I have been working with PC's and windows since the early 90s when windows first came out, since switching to Mac a year ago I will never go back. All the frustrating problems I had are now gone. It's amazing, but I haven't ran into any issues with the Mac. That being said, I upgraded from Mac Air 11" 128GB to this 13" 256GB. more so for the extra space to run parallels win8 and winxp. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because the battery life was supposed to be better than the 11" but it is actually a little less. But I still love my Air and the battery life still far out exceeds and PC Laptop. It is very light weight and screen is phenomenal. Speed is amazing. This i5 beats any i7 PC processor. it boots winXP in parallels in just a few seconds.

Overall this is a tremendous laptop! Easy to use, very fast and incredibly lightweight!

I love this laptop. I take it everywhere because it is so light and fast. I used to use my iPad around the house. The Macbook Air is so convenient that I find I rarely use the iPad anymore. I like it so much, I bought one for my wife and gave the iPad to my son.

Very light, very fast processor and quick out of hibernation mode. Good battery life.

This computer is amazing!! I've had four different Laptops the last couple years and this is the best one I've ever purchased! I love the look and feel of it. It is very light and super fast! I love the fact that all my contacts, pictures, and music are all available from all my apple devices. I love that I can access everything on all my devices the iPad, iMac, iPhone, and now my MacBook.

I use this laptop for basic stuff, writing, internet, storing pics & music. I was bummed at first that the lightweight version didn't have disc player but bought the usb version so I can still burn cds and it works great! It's fast, accessible, and easy to use (which is awesome since I am first time Mac user).

This is our first MacBook and we love it. We are beginning our migrations from Windows based products to Apple based products and we could not be happier with this purchase. My biggest gripes about it is: 1.) They are using a processor that is about a year old since that is the age of the particular model. Portability was extremely important and for only about $140.00 more the Pro had a processor almost twice the speed. I could not sacrifice portability for weight. 2.) The SS Hard Drive is only 256GB. With the cost of these types of drives coming down dramatically in the past year, Apple should have moved up in drive size OR brought the price down. The size of the PC is perfect! Better specs would have given it 5 stars

This is my first macbook and I'm so happy I finally invested in an apple laptop. By far the best laptop I've ever owned. It is extremely light and thin making it easy to travel with. I bought the 13 inch and it is the perfect size. I love everything about this laptop and would recommend it to anyone.

I am very pleased with the customer service that I experienced when I purchased my MacBook Air. The MacBook air is perfect for my use. It is lightweight, extremely fast and meets the needs for me. I use it for minimal web browsing but also for general photo editing. I love my MacBook!

Really sweet little computer, nice and lightweight,but with plenty of speed and space. I sometimes miss the cd drive, but besides that, never feel as though I am lacking features. Good buy!

The MacBook Air performs as impressively as it looks and feels. In addition to being what is probably the lightest full size laptop on the planet, it has an amazing battery life that lasts as long as 12 hours. The system performance is also great - fast, efficient and great graphics. If you still need to carry around a laptop (and what student doesn't) this is a great choice. There is also a less quantifiable but equally important "cool factor" associated with having a MacBook. If you need a laptop, this is the way to go.

finally switched from windows after my upgraded my slow windows 7 (vaio) computer to windows 8 is sucks on computer with out a touch screen and it was still slow after one month or two and it was confusing, it also crashed a lot in my old 2008 laptop (over all i didn't like it), among other problems with my old computer so i bought this macbook air with my student discount and is awesome the battery life last me about two days with regular use unlike my old computer which lasted me 5 minutes on a fully charged battery. Ive heard macs don't have a lot of games but I don't really play video games on my computer so I'm good. this is the best computer I've ever had, os x is way better than windows is fast, looks nice and its easy to use I'm going to use it next semester for college.

I've always had Windows computers and assumed I would have trouble converting over to a Macbook and hesitated initially but since I've been using my iPhone and iPad for years now it made the transition easier and have enjoyed learning about my new Macbook. On top of everything this computer is super fast and lightweight. Glad I made the switch.
