Finally, instant on means instant on!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This bulb is a great replacement for incandescent and older CFL bulbs. It is a little pricey especially when you need 10 or more. I was leery to purchase this bulb at 1st because I have been burned by so-called "instant on" bulbs before. I was pleasantly surprised. Now I can go down to my man-cave (basement) and turn on the lights and see immediately. With my old CFL bulbs I had to turn on the lights, go back upstairs and fix a snack, and then I could actually see well enough to walk around. I would not hesitate to recommend this bulb to a friend

Insignia LED bulb for Home Can Lighting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These LEDs are still rather expensive, but if it does what it is supposed to by lasting 22 years, then I will be very happy. I did choose the warmer 2700 Kelvin temperature which has been exactly what was wanted. I believe that this product is dimmable, but my current wall switch is not. I am hoping to change this out to a dimmable solution. So far, so good with plenty of light for the surrounding area. The flood seems to be fine and not more of a spot like I have read in other reviews about similar bulbs.

Will Certainly Pay for Themselves at this Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a few of these bulbs so that I could install dimmer switches in my new home. They fit the recessed light fixtures just as any standard incandescent or CFL bulb would. I love the range of light these produce, but in some cases, I wish they could go just a little bit dimmer. LED bulbs still have a ways to go in terms of price, but these were some of the most inexpensive ones I could find compared to other places. I just wish Best Buy kept more in stock. I always seem to buy every bulb they have in the store at the time (which is normally around 6 bulbs).

Good Light...Let's See How Long It Lasts
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two of these bulbs on sale for a very good price vs. others I've seen at competitor stores. I haven't owned them long enough to be able to comment on their supposed longevity, but if the promise holds true, the higher price will easily pay for itself in no time. I've owned other CFL floodlights for my kitchen and I think their light is actually pretty good (better than these specific LEDs). But they've burned out a bit too fast given their higher price than ordinary bulbs, so here's hoping these LEDs will make the frequent purchase of those bulbs passe.

Finally a decent floodlight replacement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally an affordable replacement for a 65 watt flood that is as bright as the bulb it is replacing. I've got it in an up-light in the corner of the room. I had another led bulb in that fixture, but it didn't put out as much light as I like. This one lights up the corner and provides a nice indirect light for the whole room. It also has a good color to it. Many of the newer led bulbs have a greenish tint that is unnatural. This one provides a more natural daylight color. The only thing bad about it is that it too long for some of my ceiling fixtures - but for those I have to use the really short bulbs anyway. It's about the same size as the regular full sized indoor floodlights.

Light matches existing bulb in the hallway
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The light fit just right. It runs cooler, which should help with cooling bills. It gives out relatively the same amount of light as the bulb I replaced at the same relative color temperature. I could unscrew this bulb without having to turn it off and let it cool down. The lower wattage should lower my costs, especially since this bulb is on 100% of the time. These bulbs are EXPENSIVE, but they have been coming down in price fairly quickly. If they meet their life expectancy claims, they are already a great value.

Great LED flood
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had incandescent floods all over my house & wanted to replace them with a more energy efficient bulb. I didn't like the CFLs because of the coldness of the light they cast. These cast a much warmer color & really brightened up our rooms. My only complaint (and it is a minor one) is that because the base of the bulb is a little substantial, they sit a bit lower in the fixtures than the old bulbs. They aren't as low as other brands which hung so low they looked horrible, but the are low enough that I can no longer angle the bulbs in the fixtures.

Great bulbs, very bright. Seem cooler than rated.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially bought two to determine how good they are. Liked them enough I subsequently ordered four more. All are extremely bright, and the coverage is great since they are flood light type. I'd say the color scale is a bit cooler than specified, based on some Philips bulbs I've bought. The Philips are warmer. These are probably closer to 3200k instead of 2700k. I can tell at least visually. Anyhow, my wife approves, and she hates the ones rated cool ~ 6000k. Thanks!
