TCL - 65" Class Q6-Series 4K UHD QLED Smart Google TV (2024)

I'm not too well versed in 4K smart TV's, but I will say this was rightfully recommended to me as the best one for it's price point on the size. Great connection and setting features, which are surprisingly easy to use. Also great image as well; which brings me to my only complaint. The picture settings for different versions like "standard" etc, offer a drastic change to each setting, not having a great base quality to operate from, when you want to reach the intended settings for certain media. The built-in soap opera effect was a disappointment when I found out I had to meticulously tweak the custom movement setting, rather than having an actual base normal version. There's NO way to turn this off and the frame rate going to normal. It's either extremely laggy and choppy, or smooth to a degree where you can visibly clock the high frame soap opera effect. This was a feature beyond pointless and egregiously annoying to fix.

I’ve been very impressed with this TV so far. The picture quality is incredibly crisp and vibrant, especially considering the price point. Colors look rich, 4K content is sharp, and the QLED display makes movies and sports really stand out. Setup was straightforward, and the on-screen instructions made it easy to get everything connected and running. The Google TV interface is intuitive, and signing into my streaming apps was quick and painless. The sound is decent for a flat-screen TV, but like most TVs these days, it really shines when paired with a soundbar. Once I added one, it completely transformed the experience. Overall, I think TCL offers outstanding value with the Q6 Series. If you're looking for a large 4K TV with an excellent picture, easy setup, and smart features without spending premium-brand prices, this is a fantastic choice. I would definitely recommend it.

Huge upgrade From my parents Mitsubishi Box TV I enjoy being able to watch the TV and if it has a glare like my previous TV has the glare is very minimal from the light coming in the window. It feels like you’re looking at a picture when TV shows are paused I also like the audio that comes from the TV. I feel like I have a surround sound system without having to pay any additional cost. The remote to the TV is very simple and I like it that way I also enjoy that the mute button is next to the off button but not so close you accidentally clicked them. I had my parents over and they loved the TV as well. I also enjoy that TCL channel feature my wife and myself have watched a movie on the channel for free so far I have had the TV for three weeks and it is a huge improvement from my previous TV. I also noticed if there is dark moments in a episode, the TV is really dark in those moments and the bright lights and colors are very solid with no glare I have watched shows on a cheap flatscreen TV and you could tell the difference when it comes to the picture quality on this TV. The picture quality is amazing. Myself and my wife found this TV at Best Buy in Tulsa Oklahoma, which is two hours away from where we live in Oklahoma when we bought the TV. We were actually looking at a cheaper 55 inch but this TV had a better sale on it so we purchased it. The only thing is a 65 inch TV does not fit really well and a Hyundai ELANTRA. So I unfortunately, had to unboxed the TV in the Best Buy parking lot and put it in the back of her ELANTRA, which does fit without the box. We were so excited when we plugged it in and we have enjoyed it ever since thank you so much Best Buy.

This digital TV model is one I can definitely recommend for a medium-sized living room. The 65-inch size is more than enough, and I placed it at an angle on the wall where it can be seen best despite the natural light coming into the house. The colors are great, it’s easy to configure, and the graphics are excellent. I’m very demanding when it comes to picture quality, and this TV has me fully satisfied.

TL;DR Extremely good Value for Money with Incredible Picture Quality, Features, Build Quality and more but will really struggle against lights. --The Positive-- • Picture Quality The picture Quality is phenomenal, The only issue I've noticed is sometimes the blacks can be pixely but you can probably fix that in settings, Other than that The colors are extremely vibrant, The motion is really smooth with almost no blur in fast motions. The TV is big and bright so you can make out every little detail. Not easy finding QLED in this budget either • Google Interface The Google interface is probably the best default interface you can get, You have the options of hundreds of apps, The Remote comes with Voice activation so you don't have to scroll for stuff and It's easy to navigate. There's multiple different apps with completely free TV and it all defaults to a tab on home screen so you can search through every channel from multiple apps. • Build Quality The TV is thin and sturdy, You can put the legs closer to the center of the TV so it shouldn't have trouble fitting on any stand which is a problem for a lot of other TV's if you don't have a lot of space to work with. It was easy to put together but you'll probably need another person just in case. The edges of the TV are super thin so no space is going to waste. The stands are also decently high up. •Features Bluetooth has been really good 90% of the time so far aside from some crackling on my Air pods which is one of the main reasons I wanted this TV, There are screenscavers for when it goes inactive and plenty of power saving features if you're not using it •Sound There's plenty of Audio settings and customization, The max volume is high so you can use whatever volume you want and the audio quality will very per person so if you're really picky you might need a sound bar • Gaming You're probably not going to find a better gaming tv at this price. The Input lag is incredibly low and the 1440p 120hz feature is a must have and if you've never used 120hz then good luck ever going back to 60hz. If you want a TV for gaming at this price then just add it to your cart already --The Negative-- •Light Reflection As you can see from the pictures the TV does not really work well against direct light. You can pretty clearly see my window even on bright scenes and there's not really any way to fix that. You can ignore it to an extent and it's to be expected at this budget but if you're in a really bright room then it's going to be a major problem. •Darkness I like to turn the brightness really low sometimes but it doesn't go as low as I'd hope and there's no option that I know of to set and switch picture settings to go between stuff.
