    Completely shocked and life changed

We went from a 65 Sony A80J OLED to this and the TCL is better. I honestly can’t believe it. After spending years with OLED I was convinced I would always need OLEDS in my home. Being generally unhappy with the performance of the X90K with a handful of dimming zones I was skeptical about this QM6K, but after carefully studying the performance of each TV the number reported from Rtings.com indicated that the QM6K was at least 2x better in quite a few places than my beloved A80J. And at a quarter of the cost I needed to see it for myself. I did, I barely needed to even change any settings something I’ve been used to doing with almost every Sony I’ve purchased over years. This is my first non Sony TV I’ve bought and kept. The short of it. The Q6MK was significantly brighter than my A80J in real life and I think even better than what was reported by rtings.com. I cant’t even believe the black levels I am seeing its basically OLED good or in worst cases 95% as good. Me and my family are all the abovers when it comes to uses gaming, movies, TV. My wife is going on strikes in Apex 120hz on the PS5 is epic, CoD 2019 was tested went a few rounds at 120 fps no problem. There is an fps counter in a gaming menu that tells you what fps you are running. Which is amazing. My other tvs could do this too but the input lag was noticeably lower on the QM6K. We are talking milliseconds faster here. But if you are playing cod with these new ai finger robot kids these days, every millisecond counts. We’ve watched all of Alien Earth on the new set and I went back and tested all the movies I know in and out. I can actually tell which movies were mastered in HDR and which were not. Even those that were not looked better than they ever did on my embarrassingly dim A80J. The QM6K is almost 2x as bright as my X90K, which is reported to be brighter than the QM6K but its NOT, not even close actually. The youtuber reviews from the main guys seem to think this tv isn’t hitting but it HITS! If I were to complain about anything it’s been the performance of the remote. Initially it was very slow and seemed like the tv wasn’t responding correctly. But I unpaired the remote and just used the RF and it went back being snappy and very fast. But then I paired it with bluetooth again and it started being slow again. i dealt with this for about 1 week then the remote just randomly started working okay and I haven’t thought about it til now. The remote is backlit and tells you how much battery life you have left in the aaa in the settings. The backlit remote is the best thing ever. If would have spent double and got a A95j or X95K I would have experienced the backlit remote earlier but after having it on the QM6K it was one of the best upgrades I got. I always loved Sony because of how perfectly you could dial in the motion. They have some super complex menus that really let you tailor the motion smoothing (interpolation) how you want. They were the best for as long as I can remember. And it was my biggest fear that the TCL wouldn’t be good enough. Sigh* this Q6MK is better, its just easier to dial in, and does everything the best Sony tv ever did. I could careless what a Bravia 7 or 9 is doing right now. Sony would have loved that I pay 2K for a Bravia 8 II. I honestly can’t justify these high end OLED and halo mini LED when Mid range mini LED TVs are better than top tier models from 3 years ago its wild. Spec wise and past experience is telling me I should have gotten the Sony Bravia 8 II. After getting this TCL. Sony is gonna have a hard time selling me anything ever again. I’ll get the QM9K unless Sony gets their act together on price point.

Premium Picture Quality Without the Premium Price

The TCL QM6K completely exceeded my expectations and has quickly become the centerpiece of my home entertainment setup. After comparing several TVs in this price range, this model offered the best combination of picture quality, gaming performance, smart features, and overall value. The QD Mini LED display is absolutely stunning. Colors are vibrant yet natural, blacks are impressively deep, and the brightness is excellent even in a well-lit room. HDR content looks fantastic, with outstanding contrast and detail in both dark and bright scenes. Whether I'm watching movies, streaming sports, or playing games, the picture consistently looks sharp and cinematic. Google TV is fast, intuitive, and easy to navigate. All of my favorite streaming apps were available immediately, and voice search makes finding content incredibly convenient. The interface feels responsive, and switching between apps is quick with no noticeable lag. Gaming performance is another major highlight. The TV delivers smooth gameplay with low input lag, making it an excellent companion for modern consoles like the PlayStation 5 Pro and Xbox Series X. The high refresh rate keeps fast-paced games looking fluid, while the excellent HDR performance adds an extra level of immersion. Audio quality is better than I expected from a flat-panel television, producing clear dialogue and surprisingly full sound for everyday viewing. While a soundbar will enhance the experience even further, the built-in speakers perform very well on their own. Highlights: • Outstanding Mini LED picture quality with deep blacks and vibrant colors • Excellent brightness and HDR performance • Smooth gaming experience with low input lag and high refresh rate • Fast and easy-to-use Google TV interface • Beautiful 4K image with impressive detail • Great value compared to similarly equipped premium televisions • Attractive, modern design with thin bezels Things to know: To get the very best image quality, it's worth spending a few minutes adjusting the picture settings based on your room lighting. Once calibrated, the display looks even more impressive. Overall, the TCL QM6K delivers premium-level performance at a price that's hard to beat. It offers an exceptional combination of picture quality, gaming features, smart functionality, and everyday usability. Whether you're building a home theater, upgrading your living room, or looking for an outstanding gaming TV, this model is an excellent choice. I would absolutely purchase it again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for flagship-level performance without paying flagship prices.

No issues, less bugs then “smart tv’s”

I have always had Samsung tvs. Because Samsung was know to be reliable I had thought. But out of 5 different new Samsung tvs. Not just me but other family, all have bugs, freezing up and being slow, I click the remote 1 time and it registers 5 times. So far tcl has shown that they are what TVs are supposed to be. Not maximizing profit on advertisements well selling sub prime hardware and software. I linked this tcl tv to google tv so it’s still a smart tv but way better software. Never glitches ever so far, a remote that is fast and responsive. And 144 hertz refresh rate it is designed with gamers in mind. I don’t consider myself a gamer, I play some warzone or Minecraft once in a while but I can literally notice the difference in smoothness. TCL tv is also build a bit thicker and heavier. Built to last how TVs used to be mad. Not paper thin tv that is made to be disposable. To conclude: if you’re tired of laggy disposable TVs, spend a little more and get a mini led tcl tv. Mini led is in other TVs at the same price point but with only 60 hertz refresh rate and ai upscaling not a true 4K TV. Only thing better then mini led is a true oled but theirs pros and cons and a true oled is going to be a lot more expensive that being said o led looks slightly better in the store display but I don’t notice a difference at home it still looks really good. I can’t recommend tcl enough. They are making less profit then other companies not making money on their own smart tv system. Putting better hardware for the price. I encourage everyone to do their own research. But tcl is a smaller company that has to try harder on their products to be able to sell like big companies such as Samsung, lg ect and it shows. I can’t recommend companies like this that are actually innovating and not trying to milk the customer for dime. If you don’t believe me that’s why Best Buy hides the tcl TVs in the back with no real display. And their a lg, Samsung, and Vizio associate for each brand, but TCL is hidden with no associates. Obviously it is a tv that makes less money for the company. The picture attached to my review are comparing to my Samsung tv. The build quality speaks for itself.
