A: You can set a schedule for your camera or have it always enabled. Via ring bridge and the app you create groups of devices. I have one with camera on one side of my garage and one without on the other. I also have a Ring lightbulb in the lantern next to my door. If either sensor detects motion it can turn both floods on and the single bulb. And the flood without camera can turn on the camera at the same time. What I am thinking I could do it get another bulb for inside the house and have it set to turn on when the motion sensor detects something and it could be a silent alert. That might get annoying but it is an option.
A: Yes, there are time intervals. With these (wired) it is fine to have a longer time set. Also, you can set it up to capture "stills", which helps in basically 24 hour recording.
Q: Will the ring flood light detect motion during daylight and start to record?
A: yes. You get a a motion alert day or night based on the area within your settings. Can put it in a snooze setting too.
A: Yes, with the app.Open the cam app and when you see the + govto the light and press it You can turn it on and off.
A: Yes, you can turn on or off and even set to dusk to dawn or set a timer.
Q: Does this Ring model have a voice alert, "You are bring recorded"? Thank you!
A: It actually says "Hi, you are currently being recorded." It repeats every time recording starts.
A: The lights are not effected by motion in the daylight and remain off. You can turn the lights on and off via the app, but I don’t think it is possible to turn off the lights with a wall switch without shutting off all the power to the system.
A: Hi JohnJohn. Good question. The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus security cam requires a hardwired connection and must be installed on a 4“ round UL-listed weatherproof electrical box. It does not have a battery backup option. We invite you to reach out to our Community if any additional information is needed regarding your question. The Ring Community is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another by sharing their feedback and experiences with each other. We are loving our Ring Camera/ Lights! The piece of mind they bring is priceless! We can check on things day & night. I do suggest getting the Ring plan so you can save and share recordings. We bought at Best Buy because we get the extra warranty with our club membership. The fact that it was on sale at a great price was awesome too! We installed ourselves because it's super simple but with the club, they'll install it for you. Win win!

I love it especially with the fact that I'll be able to sleep at night knowing if somebody's on my property or at my door. I also got a couple of family members to invest in getting the flood light monitor. I also love the fact that the light goes on as soon as I appear or anything appears on my property.
