I have always purchased hp computers. My last hp laptop was purchased at the same time my son got his and they both stopped working the same week 4.5 years after purchase. Coincidence I say not. Mac is light, easy to use, no worry about virus protection and it will most likely outlast any Hp. Worth the extra money in the long run. I wish i had converted sooner. I love this product and my son bought one 6 months ago and loves it as well!

Outstanding battery life - I regularly see 8+ hours away from an outlet, more if I'm not using the internet. Impressive performance given its power-saving CPU. 4 GB of RAM may seem meager compared to a lot of the PC competition but don't concern yourself: OS X manages RAM much more efficiently than Windows so this is not a con. The solid state drive will change your life if you have not used one before - incredibly responsive compared to the spinning platter hard drives we've all been using for the past 30 years. This is my second MBA - bought to replace my 2012 because I had some great coupons, my first Apple was a 2008 Macbook Pro 15". Excellent resale value, durability of the aluminum chassis, superior build quality, and outstanding battery life keep me recommending the MBA to anyone who asks - the new Lenovo Yoga 3 is the only machine that comes close in terms of quality and desirability, but I am still not ready to pay $1300 for an otherwise unremarkable Windows laptop.
