• have you tried turning the temp down colder? is the compressor running or do you just hear it trying to start then hear a clicking sound? if so...the compressor could be bad or the overload relay (which starts the compressor) is bad.

• Fresh unfrozen good placed in freezer should have the freezer setting to high for 24 hours.
