This is my first macbook, and I'm simply blown away. I regret not making this purchase a long time ago. This computer makes doing school work, surfing the web, and streaming easy. It's lightweight and flawless in design. I definitely recommend this to everyone.

I bought my first Mac a few years ago, and I'd never go back to a PC! When my old Mac finally needed to be replaced, there was no question that I'd buy the new version. It's light, it's reliable, the battery life is long, and I love the functionality of Macs!

This is the second Air I've had, and everytime I use it, I realize how much better it is in ergonomics and performance than the competition. The size/weight and keyboard feel are "just right". I use it for business, and am running 'Windows for practicallity.

This Macbook is lightweight and very portable. Unless one is doing heavy duty computing like video editing, this computer should meet most of the everyday needs of the average user. The screen is not retina display, but it is still a very good display.

What an amazing computer. Great speed, operating system, and connections. The flash drive performs much faster than an optical drive and the battery life lasts as advertised. Still challenged with some shortcuts moving from a PC but very happy overall!

Super light. Has great battery life. Plenty of speed for anything I could want to do. I have always owned Windows computers before and takes getting used to the Apple OS. Easy to see why they are so popular and get good reviews by tech writers.

Apple doesn't mess with success. While that statement could easily apply to any of the products coming out of Cupertino these days, it's especially true of the MacBook Air, which hasn't seen a significant design change in years. While the ultrabook market has become quite popular, the 13-inch MacBook Air has continued to be one of the best thin-and-light laptops around, and this year's model ($1,099, as tested) gets a hardware update that keeps it at the front of the pack, making it our Editors' Choice for mainstream ultraportable laptops.

My first Apple computer having used iPads and iPhones. Thrilled with it so far. Wish it had Retina display, but regardless, the display is beautiful to behold even if it doesn't have the HD resolution of other Ultrabooks.
There is just something about the MacBook Air are that screams quality, premium build, look and feel, and fast, efficient functionality.
I'm quickly getting up to speed on OS X which is a pretty big change from decades of Windows usage. Nevertheless, it works buttery smooth and lightening fast. There are occasional hiccups where an app might freeze, but compared to my previous experiences with laptops (granted not SSD laptops), it's like driving a Ferrari vs. a Pinto.
Very, very pleased with this item and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone else or buy again.

When I walked into BB to buy a Mac Pro Air, I expected to purchase the 11" screen model. Seeing the 11" next to the 13" screen I immediately saw I would be $200 happier with the larger screen. Absence of a User Guide has slowed learning all the features and logic of the OS. My experience has been with iPhone & iPad Mini, which act differently in many situations. My prior laptop is a Windows OS so the change is significant. My first Apple product was an Apple IIE in 1979, which offered no guide for modern computing.
Keyboard is comfortable for adult fingers and track pad is slightly recessed, so wrists do not move cursor while typing. The ability to resize screen display with a two finger motion is a pleasant feature. Display is sufficiently bright. Online videos play well and the picture is excellent. Although the screen dims when running on battery.
Unlike my previous laptop, the Mac Air is cool when sitting on my lap. It is also considerably lighter. Yet, the power cord is too easily detached and comes out without warning.
The system starts up without delay. Since most of my computing is email and browsing, getting to my objective is quick and easy. I have been taking on-line courses, some with video and find the screen size and volume to be adequate for educational purposes. Since I do not use the system to print, I cannot comment on integrating print, esp., photo print interfaces.
The App store fairly matches that of the iPhone/iPad selection, esp., Evernote. FaceTime and Apple iMessage work, so I can contact family on their iPhones. Haven't tried Skype yet. Lack of GPS is noticeable and a reminder that this is a laptop and not an iPhone. Yes, I have fingerprints on the screen from forgetting it's not a tablet.
One complaint that is significant is lack of an email system similar to MS MS Mail or Outlook, thus my email history seems lost unless I can find a work around. Also, the integration of Excell with Numbers makes me nervous. Oh yes, I use DropBox at work and home to share Excell worksheets.
It is nice not having to worry so much about virus protection, firewalls and registry slowdowns.

We own a MacBook Pro and now this MacBook Air, so it easy for us to compare. The MacBook Air gives up nothing in performance, but is incredibly lighter - therefore perfect for traveling. The only disappointment is that the MacBook Air does not have a retina display. (It's not bad, but after you have used an Apple iPad Mini with retina...)

This is my fourth Apple Macbook and they continue to be the best quality and smoothest operating system today. It's a wonder why so many competitors try to copy the Apple design, but just can't get the OS anything close. Great graphics, simplicity, lightweight and dependable performance. This is the best Macbook I have owned so far. They just keep getting better and the Yosemite OS is nothing short of awesome. This is another example of why Microsoft continues to decline and loose market share. If you're looking for an easy to use, dependable laptop look no further than the Macbook Air. The standard system in this unit is far superior to what the others offer. They deliver cheap, Apple delivers a working solution with efficiency and ease of use.

I love how light the air is. I can bring it in my big purse to work which is so convenient with it's light weight. It's so fast and the best but staff was great for transferring my old data to the new computer.

First of all, I am new to MAC products. I have been intimately involved with technology since the mid-70s. So, am more than familiar with technology. I have an iPhone, and iPad, but everything else I own is Win-OS. MacBook Air has been perfect, out of the box. I've purchased a Seagate external hard drive, as this one comes with only 256MB inside. I've purchased the MAC CD.DVD drive, as this one comes with nothing inside. MACs are relatively expensive (compared to most Win-OS systems), but so far, worth it. Love the size, a LOT. I purchased this because I am away from home about half of the year, and cannot take my HP all-in-one desktop with me. It's (HP) somewhat portable, but not as portable as the MacBook Air. Everything I have (MAC-wise) travels with me in a small Targus briefcase, and I love it. I am retired, a photographer, and my kids live in a different state, across the country. Lots of nights in hotels, and I want my technology to sleep inside, not in my car. I drive a small car, so luggage space is a premium, for me. This laptop helps more than you can ever imagine. Small, yet powerful. Having said all of that, I am still learning how to do what should be simple things, one of which is to format flash drives and SD disks so that they work interchangeably with my Win-OS desktop. I need(ed) something small, but something that could talk comfortably to my HP, and so far, haven't figured it out. It's possible, but not intuitive nor automatic. I have a strange feeling that once I get very familiar with my new MAC, I'll not turn back. Love it, so far. But, can't stress enough, never buy any technology without first having a serious talk with yourself about what you plan to do with the new machine. Be certain that you adequately buy. But, don't ever underbuy. Overbuy is okay, if you have the pocketbook to handle it. Nice technology, for sure. So far, it is solving the problem for which it was purchased.

I decided to try Apple after a few of my Windows Laptops failed. To my surprise, I was impressed. It took a little getting used to, but when I did, it was fun. I really liked the size and weight of this MacBook Air especially when I traveled. It was great on the plane and a conversation generator while in the bar waiting for a flight. I guess you can call me a convert. Apple 1, Windows none..

My husband and I bought a MacBook Air to search the internet, store music and pictures, and complete grad school assignments. We absolutely love it! It's light, easy to use and very fast. It was different going from a PC to a Mac, but whenever I have a question, I search the question and tons of helpful answers are available. Also, the guy at best buy who sold us the product was extremely informative. We would highly recommend this product and buying it from best buy.
