for your general productivity and everyday usage then this mini PC should definitely get a look from you. I haven’t been able to confirm the RAM and if it is upgradable yet but I truly hope it is because if it is then it’ll be an even bigger no brainer and I plan to crack it open to double check when I am back home after the holiday weekend. I don’t think you can go wrong with the Acer Revo Box AI-it’s an absolute beast! Overall Rating: 15/15

I’m genuinely impressed by how much performance Acer packed into such a small computer. The Revo Box feels incredibly fast and responsive, whether I’m multitasking, using AI-powered apps, or handling everyday productivity tasks. AI-driven workloads run smoothly, and the system stays quick even with several programs open at once, making it a great daily AI PC. It has also been surprisingly capable for light gaming. With reasonable settings, the games I’ve tried have run smoothly and looked great. Its compact size also makes it an excellent living room PC. It can sit neatly near a TV without adding clutter while providing plenty of power for streaming, browsing, light gaming, and other entertainment. I wouldn’t expect a mini PC this small to deliver such well-rounded performance. Whether it’s being used as a fast everyday computer, an AI workstation, or a versatile living room system, the Revo Box handles it all remarkably well. It packs a ton of power into a small box but with the versatility it brings, it is something incredibly special.
