This is a great machine as far as power, speed, memory, etc. go. However, there are many issues and inconveniences. First. Mac desktops are just inconvenient in general. Using dual monitors is a pain. You can’t go full screen without changing settings and jumping through hoops. The desktop interface is so annoying unless you buy their awful keyboard (the least ergonomic keyboard on the market) and their awful mousepad (same). Moreover, the screen randomly twitches and tweaks out. Boxes appear. The sleep function is HORRIBLE. It has trouble going to sleep; trouble waking up; wakes up instantly upon the slightest movement or noise at times; won’t sleep with ANY program remotely related to video running; etc. It’s fast. It can handle a lot of work at once. But it is a pain in the you know what. I love my MacBook. Wish I got a PC for my desktop, though. Overpriced nonsense.

To sum it all up, I had fallen out of love with Windows as an operating system and could no longer ignore the glaring security issues , as well as incoming windows 11 changes that make those issues even harder to ignore. I decided to switch to mac being that i have grown to love stability in my day to day operations. While gaming is slowly improving in the mac space, i bought this mostly for productivity sake (i have consoles for gaming). The learning curve is not too steep for most tasks and if you have an iphone or another apple product, setup is seemless. The way everything just WORKS together is pretty amazing. Loving it so far and not missing windows.

I replaced an older 2015 Imac with this new mini Mac. The experience is much unchanged but this little mac with it’s M4 Pro chip is lightning quick. I mostly do graphic design and video editing and this tiny little silver box is magical. So much power and quiet I might add, pour out of this new form factor. It’s really hard to believe how much performance is built into this new mac. I really also want to get into music editing but I’m sure it will also handle music with ease. Its hard to believe my first PC I had builld back in the 90’s with 133Mhz cost 2 as much as this and took up tons od floor space and super heavy. Technology is unbelievable.

Purchased the Mac Mini M4 Pro to finally replace my working but no longer Apple supported 2014 5K iMac. While I got an unexpectedly long life from the iMac, the timing of the release of the Mac Mini M4 convinced me that it was time to upgrade. Upfront, my current workflow would be easily met by the base M4 Mac Mini however I opted to get the Pro version. My reasoning is that with all of the coming AI engines/agents/chatbots, LLMs and processing that can and may be needed to run locally, as well as the long life I expect to get from the Mac Mini, it was wise to invest a bit more to future proof my investment. The new M4 Mac Mini is amazing.

Mac Mini: It was easy to transfer programs and files from my iMac. Compact and quiet - just what I expected from Apple.

No slack time. Speed is awesome. A mini powerhouse. Does great with my pictures. No slack time when more than one program is open

This M4 Mini will outperform 95% of all workstations and 99% of desktops. May not be the best for gaming (Mac OS limitations) but for all other applications it is wonderful. TB5 eliminates the high cost of upgrading to Apple storage ( just use M.2 with a portable enclosure).

Apple hit a home run with the new Mac mini. It's a great new form factor and works well remaining cool and quiet during everyday tasks. It is a very strong performer, especially the Pro model that I got. The only real negative is the cost of upgrading memory and storage if you need to.

Absolutely perfect. I didn’t need to spend the money on the larger one. Fits perfectly on my desk and plenty fast and powerful. Love the AI

It works like advertised. Smaller footprint is space saving and the sound is greatly improved over the M2 Pro. It is noticeably faster, however the M2 Pro meet my needs. I use the Pro for multiple displays. With the smaller footprint I take the mini with me while I travel to work.

The performance is so great for its size that I'm returning it for the base model. Don't get me wrong. Nothing is wrong with the Pro model. However, for its price, I've overestimated the amount of performance per dollar I needed out of the Mac Mini.

Upgrading to this from a MacBook Air for use with working from home was a game changer. It's super fast, compact and I'd highly recommend

So far it hasnt failed. Replaced my wifes 10 year old macbook with this, now is primarily her computer but the family computer as well. As long as this lasts 10+ years, purchase will be worth it. So far so good.

This tiny Mac is a monster. It plays all my MacOS Steam games like a dream and does everyday tasks instantly while being whisper quiet.

Little bit of a learning curve if you've never had an apple account before. Got locked out of my new Apple ID and had to wait a week to get back in, which meant I couldn't use the Mac for a week, because it needed immediate updates. Can't see the password as you create it, so go slow and steady while creating your password. Loving the product once it was set up.

Awesome! Runs fast and great. I am very happy with this. The folks at Apples were great and fast in helping me set it up. You can't go wrong with Apple products.
