My MacBook Air is easy to use, keyboard is nice to the touch, its light weight. Battery life is excellent. Recharges fast. Safari is a nice web browser and navigating on the net is easy. Screen size is adequate, but I still need my reading glasses. Its a lot of money, but I financed over 18 months and I figure if I can just sent $100 every month, I'll be done in 10 months time. I still haven't used it for entertainment yet, but I want to learn how to stream T.V. shows and movies through net flicks. I took the Discover My Mac down at the Apple Store in Tigard at Washington Square and it was highly beneficial for a new user. If I had to do it again, I would definitely buy the same computer. I'm very happy.

Helped pick this out for my mom for christmas. She was looking to upgrade from her old computer. She loves how easy it was to start using and how light and portable it is. The battery life seemed to be significantly better than her last. Her only disappointment was the lack of CD-ROM but that seems to be a trend with new computers.

Great Laptop and Best Buy Purchase

I purchased a MacBook 13.3" Air with 256GB Solid State storage and 4GB RAM from Best Buy on their last sale which was at least a $100 less then Apple Store price. Apple products do occasionally go on sale. This laptop sports a flash storage at 256GB and adequate only because of available Cloud online storage. The absence of a mechanical hard drive appears to have quadrupled my battery time. This is my estimate but you can check the actual specs provided by Apple. This laptop is really light without the hard drive and DVD burner. Yup, you will have to use a portable external one if you do CDs or DVDs. I personally am fine with the omission as the light weight helps if you need something mobile.

Fast Laptop with Long Lasting Battery Life

I just made the switch to a macbook after using Windows for many years. The battery life on this is AMAZING! I get about 12.5 hrs and can go almost all day using it before having to charge it again. The laptop turns on from "sleep mode" right as you lift up your screen and takes about 5 seconds from a "shutdown mode." It definitely did take some time to get used to though, but once I got used to everything I have been really enjoying it. The only thing I do miss is my big screen size (I prefer bigger screen sizes), but the 13.3" is sufficient for everyday use. The biggest thing I had to get used to though was the scrolling. You scroll down to go up like you would on an ipad/tablet. But the other features on the trackpad are really nice. I would definitely recommend this laptop, especially when Best Buy has their macbook sales (you could also get student coupons on macbooks every once in a while through their student program).

I had an HP 17" computer that just didn't work for me. As a college student, I needed something light and portable. Not only did I find something so easy to use but the battery life is unbeatable. Set up was understandable and I was able to make this computer my own.

Super light. Has great battery life. Plenty of speed for anything I could want to do. I have always owned Windows computers before and takes getting used to the Apple OS. Easy to see why they are so popular and get good reviews by tech writers.

This is the first Apple computer I've ever owned after having a Dell laptop for almost 6 years. I am student teaching this semester, so I needed a laptop that was easily portable, had good battery life, and enough space for all of the word documents and power points I have to make for school- in addition to all of my photos and music. I don't think I'll be running out of space anytime soon. Even though the Air does not have a disk drive (unless you purchase it separately), it was easy to transfer my files, pictures, and music via a flash drive. It you are browsing for a computer to meet basic needs, this is a great option but there are more budget friendly options available. Ultimately, I am happy with my purchase and I would recommend the product.

Lightweight, fast processor speed, large hard drive. sleek look--all of these are features which were important to me. I travel a lot as a professor, and wanted something that was powerful enough to handle my work, but lightweight enough to not weigh me down. This is the perfect combination of those factors.

First of all, I am new to MAC products. I have been intimately involved with technology since the mid-70s. So, am more than familiar with technology. I have an iPhone, and iPad, but everything else I own is Win-OS. MacBook Air has been perfect, out of the box. I've purchased a Seagate external hard drive, as this one comes with only 256MB inside. I've purchased the MAC CD.DVD drive, as this one comes with nothing inside. MACs are relatively expensive (compared to most Win-OS systems), but so far, worth it. Love the size, a LOT. I purchased this because I am away from home about half of the year, and cannot take my HP all-in-one desktop with me. It's (HP) somewhat portable, but not as portable as the MacBook Air. Everything I have (MAC-wise) travels with me in a small Targus briefcase, and I love it. I am retired, a photographer, and my kids live in a different state, across the country. Lots of nights in hotels, and I want my technology to sleep inside, not in my car. I drive a small car, so luggage space is a premium, for me. This laptop helps more than you can ever imagine. Small, yet powerful. Having said all of that, I am still learning how to do what should be simple things, one of which is to format flash drives and SD disks so that they work interchangeably with my Win-OS desktop. I need(ed) something small, but something that could talk comfortably to my HP, and so far, haven't figured it out. It's possible, but not intuitive nor automatic. I have a strange feeling that once I get very familiar with my new MAC, I'll not turn back. Love it, so far. But, can't stress enough, never buy any technology without first having a serious talk with yourself about what you plan to do with the new machine. Be certain that you adequately buy. But, don't ever underbuy. Overbuy is okay, if you have the pocketbook to handle it. Nice technology, for sure. So far, it is solving the problem for which it was purchased.

My husband and I bought a MacBook Air to search the internet, store music and pictures, and complete grad school assignments. We absolutely love it! It's light, easy to use and very fast. It was different going from a PC to a Mac, but whenever I have a question, I search the question and tons of helpful answers are available. Also, the guy at best buy who sold us the product was extremely informative. We would highly recommend this product and buying it from best buy.

Bought the Mac Book Air and the associate that assisted was very knowledgeable and helpful. I have been enjoying my purchase which will be used for my senior year in high school and I will take it to college. I have been very pleased with the speed and it travels well in my backpack. The battery life is great.

My 2nd Macbook Air, 3rd Mac Laptop - I Like It!

Outstanding battery life - I regularly see 8+ hours away from an outlet, more if I'm not using the internet. Impressive performance given its power-saving CPU. 4 GB of RAM may seem meager compared to a lot of the PC competition but don't concern yourself: OS X manages RAM much more efficiently than Windows so this is not a con. The solid state drive will change your life if you have not used one before - incredibly responsive compared to the spinning platter hard drives we've all been using for the past 30 years. This is my second MBA - bought to replace my 2012 because I had some great coupons, my first Apple was a 2008 Macbook Pro 15". Excellent resale value, durability of the aluminum chassis, superior build quality, and outstanding battery life keep me recommending the MBA to anyone who asks - the new Lenovo Yoga 3 is the only machine that comes close in terms of quality and desirability, but I am still not ready to pay $1300 for an otherwise unremarkable Windows laptop.

I use my Mac primarily for surfing the web, responding to emails and some light "office work". It is very fast, has all the memory I need and seems very durable with the aluminum body. It is also very light which I LOVE! I wish I had broke up with Windows years ago and made the switch. There's been a bit of a learning curve going from Windows to Mac but it's nothing you can't handle and learn with Google! This Mac ROCKS!

I was hesitant to make the switch to a Mac since I have always used PCs, but I am so glad I did! It works so much better, the different apps are so neat, it syncs with my other Apple products - I could go on and on! I also like that I no longer have to deal with the stupid Windows updates that were constantly slowing down my computer incessantly. I love how lightweight it is and how long the battery life is.

I've always had Windows computers and assumed I would have trouble converting over to a Macbook and hesitated initially but since I've been using my iPhone and iPad for years now it made the transition easier and have enjoyed learning about my new Macbook. On top of everything this computer is super fast and lightweight. Glad I made the switch.
