Works for me to see my house when I’m not home easy use

The myQ Smart Garage Camera can be used as a stand alone camera and work independently of major equipment or elaborate wiring, as it is wireless. Although it is a camera designed to be utilized in your garage, you can use it any place in and around your home or office which makes it a very versatile security camera. It is a simple and easy way to keep an eye on your garage, but the benefits don’t just stop there. I have been using the Smart Garage Camera for about a week and I absolutely love it. I don’t know why I did not think about owning one of these sooner. I have security cameras inside and outside my home, but before the myQ camera, my garage remained a blind spot and I didn’t think it was necessary to have a camera to watch my cars or the junk inside, but I was so very wrong and limited in my thinking. I am currently using the myQ Smart Garage Camera along with a Smart Garage Control and the pairing of the two is a marriage made in heaven. Utilizing both of them in tandem is beyond fantastic. They work seamlessly to give me 24/7 access to my garage from anywhere in the world. Both units were easy to install. I attached my to the far wall in the corner of the garage so that I can see everything within the garage, but it has a very strong magnet that can simply be attached underneath the garage door motor. I found connecting the camera to my existing wifi and cell phone extremely easy. The designers of this unit thought of just about everything and made sure this would be a true do it yourself installation. The unit utilizes bluetooth integration and just about every step had defaulted information which reduced the chances for error. I didn’t have to manually enter the date or time. I didn’t have to enter a bunch of serial numbers or codes. I simply scanned a few bar codes and moved on to the next step. You can choose to read the instruction instalation manual and or watch the how to videos. The system is so advanced, that I was able to connect the Smart Garage Control and Garage Camera to my older garage door opener (more than 15 years old) in less than a minute. The camera and smart Garage control worked the very first time once it was successfully connected to my garage door opener. I love being able to see what’s going on in my garage at all times. The picture quality is so clear it makes me feel I need to finally clean my garage, because I am constantly reminded of all the junk I have in there, lol. The camera offers clear sounding two way audio, I am even able to hear when my washer or dryer stops and no longer have to keep checking several times while I am washing clothes. I also have a peace of mind as my garage is attached to my home which also has another door leading into my house. The myQ Smart Garage Camera allows me to see and hear clearly what’s going on in my garage at all times. The Smart Garage Camera is very responsive to sound and motion. I witnessed a spider crawl. I then received a notification that there was movement in my garage; I received a notification alert to my phone and smart watch via text and email that included a color video of a spider moving and then the video returned to black and white. I decided to reduce the sensitivity to movement as that setting was too sensitive. The picture quality is not only clear, but I am able to see things when it is dark via night vision and there is no delay in movement like other security cameras. Because I am also using the camera with the smart garage control, I am able to get notifications when my garage door is opened and closed or even when it stops. I am able to see movement photos and there’s even a smart watch app that gives me even more access to some of the features and control my garage remotely. Yes, I can actually open and close my garage utilizing my smart watch. Not only is the live view clear, but the recorded videos look clear as well. The myQ app is easy to use and so easy to navigate. I like the way the recorded videos are displayed and it even indicates when one of your videos have been previously viewed and they are marked watched. There is also video history of all the times the garage opened and closed. The settings within the app and the amount of control is too numious for me to list of of them in my review, but one feature that I really like is the auto garage closure feature. There have been times when I have left my home and forgot to close the garage or times when the garage was left open all night and I had no idea. I can now program the garage to close at a certain time every-night, which adds another peace of mind. This system worked so seamlessly that I never felt a need to contact the company for support or additional instructions. I wish all electronics worked this easily.

The chamberlain my Q camera is easy to install, but was a little tricky to connect to my WiFi. I had to create a secondary path due to my mesh network which had more bandwidth. I tried to keep a second channel for my security devices.

Best $50 product I've purchased in a while. I have this camera mounted in my garage and connected with the MyQ garage opener. I like having the ability to check my garage through the app.

Great Garage Camera, decent resolution. The one thing that needs to be improved is the microphone sound quality, it is so poor that I cannot understand what the other person is saying using the apps.

This product was farely simple to install, has a nice wide angle camera to capture left to right completely in the garage, i've mounted mine directly below the garage door opener,(camera is magnetic). It has sensitivity settings on the App and i have it on the least sensitive mode, and it still picks up movements in the garage or ground shakes i don't even feel, and sends me a message. The most 'Real Activity' its picked up is my neighbor who has my code, sneaking into my beer fridge to grab a cold one. You can name the Camera, mine is call "Beer Spy". I am happy with the purchase and would recommend the camera.

Love my garage camera since my garage door opener is an old model. I get to monitor when my garage door open especially when I have packages delivered.

I have very mixed thoughts on this product. On the surface of it, the MyQ Smart Garage Camera is a great camera. Setup was a breeze (I already have a Chamberlain MyQ enabled Opener) so I had previously had the MyQ app on my phone. I was able to mount it magnetically to the bottom of my opener, and simply plug it into the open outlet that my garage opener was already plugged into in the ceiling. Picture quality of the camera is great, offering 140 degrees of viewing, I could see my entire 2.5 car garage width and side door within it's viewing area. The camera made it easy to check to make sure no one was in the way if I received a notification from the app that the garage had been left open (and with kids who play outside a lot, it tends to happen). Based on this so far, I would have given it 4-5 stars. Now what I really don't like is that Chamberlain forces you to pay for a subscription if you want to record video to the cloud for either 7 days or 30 days. Otherwise, it only streams live. Some might be ok with that, but I have no interest in paying for a subscription, especially when there are solutions that you can buy much cheaper cameras that offer choices to either store footage in the cloud, or locally on a NAS or even an SD card. Chamberlain should have offered an option for local storage or provided free 2-3 days of cloud storage for all purchasers, given the price of the camera. That brings me to my last point affecting my rating... the price. It's relatively expensive as a camera that only works with the MyQ app and doesn't offer local storage options. I don't feel that the value is here considering the current price point. If it came with a lifetime subscription for storage of some kind of duration, or was less expensive in its current form, then my rating would be higher. But the camera itself is solid... great quality, motion detection, and ease of installation, all in the MyQ app, is attractive.

I purchased a Ring alarm system and saw devices that I could connect. I was surprised to see that I could get a smart garage door opener for my Chamberlain. I have had the camera for a month. I decided to give this one a chance since I could connect with to my ring system and it was on sale. The setup was not difficult. You download the app and it literally walks you through attaching a unit to your garage door to setting up the hub to mounting the camera. To attach the hub to the wall, I had to drill a couple of holes in the wall. You will need WiFi to so the hub can connect to the camera. The camera can be attached to the opener itself or on a shell or on the wall. My AC unit is in my garage, so I ended up attaching it there. It has a magnetic base. The setup was about 25 minutes for me but it can be done faster. If I can convince my wife, I will set up the Amazon Key feature to have delivered Amazon packages placed in the garage. There are a couple of subscription options if you want stored footage. You can choose storage up to 7 days or up to 30 days. I had a free trial and have not decided to purchase one at this time. With the app, you can open and close the garage from anywhere. It will let you know when it opens and when it closes. Forgot to let the door down or not sure if you closed it; check the app and either close it or confirmed you did. At any time, you can take a live look into your garage. You can view in portrait or landscape mode (by flipping your phone). You can view previous motion picked up by the camera and yes, you can see your garage in the dark. You can also share abilities with other users as well. It is also compatible with certain vehicles (not mines though). All in all, I would recommend this to a friend. It gives you flexibility and piece of mine. You can also get those Amazon packages delivered and stored and not have to worry whether they will be there with you get home. I hope this helps.

I installed the camera 3 weeks ago and it works well. I had to reach out to customer service for assistance setting up the camera, but the rep was very helpful. It would have also been nice if the camera plugged into the garage door opener. All in all, I am satisfied
